crackfic where adam chase is a long lost cousin of annabeth and magnus

adam, in trying to give himself more luck in the upcoming jet lag season, sacrifices a meal to hermes, who (due to chase family luck, and for hermes' entertainment) actually answers and gives him a blessing. he's incredibly lucky during the course of the season, but he's also attracted a bunch of greek monsters with his newfound godlyness. annabeth becomes aware of this and recruits magnus to help save his life (and by extention, the lives of sam and ben)

i was reading back through my notes app and found an old jet lag game that i made in 2022, and i really want them to add some of the challenges i came up with, they kind of slap:

- eat the national pastry

- eat the national meal

- buy a cheesy souvenir from a local merchant

- become a street performer (must busk for money for at least five minutes)

- use chalk to make sidewalk art

- buy a book in the official language of the country you’re in (choose the first alphabetically if there are multiple) and read the first page aloud

- pet ten dogs using an “I pet dogs for free” sign

- find the largest cathedral in the city and perform at least two minutes of music within its sanctuary

- attend a local museum and compliment one piece of art (3 compliments)

- create an outfit consisting entirely of clothing from local shops, you must wear this for the rest of the game and the outfit must not exceed $100 per person

- buy a stranger a pastry

- enter a local government building and ask if you can get an photo with the highest ranking position there (extra money if they actually get the photo)

- bake a cake

- pet a cow

- write a song/poem using a phrase given to you by a random stranger and perform it. you must perform in a public space in front of at least ten people

- get a stranger to play a game of tag (or pillow fight?) with you in a local park. the game must last for at least five minutes and you must go all out
