Casual Affair
Click. Click. Click,
Her walk was steady. Slow. Paced. As if she’d walked this empty hallway a dozen times and knew exactly where she was headed. One might mistake her as a woman on a mission, a woman with a plan, but she was neither of the sort. A black mask adorned her face, hiding her exasperated expression from the outside world and a secret kept only amongst herself. She had never been down this hallway. She’d never been in this building.
But when you are sent for, you arrive. Especially if you were sent for by him.
Click. Click. Click.
Her own footsteps scared her, every tap her stilettos made on the white tile made her heart skip a beat as it pounded like a freight train in her ears. She was shocked that no one had seemed to notice her yet, every gaze she passed acknowledged her for less than a second if not dismissing her completely. Like she was a ghost.
I guess that was indeed the plan.
When she reached his door, she was too scared to knock. Too scared to move.
Luckily enough for her, he never gave her the opportunity.
“Were you going to keep me waiting all night?”
She shook her head meekly, already overwhelmed by his powerful presence.
“I didn't intend on it” She all but stuttered.
Without response he leaned his broad frame against the large door, opening a space large enough for her to enter through. She entered quietly with her head bowed towards the red carpet that filled his dressing room. When she heard the door click shut her heart sped up to dangerous speeds, but her clammy hands were already gripping the bottom of her silver zipper.
He was pleased when she turned around and her hoodie was already opened, revealing the lacy black bralette that cupped and protected her chest. The long-sleeved sweater she wore had hidden the one tattoo that graced her brown skin; his name scrawled in script on the right side of her chest, written in a stark red that seemed to make it float above her skin.
As she let his sweater slip pool at her feet and went for the similar zipper that enclosed her jeans, he couldn’t help the smile that began to spread. He felt her apprehension as he began to approach, her breath audibly hitching in her throat at his stride.
“You don’t have to be nervous sweet pea. I won’t hurt you,”
His palms noted the slight shiver beneath her skin when he gently gripped her biceps and pulled her in closer; his smile turning into a grin as he dipped his lips to meet her ear.
“I’d never hurt you.”

Chrysanthemums and Daisies (Roman Reigns/Jey Uso X OC)
Chapter 7: Tyranny and Takedowns
Daisy's anxious feet bounced below her as she watched Reigns v. Owens II from the backstage monitor. She was yet to align any sort of plan in her head of when to run to the ring, or what she would do once she got out there. Regardless, she was ready. She was fully prepared to stand on the front line in the way of imminent danger if it meant redeeming her man. Consequences didn't matter to her, justice always did.
Just then, Daisy glanced at the clock on the wall and realized it was 9:54, only 6 minutes left in the show before it went off the air. She had to move quick, her time was now.
She considered coming down from the gorilla as she raced through the twisting corridors, but then she thought better of it and took an alternate route. The TV monitors where the live audience would sit were tall enough to hide her 5'3 frame until she made her move, all that was left was getting into the ring without detection.
Her eyes peeped around the corner of the Tron as Roman and Kevin continued to go out. When Kevin went down in the ring and Reigns moved to the corner to set up for his Superman Punch, Daisy saw her opening. At the last second Daisy glanced at Jey; his eyes had already spotted her, with a pleading look he shook his head 'no', a final effort to save her tail before she burned it.
At breakneck speed, Daisy hopped over the barricade and raced into the ring from Roman's blindspot, mounting his crouched body from behind and digging her nails into his eyes.
Roman had never seen the young girl coming, and he bellowed in pain as the sharp edges of her fingernails scratched and clawed at his face. Luckily his eyes were closed. The extra weight on his back and his inability to see kept him on all fours as he tried to relieve himself of whatever attacker had blindsided him. The screams and curses of a female voice only slightly resonated in his ears as he continued to thrash around until finally he hooked his hand under one small arm and slung his attacker over his head.
Daisy's cat-like abilities allowed her to roll through the fall and land back on her knees facing Roman. His eyes were red and filled with tears as he stared back at her in shock; he could barely see her face through the blurriness of his vision, but all he needed to see were her eyes.
"Are you insa-?!"
