the thing with taliesin and how he plays his characters is he regularly makes them say stupid shit in a way where they clearly think its suuuuuper wise and clever and like. i want to interpret that stuff as a deliberate showing of their hubris but over the years theres been more and more moments that had me like. hold on. does he actually think hes being profound right now??? but i cant think about it too hard bc i don't want to hate him 😭 I have to have faith

love watching c2 and whenever the nein don't know something, there's always a pattern that follows. first, they turn to the nerds (caleb and beau) and ask if they know it. then the nerds look at each other and wrack their heads to see if they do. if on the odd the chance they don't, the nerds make a trip to the nearest library and plan to barricade themselves in until they fill that gap in their knowledge. then they turn to the clerics (jester and cad) who then ask their gods. one talks to the wind and the other talks to a weasel. the guy talking to the wind is more successful at times. then they spend five more hours planning until fjord just decides to slam the red button. cinema.

it's being overlooked but as someone who has enjoyed taylor's character development over the course of the show, i really love how in this past episode she was able to welcome and have a genuinely fun time with belly's new friends compared to in season one where she was worried about being ditched. i think it shows how secure she feels in her relationships now, which is so lovely!

Were you disappointed that Taylor didn’t get an apology from Belly in Ep10? I’m glad that their friendship is okay and their moments in Paris were episode highlights, but it’s a shame we didn’t get to see their resolution. It just breaks my heart to think about Belly calling Taylor selfish, when Belly is the one who didn’t notice Taylor’s suffering all season, and Taylor is the one who kept putting aside all her pain to support Belly :(

Taylor is an exceptionally good friend and it’s so sad to see her taken for granted, both within the show and by the audience. Especially in the context of her struggling to let people in and feel worthy of love. Belly is maybe the only person that Taylor openly adores, and Belly doesn’t really reciprocate that energy.

Hi anon! One thing you have to know about me before I answer is that Taylor Jewel is My Girl. I’ve been her avid supporter and cheerleader all season long (and s1/s2) so of course I was disappointed she didn’t get an apology. I know it’s probably due to lack of time that a resolution wasn’t written/filmed, but I do think it was needed — at least a small mention that Belly apologized would’ve been enough for me.

I think Belly is a wonderful friend when she’s not so caught up in her own world (like Taylor said back in s1 Belly likes to think she’s the main character even though there’s always more than one story playing out), and with this season the stakes for Belly were higher than they’ve ever been, so I understand why she lashed out when she felt Taylor was betraying her, but it wasn’t justified at all. Another thing I’ve noticed about Belly is that she isn’t afraid to call out others’ insecurities and use them to twist the knife when she feels cornered, and like Taylor said, Belly knows her better than anyone, so she knew calling her selfish would hurt. But honestly I’d argue that Belly (or at least Belly in a relationship with Jeremiah) doesn’t know Taylor at all because selfish is so far from who Taylor Jewel is, especially in this season because like you said, she spent all season dealing with her own issues and heartbreak in silence with no support from anyone while planning out Belly’s wedding festivities (and doing it flawlessly, mind you). Something else I will say is that I do think Taylor is the kind of friend who wouldn’t need an apology, she’s emotionally intelligent enough to know that Belly didn’t mean it, and as much as it hurt her in the moment, I’m sure as soon as Belly spoke to her again Taylor was over the moon. Like that’s her girl. Also because of her abandonment issues she was probably just happy to have Belly back in her life regardless of if she apologized or not. BUT! I do think she did apologize, because Belly is very mature (when she’s not dating a manchild).

Long story short, Belly and Taylor are my girls and I love the messy and unconditional love they have for each other. They’re Laurel and Susannah 2.0, and I just have so much love for them. They’re the real love story of this show TO ME! So yes, I would have loved an apology, but I think them falling back into the familiarity of their friendship without one was cute too.
