i am eternally disappointed in most discussion of angels in a more paranormal context, because its always lovenlight angel healing stuff and/or near death experiences with blonde white humans appearing but NEVER ppl talking about seeing flaming wheels covered in eyes and the like
this is because in the 5th century, Pseudo-Dionysus the Areopagite wrote a manuscript titled âThe Celestial Hierarchyâ, in which he detailed the order of heaven.
influenced by popular dualistic gnostic & zoroastrian thought, he sorted the supernatural beings of the Christian world into categories of purely good & purely evil. before this point, the nature of early Christian supernatural beings was supposed to simultaneously good & evil (thus their frightening appearances, thus existence of angels who tempt, thus a fickle God who wields fire that begins & ends).
the way angels appear in our myths, art, & psyches has been molded by those Ps. Dio influenced, to whom angels could now only manifest as beings of pure benediction. you can read plenty more online, Ps. Dioâs treatises are pretty readily available on sacred-texts.com.
âŠyou just answered a question that i was literally just thinking about asking but hadnt asked yetâŠspooky

middle schoolers complaining about how stressful school is
I do get more mentally tired, but I actually think higher education to a lot less stressful. Why? I chose to be there. The subjects seems meaningful and my classmates are more like minded. This means I am more motivated and less socially stressed.
chaotic neutral
student stereotypes
the "general step-mom": very organised, does things ASAP, constantly reminds you of the work you need to do, loves to say i told you so when your stupid ass keeps on postponing said homework until it's almost too late, also checks in to make sure that you managed on time. quote: "have you started on the homework yet?"
the "head-in-the-clouds genius": never knows what the fuck is going on, doesn't come to most classes, always has to get reminded about homework and deadlines (repeatedly for the same thing as well), always manages to pass all the exams with pretty high grades in the end. quote: "homework?????? what homework?????"
the "duty-bound procrastinator": knows exactly what the fuck is going on, does nothing about the things that need to be done, always finds something else to do instead, feels anxious for postponing all of it, does everything the last second and says it's never going to happen again (a lie). quote: "fuck, homework. i'll, uh, start right after i finish with this movie marathon."
words we have in swedish that the english language doesnât
âcan you make it here in time?â âi made it to the bus in timeâ.  âmake/made itâ in this context has the swedish correspondant âhinnaâ. examples: âhinner du till bussen i tid?â and âjag hann till bussen i tidâ. hinner/hinna/etc is only used when talking about doing something in relation to time.
âthe energy or motivation to do/not do somethingâ. the word is âorkaâ . in context: âjag orkar inte pluggaâ ( âi dont have the energy to studyâ / âiâm not able to studyâ )
the word for the exact perfect amount of something, not too much or too little. just enough. âlagomâ
in norwegian (bokmÄl) the equivalents would be
rekke (make it/hinna)
orke (have the energy to/orka)Â
passe (just enough/lagom)
in danish
nÄ, nÄr, nÄede
orke, orker, orkede
passe, passer, passede / tilpas / nok (tilpas is probably best)

donât touch people that donât want to be touched!!! people might not want to be touched due to abuse, people might not want to be touched due to sensory issues, and some people just donât like it. i donât care how weird or âsadâ it is that you canât touch them, just donât fucking do it. their comfort is more important than you poking them or hugging them.