Owens cut the end of Reigns' sentence short with a swift kick to the back of the head, knocking the Samoan out cold. The referee had already called the match so there was no way he was leaving with the championship, but Daisy's plan had been carried out. Without a word or a glance to either men she rolled out of the ring onto her feet. Jey waited until she was up the ramp to assist his sleeping cousin; admittedly he was smiling on the inside knowing his girl cared for him this much. Still, it was a bittersweet; Daisy might as well be a witch in Salem after the stunt she pulled today.
"...but still your WWE Champion, Roman Reigns!!"
Daisy watched from the stage as the referee handed a now stirring Roman his championship, his music filling the arena. Even in his daze, he turned his head towards the stage with a sneer on his face.
And for the first time, Daisy though about consequences.

Chrysanthemums and Daisies (Roman Reigns X Jey Uso)
Chapter 6: Insults and Interference
“What?!”
Chrysanthemum turned to Daisy with an incredulous look on her face, following the insane demand she had just made.
“Don’t look at me like that. I want you to ban Jey from ringside for Roman’s match tonight.”
It sounded even crazier the second time she said it. Daisy was all too serious though, sitting with her arms folded on the arm of Chrysanthemum’s office couch. Surprisingly, this was the first time the two sisters had actually sat in her office and spoke since the night of Daisy’s debut; not to say they weren’t speaking outside of work, but when they were at work the duo was just plain distant.
“Why on Earth would you want me to do that Daisy?”
Daisy scoffed at her sister; sometimes her head could be just as empty as people perceived Daisy’s to be.
“Shall I write you a list your majesty? How ‘bout so it can be a fair fight for a change? What’s the point in having a rematch anyway if you’re just gonna let shit play out the same way each time. It’s boring.”
Chrysanthemum sneered at the sarcasm and spite in her younger sister’s voice, but she chalked it up to PMS and maintained her composure. She’d just finished hers and of course being sisters, well you understand.
“Daisy, let’s leave the big decisions to me okay? I love you to pieces but it’s really not your forte nor is it your business. I don’t tell you how to wrestle.”
“Because you can’t.”
Daisy quickly shrunk into her seat at the speed of Chrysanthemum’s nasty glare towards her, it was meant as only a small dig but obviously this wasn’t the forum, the tension already at a hundred. Meanwhile, Chrysanthemum once again gripped tightly to her calm sanity as she walked towards Daisy. After a deep breath she spoke to her sister again.
“Why are you in here making demands on Jey’s behalf anyways? I’m sure his mouth works perfectly fine.”
‘It sure does’
Daisy giggled quietly at her own thoughts.
“Come on sis, you know Jey is only doing this because his cousin forces him too. I mean what type of family threatens to throw you out of it because you won’t do his bidding? Your champion is an asshole, an evil one at that.”
Chrysanthemum sighed, wishing she was in a position to defend her champion. There wasn’t much she could say though; they both knew that the people they were in and outside of work were two things that would clash if they ever merged. It was a power thing, and of course only her and Roman would understand.
“Look Daisy, I bet Jey probably appreciates you sticking your neck out like this, but the answer is no. I make matches, not interfere in them.”
Daisy scoffed, an even bigger one this time, and rolled her eyes at her sister. As cute and kind as she was, she had a natural bratty side that simply came with being the younger sibling, and it always when she couldn’t get something she wanted, especially at the hands of her sister. No matter the situation it was always Chrysanthemum’s way or the freeway, and when she wasn’t on the winning side of that it irked her in more ways than she could imagine.
“You’re such a punk.”
Anticipating the strike that was most likely coming, Daisy stood up and moved out of arms reach as she said that. Chrysanthemum, though a ways past irritated now, didn’t hit her sister and instead plopped onto her couch with a groan. She knew the childish temper tantrum that was coming from years of experience, and tonight she simply would not feed into it.
“Whatever Daisy.”
Daisy’s blood was starting to boil a bit as her sister scrolled through her phone; she hated being dismissed more than she hated being told no, and when Chrysanthemum started this nonchalant bullshit with her it made Daisy want to tear her hair out.
“You and Vince McMahon, y’all protect him like he’s a boy. Next time you see him tell him I said to grow some balls between his legs if he wants to carry that championship.”
When Chrysanthemum still paid her no mind, Daisy’s fast mouth took it ten steps further before she even had a chance to think about it.
“You probably won’t though, they’ll be too busy in your mouth.”
