Given Kakeru’s general abrasiveness it’s no shock that it takes Byleth quite a long time to reach his A+ support. In both his C-B supports he’s completely against the idea of them associating with him or thinking of him positively. In his C+ he even threatens violence if Byleth even thinks about forcing their way into his life. I’d say it’s after his A support and going into his A+ that he finally starts to open up and yknow, not be anything but an asshole to them.
