I’m TME and transmasc but am mistaken for a trans woman by transphobes all the time. And genuinely all it has ever done is made me double down on care and support and love and protection for my trans femme and trans women friends and community members. Because anyone who’s genuinely being mistaken for a trans woman and not lying to make a point is extremely aware of how dangerous life is for trans women.

Every time I see some dumbass saying “I’m not TME because people think I’m a trans woman so I do experience transmisogyny” I just KNOW they’re fucking lying.