She knew she’d succeeded in getting a reaction out of her sister when she dropped the phone from her hand, but when she saw the rage in Chrysanthemum’s stare as she stood up from the couch, Daisy knew she’d gone too far. If she was expecting a hit before, she could anticipate an ass beating now.
“Get out.”
Chrysanthemum was fuming, legit shaking, with rage as she got in her sister’s face. Her heels made her a couple inches taller than she already was over Daisy, and she could see the slight fear in her eyes.
“Look I’m sorry okay, I took that too far.”
Flames of anger still licked up Chrysanthemum’s blood stream even following Daisy’s apology.
“Get out Daisy.”
Her voice was calmer but still enraged, and Daisy saw there was no fixing this situation right now. A few salty tears pooled into her irises as she turned away from Chrysanthemum and walked out, gently closing the door behind her.
Chrysa fell back to the couch with her hand covering her forehead. The fears of her nightmares were already beginning to take root in her conscious reality, and it’d only been a few weeks. She wanted only to protect her sister from the subsequent crash and burn that her hasty actions often gifted her, but it was becoming apparent that Daisy was already beginning to resent that. Not only that; Chrysanthemum feared that this sudden uproar was not of Daisy’s own will, made obvious by the person she stormed in to defend.
Chrysanthemum could tell this was headed for a very messy direction,and usually the one to jump in front of the train to take the blow, this was the first time her position in the matter left her hands tied.
She’d just have to pray it’d blow over.
~~~~~~~~~
Daisy was still fuming following her earlier exchange with her sister, Jey had noted the fire in her eyes when she came to sit with him while he strapped up for his match. Of course, being akin to the “Head of The Table” didn’t secure you a locker room, or a maintenance closet for that matter. Instead the duo sat a few feet from the bathroom on a rolling crate, taking turns wrapping each other’s hands and lacing boots.
“Are you excited for your rematch with Liv babe?”
Jey assumed his words had fallen on deaf ears when Daisy didn’t reply, but upon a quick glance up from his fists he realized that she was staring intently at him.
“Daisy?”
It’d been a short four weeks, but even Jey could say he didn’t recognize the look in his girls eyes. He’d never seen her green eyes look so cold, and distant. What he didn’t know is that her infatuation with AJ Lee might’ve run a little deeper than attire and move set. The most advanced translator couldn’t transcript what was going on in Daisy’s head, for it was a whirlwind of emotion and angst.
“Babe?”
A dangerous sparkle was alight in Daisy’s eyes as she all of a sudden snapped awake from her trance.
“What if we interfere in your cousins match tonight? Like I can come out during the match and distract him somehow, and you kick his head off while he isn’t looking.”
Jey was floored. What scared him most was she was being serious, like deathly. She spoke with no hesitation, and stared into his eyes the entire time.
“Daisy...I appreciate that ma but I can’t have you inserting yourself in family business like that. It’s not safe.”
The rejection made her tongue thick with spite.
“Well it’s not like anyone else is doing anything about it. We have to take a stand baby.”
Daisy framed her man’s face in both her small hands, hoping the intimacy would be enough to convince him. She had already been told ‘no’ once tonight, she couldn’t accept hearing it a second time.
Jey sighed taking both her hands in his, both overwhelmed and frightened by the depths of his girl’s loyalty.
“Thank you for being a solider babe, but I made this bed and I gotta lie in it. You should focus on your match with Liv, don’t worry about me. I got this.”
Jey sealed his promise with a chaste kiss to her lips.
“I promise.”
Daisy sighed in defeat, she still hadn’t gotten her way but he had succeeded in soothing the savage beast, at least for now. A brief smile appeared on Daisy lips, but the moment was fleeting as she caught a glimpse of Roman rounding the corner.
“Let’s go.”
Roman didn’t break his stride as he passed the two, barely sparing his cousin a passing glance.
Jey and Daisy exchanged glances, the warmth of her palms still radiating on his cheeks as they fell from his face. Daisy was visibly upset again, but with his cousin already down the hall there wasn’t much Jey could do. He left her with a lingering kiss to the crown of her head before jogging down the hall to catch up with his cousin.
