Is raccacoonie proof of the Mandela effect?
Mona Alkurd , one of the Palestinians Israel is trying to kick along with 28 families out of their decades long homes in Sheikh Al Jarrah , the last Palestinian block in Al Quds ( Jerusalem ), to complete the restriction of the area to Israeli Jews .. simply an Apartheid by settlers.
“ Your posts and tweets are treasures to us “
Here a rough translation of what she said:
“ It falls on us and Palestinians and the honorable people supporting us with posts and tweets. You have no idea how much that means to us. Everyone who shares even one short post or tweet. Don’t feel like you’re doing nothing. Those posts and tweets are treasures to us. Help us get our cause heard. We are 28 families. 500 individuals. If we are removed, then there will be no Palestinians in Al Quds. And in the end, Allah is our hope. And it falls on us. And we will remain here to our last breath defending our lands and homes”
Palestine's case is one of the rare ones where retweets, hashtags, reblogs, etc... are one of the most effective forms of support (besides boycotting and protesting) because donated money goes nowhere and petitions do not work in an apartheid state that seeks to eliminate its victims openly. We need the rest of the world watching and protesting and speaking out.

wow i wonder if that 300 year gap could be explained by any outside factors…….whoa! for some reason it lines up with the timeline of britain’s invasion and subsequent colonization of ireland! wild, huh? i wonder if the two are connected in some way? i guess the world will never know….
“why do the Irish hate the English so much? It couldn’t have been *that* bad!!”
This was in place till 1973.
Seeing non irish people reblogging this makes me happy
To the monster who shot the Asian women in Georgia to "remove them from causing temptation", here are my words for you.
Fuck You.
We do not exist to feed your fetishistic sex addiction. That's your fucking problem. If your Christian guilt weighs so heavily on you because you can't stop watching porn then maybe you need to talk to God more instead of killing innocent people. You fucking coward.
People are trying to frame this crime like he has a "sex addiction problem" and not a racist attack. The number of times I've been sexually harassed for being an Asian woman makes me laugh my ass off at this assessment.
Everything from being told they want to fuck me cause "I must have a tight pussy" to comments that I'd make a good "subservient wife" directly feeds into how these assholes see Asian women. This was not a "sex addict" having "a bad day". This was racially motivated because he bought into the stereotype that Asian women are sex objects for him to exploit.
And furthermore, to those assholes attacking Asian seniors in the streets? Here are my words for you too.
Fuck you.
You are targeting one of the most vulnerable part of our society. The sheer audacity to attack these elderly men and women in broad daylight shows how fucking emboldened they are in their hatred.
Because the fact is, racism against Asians isn't anything new. It doesn't make the news often but it's always been there. And with Covid and how Trump and his base has vilified the Asian community as scapegoats, is it any wonder the rise in harassment and violence has gone up?
The fact that the Captain in charge of the press briefings for the Atlanta shootings was characterizing the suspect as having "a bad day" while also posting on Facebook supporting Trump and advertising anti-Asian t-shirts is somehow not a surprise to me. After the Hellscape that has been 2016 - 2020, none of this shit surprises me.
I'm so fucking tired of leaving my house to run errands and worrying if I have covered my hair and eyes enough. I wear a mask, glasses, a baseball cap, and a hoodie. I look like I'm about to rob a bank.
But when I step into a store and see that I'm the only Asian person in the whole building, I'm not just worrying about getting Covid. I'm also worried if I'm gonna be the next person making the fucking news. My white husband doesn't have to worry about this shit when he runs errands and I shouldn't have to either.
I swear to God the next time someone tells me I have it easier cause Asians are "the good immigrants" or the "POC who have it easiest", I'm gonna scream. Just because one group of people have suffered differently does not devalue or undermine the pain of another group of people. Stop telling me our pain is somehow "lesser". We are all human and we all suffer so stop trying to make this into a pissing contest.
Because honestly, I've been told to "get back on my boat and go back to where I came from" plenty of times and that statement has come from people of all shapes and color. But surprise motherfuckers cause I came on a plane!!! 🖕🖕🖕
Please support your Asian neighbors and friends. Businesses have been decimated during the lockdowns but Asian businesses have to deal with the extra stigma of being blamed for Covid. Not to mention the thousands of Asian front line workers who are risking their lives to save people and racist patients are turning them away. I know first hand how much that hurts when as a medical professional, all you want to do is help people and they can't see past your physical appearance. It's demoralizing and dehumanizing.
And stop trying to frame racists attacks as something else. The sheer level of misogyny and victim blaming that is already being done by the suspect is compounding what is already a heinous crime.
