Look at Cas. He’s like “That’s him. That’s the human I’ve chosen to love. He’s a doof, but he’s MY doof.”

HERE’S JENSEN OBJECTIFYING MISHA WITH THE TERM “HOT”, AND JARED JUDGING HIM FOR IT
Would it be enough if I could never give you peace?
Dean after he loses Cas
regarding 15x17 “Unity”
So Chuck, who is the Bad Writer personified, likes to recycle storylines. So he created this elaborate setup where he wanted Sam or Dean to kill the other, a la Cain and Abel. He went so far as to make John and Mary soulmates, all for the sake of a bloodline so that Sam and Dean could be meatsuits for archangels and have a nice big apocalypse. Except it didn’t happen the way he wanted. The story got away from him. His favorite characters on his favorite show just (again) wouldn’t cooperate. So Mr. Bad Writer pulled an author-insert and played out that narrative himself -- with Amara.

2020 #GISH Item 132: A velvet painting of #Supernatural characters in the Men of Letters Bunker playing poker.
I would absolutely buy this if it were a real painting...?? I’m upset that it’s not...?!
No matter how the finale goes, whether I like it, love it, or want to burn my bluray collection, I’m going to go through a rough time after the show is over. Supernatural has been a huge part of my life for the better part of a decade. I haven’t missed live watching an episode since I started with 7x01. I have shaped my life around my love for this little show that could, and it’s going to leave a hole when it’s gone.
Sometimes I feel relieved that it’s ending. It feels a little bit like freedom.
But I’m going to mourn. I know I’ll be okay eventually, but I’m prepared to be really emotionally fucked up for a while.
I’m not the only one. So many of us have built our love for this show into our personalities. And we have a lot of dissenting opinions. On shipping, on character development, on plots. Probably the only thing that unites us is a universal distaste for Bucklemming.
There’s going to be fighting. Lashing out, even among people who previously got along. Please try to be self aware, pay attention to your own behaviors. And please try to keep kindness in your heart for those who fall to their own darker impulses. And at the first sign of wank in your inbox, turn off your anon.
Be soft with yourself and with others. We need to take care of ourselves and each other.

Dean Winchester out here being the man Cas fell for in so many ways
Some thoughts with regards to 15x17 “Unity”.
It’s established in this episode that Chuck did not write the “connection” between Amara and Dean... which has largely gone unmentioned for a few seasons now. Why, then, did Amara think there was this deep link between herself and Dean even after he was relieved of the MOC? Why did Dean feel the effects of it himself? He felt an inexplicable pull toward Amara, at least early on, despite that connection being nonconsensual for him.
Amara was introduced on the heels of the Mark of Cain plot. At this point, Dean was tapped deeply into the darkness within himself, which could easily explain why he was drawn to Amara who *is* The Darkness.
But why, long after Dean was freed of the burden of the Mark of Cain, does Amara still feel inexplicably drawn to him? I think this is pretty well established an episode later, in “Despair”, with Castiel’s confession of love to Dean -- and moreover, the *reasons* Cas loves him so.
Dean has made some extremely poor choices over the years, to say the least. He definitely has darkness in him, as does any human. But as Cas says, Dean’s done everything he’s ever done.... for love. He’s the most caring, loving human Castiel (ANGEL OF THE LORD) will ever know. Dean is, ultimately, Light.
Darkness and Light. Yin and Yang, as Chuck later says. Two sides of the same coin. Balance. tl;dr I think Amara, this ancient, cosmic being who was locked away for so long, just didn’t understand the nature of her connection with Dean. And they never really did anything more with this subplot after season 11, aside from Amara agreeing to help neutralize Chuck in season 15. So why bring it up again after all this time, when it no longer matters and Amara’s not exactly there anymore? That’s called tying up a loose end, and it relates directly to Castiel’s confession -- and how Dean will ultimatley react to that. I’m just saying. One episode left.
Castiel ‘I don’t sweat under any circumstances’
I don’t know if I already reblogged this but honestly I don’t care
This is still one of the best video edits I’ve ever seen.
Same, Mick. Same.
So much queer subtext, how is *anyone* surprised??
So I’m back on Tumblr, after a loooooooonnngggg hiatus. My third or possibly fourth? attempt at Twitter ultimately sucked me in and I’ve been there very since, but I have very much missed Tumblr. Never more so than right now. one episode from the very end of Supernatural. Tumblr is what led me there and here is as good a place to put all my various thinky thoughts and extended feels.
Oh my Jack, I didn’t even realize until just now that Dean took the stairs a few at a time, that’s how desperately he wanted Cas back. *cries*
Homosexual arm activity
Oh my God JENSEN CALM DOWN
REMINDING YOU OF THE PURGATORY STORYLINE
DEAN’S PTSD REVOLVED AROUND LOOKING FOR CAS AND LEAVING CAS IN PURGATORY
DEAN HAD MET BENNY EARLY ON AND BENNY KNEW THE WAY OUT WHICH MEANS DEAN COULD’VE ESCAPED AND SPARED HIMSELF BUT HE CHOSE TO STAY AND LOOK FOR CAS
DEAN REFUSED TO LEAVE PURGATORY WITHOUT CAS
CAS RAN AWAY TO KEEP DEAN SAFE
DEAN IS NOT MUCH OF A PRAYING TYPE BUT “I PRAYED TO YOU, CAS. EVERY NIGHT”
“I NEED YOU”
“IF LEVIATHANS WANT TO TAKE A SHOT AT US, LET THEM”
DEAN WAS WILLING TO RISK HIS LIFE JUST TO GET CAS OUT
“I’M NOT LEAVING HERE WITHOUT YOU, UNDERSTAND?”
CAS HAD NO INTENTION OF LEAVING PURGATORY BUT SINCE DEAN REFUSED TO LEAVE WITHOUT HIM, HE WENT ALONG WITH IT TO APPEASE DEAN AND SHOVE HIM THROUGH THE PORTAL
DEAN, SINCE ESCAPING PURGATORY, FELT LIKE SHIT BECAUSE HE CONVINCED HIMSELF THAT IT WAS HIS FAULT THAT CAS DIDN’T GET OUT
DEAN WOULD RATHER BEAR WITH THE GUILT OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SAVE CAS THAN ACCEPT THE FACT THAT CAS CHOSE PURGATORY OVER HIM