Daisy eyes bore flaming holes into the back of Roman’s head as the two continued down the hall. Right before they disappeared Roman glanced behind him; meeting the rage in Daisy’s features. The fierceness in her gaze shook him a little bit as was telling from his expression. Daisy smirked coyly as he turned his back to her and continued walking.
She’d just have to take him down herself.
Nina Simone at a press reception for her Philips Record Company, at Stanhope Place, Hyde Park, London on July 14, 1966.
Gorgeous 😍😍
Before it was normalized as “missionary position” the old name was “Venus observa” because you were face to face with your lover and that just makes me feel 🥺
Anyone who's wondering why tf was it changed to missionary, from the top of my head I'd say venus observa focuses on the woman while missionary puts the (religious) male in the focus.
Let's take a moment of silence for all the beautiful things and expressions that the fragile, bigoted male ego has robbed from the world.
Amen.
Can we please bring it back, tho?
I'm gonna use it from now on, just letting y'all know. It's beautiful.
I was actually just trying to figure out how to write it into my next chapter 🤣 who needs August Walker saying he prefers Venus Observa so he can watch your face?
This bitch right here.
Oh god damn, yesss!! August definitely loves watching your face while he's balls deep and grinding inside you🥺😰
It's Whore Hours, people!!
And who else would use old, scientific latin expressions?
👀👀
Sooo... I also looked it up, and one of the meanings of "venus" besides 'love' and 'lover' is actually 'sex'... "observa" not only means 'watching' but also 'respecting'...
I don't actually know where i wanted to go with this, so I'm just going to leave thid here. Make of it what you will :)
if you're black, reblog this
I’m mad so I’m gonna make a real hot take here: The reason y’all don’t like Daniel and worship Roman is solely because Daniel isn’t conventionally attractive. There I said it
Your hot take is ice cold. This is willfully ignorant and completely invalidates why fans enjoy Roman as a person/character. I love Roman, but I'm also fans of wrestlers that aren't considered "conventionally attractive", as well. And, even if people DO only like Roman because they think he's attractive, so what? The whole point of having so many wrestlers of varying characteristics, is so people can find what they enjoy and latch onto it. I don't understand why fans of Roman are the only one's vilified for it. It doesn't make them any less of a fan.
You don't have to like Roman, I don't really care. But this is just weird.
Looked through this Uni person’s tumblr and confirmed my thoughts.
Another one of those narrow-minded, bandwagon Dave Meltzer-loving Roman haters that we should not waste our breath on.
Daniel got one good Wrestlemania moment and y’all haven’t let this man rest since. Pack it up
Chrysanthemums and Daisies (Roman Reigns/Jey Uso X OC Fanfic)
A/N: So this is yet another random drabble idea I came up with while laying in bed reading fanfictions. I am still thirteen at heart. Hopefully I can stay consistent with this one, and this is the first chapter of many. Or at least a couple. Enjoy!
Chapter 1: Crowns and Cousins
Chrysanthemum was fuming as her Smackdown locker room filed into the large meeting space that was once the catering hall. A few superstars tried to greet her as they entered but she gave them a cold stare as a response. The large majority knew why too.
They had lost Survivor Series.
From an all out sweep from the Men’s team at the hands of Raw, to Asuka tapping out Sasha Banks in the middle of the ring; no one was oblivious to the reason why their GM was in the shittiest of moods. And in fact she was.
She had all but one person gathered in the space, but she wasn’t going to grant him the satisfaction of believing that nothing started without him.
“Now anyone else would start this conversation by saying that you all fought the good fight and we should be proud of our efforts, but I’m not one to bullshit so I’m going to be straight out with it. All of you were PITIFUL last night. Every single one of you went out there and showed your ass like Survivor Series isn’t the single most important show of the year when it comes to the brand. I-”
Before her tirade could fully begin, the slow bird with the proud tail finally strolled in. Roman Reigns and his busboy Paul Heyman. The nonchalant look on his face as he walked in brought Chrysanthemum’s blood to a boil, but she had something for his ass later.
“Forgive my client for his late appearance, he was on FaceTime with his wife.”
Paul’s chest nearly puffed out farther than his gut as he spoke, opening a metal chair for Roman to sit.
“Well thank you for joining us Roman. I’m glad you could pull Paul’s head out of your ass long enough to be here.”