Most of the victims were women of Asian descent. Authorities say it's too early to declare the attacks a hate crime – but advocates say ther
Stop Asian Hate. Just fucking stop it.
it’s been two years, but i think that an icon like her deserves to be known about by more people.
her name was freddie oversteegen and she, at the age of fourteen, along with her older sister truus who was 16 and their friend johanna “hannie” schaft who was 19, was a part of the netherlands most famous all female resistance cell which was dedicated to fighting the nazis and dutch traitors.
among other things, they are known to have blown up bridges and railroads, smuggled jewish children from concentration camps and, as the tweet mentions, seducing nazis and then shooting them with guns that they had hidden in their bike baskets. freddie is quoted as having said that they “had to do it.” and that it was a “necessary evil, killing those who betrayed good people.”
though freddie and her sister truus were both lucky and survived the war, hannie schaft wasn’t. at the age of 24, hannie was caught and around three weeks later was executed by nazis, only 18 days before the netherlands were eventually liberated. she was shot with one only wounding her, and, before the final shot, hannie is quoted as having told the executioners: ik schiet beter, which translates to “i shoot better.”
though she didn’t survive, hannie is recognized as a national icon and a face of the dutch resistance, with her story even being retold in a movie from 1981 called “the girl with the red hair.” along with this, truus also founded the national hannie schaft foundation in 1992, on which freddie served as a board member.
freddie, at the time of her death, was 92 years old and the last surviving member of the resistance cell, with truus having died two years earlier at the age of 92.
though these women and all that they did played an important part in the dutch resistance, they are often overlooked in history outside of the netherlands. it’s important that they are remembered and that their work to save people isn’t forgotten. it’s incredible what they did, especially given how young they were, and they deserve more recognition than what they’ve gotten.
“I shoot better” Holy shit an icon
This is THE most important vote
Things aren’t over quite yet: Both Georgia Senate races are headed to a January 2021 runoff that could decide Senate control.
This is where we are: Democrats (including the 2 independent senators Sanders and King) currently hold 48 seats. Republicans currently hold 50 seats.
If Democrats gain the 2 seats from the runoffs (Ossoff and Warnock) we will be able to TIE the Senate 50-50. In which case, Kamala Harris, the VP, will tie-break votes in favor of the Democrats, therefore giving us a “majority” in the Senate.
I cannot stress enough how important this is for Democrats. We need to get both Ossoff and Warnock in, otherwise Biden will have a very difficult time getting anything done in office over the next 4 years.
FOR GEORGIA VOTERS:
MARK YOUR CALENDARS. The federal runoff election date (aka for the Senate seats) is JANUARY 5, 2021! (State and local runoffs are held December 1, 2020!)
Request an absentee ballot by NOVEMBER 18, 2020. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE, EVEN IF YOU VOTED IN THE GENERAL ELECTION. For those who voted absentee in the General Election, you will NOT be automatically sent another absentee ballot for the runoff if you don’t make a separate request for one! Your prior absentee ballot request for the General Election does not apply to the runoff!
Register to vote for the runoff by DECEMBER 7, 2020.
Early voting for the runoff will begin on DECEMBER 14, 2020. (Please get your ballots in before the Jan. 5 deadline, and try to drop off your ballots instead of mailing them in when it gets very close. For info on in-person voting on election day, check here.)
Check your voting status, track your ballot, find polling locations, verify your mail-in application status, and more HERE.
Are you 17 years old but will be 18 by JANUARY 5, 2021? You are eligible to vote in the runoffs!
If you’re a college student coming from another state who is currently living on-campus or off-campus in Georgia, you can register to vote in the Georgia runoffs. (Go here, here and here for more info about this.)
Go here to find the contact info of your county’s board of registrar’s office. Contact them to discuss the voting options available to you!
Check the official Georgia website for more runoff election information.

So this post was originally made on September 11th 2020. I am reblogging on September 13th of the same year. At the time my computer first loaded this post it was at ten-thousand-one-hundred-and-eighty-two notes. By the time I’d scrolled down to it and chose to open it in a new tab so I could check when it was originally made, it had increased to 10,191 notes. When I noticed this as I was preparing to reblog, I reloaded the page and found that the number had reached 10,198.
What I’m sayig is that somewhere, someone’s mother is quite likely approaching the realization that they may actually be compelled to live up to their end of this little bargain.
I am now about to hit reblog, but before I do I’m reloading the page one last time. In the time it has taken me to type this, the number has reached 10,205.
were only 1/10 th of the way there but yeah, my mom is kinda scared now
Haha yeah we're getting you a dagger.
Guess what man ur gonna get that dang dagger even if it kills me (literally)
Tell your Mom that my Dad made me dagger once, just because he thought it would be nice if I had one that matched my formal dress. It had a rosewood handle with an amethyst set in it. The dagger, not the dress.
I 100% support the cause of Aquiring a Dagger.
