Woundmates huh?....Makes sense.....
Marriage:
If you want something to last forever, you treat it differently. You shield it and protect it. You never abuse it. You don’t expose it to the elements. You don’t make it common or ordinary. If it ever becomes tarnished, you lovingly polish it until it gleams like new. It becomes special because you have made it so, and it grows more beautiful and precious as time goes by
How to Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
How to stop comparing yourself to others:
1. Don’t listen to the voice inside your head that tells you that you are inadequate.
2. Don’t hang out with people who look for the flaws and can’t see the best in the people in their lives.
3. Recognise that each person is different and unique. There is no-one like you - and you have great attributes.
4. Take note of your efforts, and the progress you have made. You’ve already come far. You should celebrate that!
5. Appreciate others, and what you gain from them. Don’t see them as people who undermine you.
6. Remember that NO-ONE is perfect at all - and that other people struggle with the same stuff as well.
7. Go after what matters the most in this life: being loyal, and thoughtful, and caring, and kind.

i.e. why when you or someone else gets stabbed or impaled, you should leave the object in the wound until medical help arrives.
THIS. RIGHT HERE. This is an amazing example!!
If you take the thing out, they’re going to bleed a lot more.
SO. DONT.
News Flash from the Medical Help ™ — we don’t touch it either! Unless the object they’re impaled with is literally too big to fit in the ambulance, We. Don’t. Touch. The. Thing.
The only people qualified to Take-The-Thing-Out are surgeons. End of story.
Okay, but for the love of God, please, PLEASE, if you did, if you panicked and took the thing out…. DON’T…. PUT IT BACK IN.
Or else, congratulations, you just stabbed them AGAIN. I reeeeeally shouldn’t have to say this guys, but I do.
Congratulations,
YOU JUST STABBED THEM AGAIN
i feel like that last comment should be accompanied by a bill-wurtz-style jingle
I can hear it

I'm Seeing The Bigger Picture
Yo...I've been enlightened to see a brighter to homeownership yet again...First, I must thank God for this perspective, because I could of easily viewed this as a burden...But I refuse to let negativity take control...God has been gracious and merciful too me....So I began to picture this starter home as my first business..Why? Because technically it is!....Sitting with my wife as we do our baby registry movitvated me to begin itemizing the monthly expenses we would incur when we officially move into our starter home...And all I can notice is how to make sure our home..A.K.A "Our Company"..Stays "in the black" at the end of each month...This is the challenge! How can two first generation Americans from Caribbean immigrant families build a company with little to no support system...Having one person earning a decent salary (based on the cost of living in our area) and the other is a part time grad student and stay at home parent??? This is where my wife and I must use our minds; hearts; and souls to take on such a task; while keeping our faith strong; protecting our marriage from decay, ensuring that our love overflows to our first born, and our "company" staying "in the black"?...Let the Hunger Games begin!! Lmao..
This was in my queue 😔
“Don’t think about what can happen in a month. Don’t think about what can happen in a year. Just focus on the 24 hours in front of you and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be.”

My Queen....Please...Give me one more round...I have began the process of getting better cornermen...Discovering newer ways to train...Most importantly...I'm clear that anger doesn't get you anywhere...Heart....All heart....
She left me....And took my kids with her.....While I was not home...Didn't even say goodbye to them....She feared me that much....Little does she know....I feel safer without her here either...I just miss my children...
And here is the end...Is it?
I never tried to remedy my social/emotional/mental health issues in my 20s because I was so distracted...Who knew getting married, starting a family, owning a home, a pandemic, and pursuing an MSW would subdue me enough to stop putting my issues aside and face them...Pressure makes diamonds indeed.
Is apologizing on being a shitty husband a nice valentine's day card message? Because that's what I did 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I saw this coming..
If the both of y'all take a lot to maintain each other within y'all relationship because of your past traumatic experiences?? Make sure ya'll have a safety plan in place; just in case someone triggers the other unintentionally...That's love...
Wow...
My bros and my sistas....Please take heed to these words....TAKE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH SERIOUSLY!!..Before serious relationships...Before you take life on your own...Make sure you are mentally strong and stable...I understand that life may not set itself up for you to focus on your psychosocial and spiritual health...But a little pain now will save A LOT of pain later...
See..🥺