A tiny bit of embarrassment filled the chest of the Tribal Chief at the gasps and low snickers of the other superstars. He didn’t show it too much though, instead giving the side of her cheek a mean glare as she continued to address the other superstars.
“I don’t know why y’all are laughing because the rest of you made Smackdown look just as pathetic on Sunday. Never in the twenty plus years of this brand have we lost every match except for one, are y’all not ashamed? Do you not feel like bitches?”
The room was silent. Very few could even look at her as she spoke.
“And then there’s you.”
Once again her glare turned to Roman, who’s eyes caught hers immediately as if he’d been waiting for her to speak to him.
“What? You think what you did on Sunday was cute? You thought it was smart? It was embarrassing. Drew Mcintyre would’ve had your whole ass if you weren’t so good at leading sheep.” She spat.
Her murderous gaze snapped in the direction of Jey Uso as she spoke, watching as his head fell in disappointment. Neither of them responded but you could tell Roman desperately wanted to, even as his ego burned with the stings of her verbal whipping.
“All of you need to get it the fuck together. I will not waste this MBA nor the seven years it took me to get it to look like an idiot at the hands of you people. Tighten the fuck up and make it quick, because if you think I’m not the type to fire you because we’re in a pandemic, you’re playing with the wrong bitch. Fix it.”
Chrysanthemum finished her tirade with a cold-blooded stare at all of the men and women sitting before her then turned on her heel and walked out, flipping her hair behind her as she went.
Meanwhile, in the far corner twiddling her thumbs between her legs was Daisy. She was a new superstar just coming up from NXT this week, so very little of what Chrysanthemum said to her actually applied to her. Nonetheless, she felt the shared sentiment that controlled the room after she left. Many of the superstars cursed her name and made dirty insults about her as they exited, and it made her stomach twist knowing she couldn’t say anything to defend her.
They were after all, sisters.
Not road sisters, but actual bloodline sisters. Separated only by the four year distance in age, and being the youngest meant she knew firsthand that this wasn’t just how her sister acted when she was angry, but it was her demeanor all the time. She was a hard ass. She had a mean tongue. But she knew her sister to know that nothing she ever did was without reason, and she was simply a product of the life that had been given to her.
If only she would let someone in to understand that.
Daisy’s thoughts were interrupted by Jey Uso sitting in the empty chair beside her. With her head bowed it looked like she was crying.
“Are you okay?”
Immediately, the first thing she fell in love with was his eyes. The softness in his brown irises complimented his gentle nature and touch, as if he was a flower himself. She returned his gaze with a small smile and nodded.
“Yeah I’m fine, thank you. That was just a lot to take in.”
“It was. I get enough barking and yelling from my cousin, I didn’t need it from my boss too.”
Jey looked to be more distraught then she was, and this hurt Daisy on the inside. It was starting to show that while he was beginning to accept being at his cousin’s demand, it was doing a major toll on him as a person. The confidence he once had alongside his brother was depleted a little more each day, and most times when you saw him if he wasn’t with Roman his gaze stayed fixated on the floor.
With a gentle hand she cupped the bottom side of his cheek and lifted his head so it was no longer hanging. The gesture shocked Jey, he didn’t know her well enough to know she was simply a touchy person who expressed love and care through physical affection, but to his own surprise he didn’t fight it.
He was beginning to recognize the softness in her green eyes as well.
“Hold your head up, there’s nothing down there for you.”
A smile spread across Jey’s face, meanwhile Daisy retracted her hand and ran it though her hair.
“Who are you?”
Daisy smiled feeling a small blush fill her cheeks at Jey’s bewildered yet captivated expression.
“I’m Daisy, except out there I’m Delilah Jay.”
“Jey… like me.”
Daisy giggled.
“Yeah I guess.”
Just then they both heard Roman’s voice bellow Jey’s name from down the hall, it was perfect -yet terribly imperfect- timing as it was Daisy’s time to go out for her match.
“Will I see you around?” Jey asked as they both made their way towards the door.
“You will. I won’t make myself that hard to find.”
They both grinned as they split at the doorway.
A/N: So I tried something new and put the link to the character pictures in their names. Don’t know how I feel about it yet but we going to see.
Don’t write off Chrysanthemum as your least favorite either, you see Daisy has got eyes on Jey, so y’all know who that leaves her fiery ass with. Just stick with me.
