I got so many compliments while I tried to work out how to not have people able to play xylophone with my ribs. It was infuriating.

Now I’m a bit overweight because menopause and it annoys me, but not nearly as much as being told I looked fantastic when I looked like a half-starved horse.

Our beauty standards currently reward excessive thinness, and we don’t get that it’s not healthy.
