yesterday, Mexican journalist Alicia Díaz González was found murdered in her home in Monterrey, NL, MX. she was beaten to death, sources say. it wasn’t a robbery, since nothing was missing. She was 52 years old and lived with her son (20) who found the body.

Díaz González wrote for El Financiero and Reforma, two of the most important newspapers in Mexico.

She’s now part of the statistics, as she became the fifth journalist murdered in Mexico just in 2018. Peña Nieto’s government is now the deadliest in the history of this country: 44 reporters have been murdered, either by cartels or public servants.
