saw those this-is blogs and felt inspired by @this-is-trans-joy @this-is-nonbinary-joy and many other ones! Go follow them! and wanted to do this blog! :) but first..

Transphobes, ppl who claim heterophobia, respect but not support, invalidate queer religious people, any form of hatred, racists, ableists, maga, trump fans, pro ai, anti-furry, anti-xenogenders, misogynistic ppl, intersexists, radqueers, ice supporters, are not allowed here. We don’t want to welcome you nor do we need to. Go in the trashcan. But otherwise this is a safe place for everyone! 💗

Who are the mods here?

Just me! Please call me mars/marz or Tori No weird stuff about me. I’m a minor! My pronouns are he/she/they or it/its! Any other pronouns is okay tho! And also have diagnosed autism and adhd.

I also speak 🇲🇽 but preferably keep them in English please!

What’s the schedule?

I don’t have a schedule! l’ll try my best to post whenever I can because I also run another side blog. But today is spring break! So l’ll answer quickly or slowly. It depends really so please be patient ♡

This blog is inspired by others such as @this-is , @this-is-solidarity , @this-is-ableism , @this-is-positive-masculinity , @this-is-classism , @this-is-anti-homeless and many many more.

I am hoping to keep this space focused on positivity, but with ideas for improving designs even when things submitted are inaccessible!

Asks and submissions are welcome, with or without a photo of what you're referring to if it's a physical thing, issue, or accommodation. I am personally anticipating that this blog will have a lot of photo examples as I plan to add them if there aren't any in the submissions.

I am still learning things myself (and I hope to always be learning!) so if something I post needs correction or more information, please add it and/or let me know! For example, I am doing my best to make sure that plain text and image descriptions are included in the posts. If any ID or PT that I add needs to be fixed please comment on the post!

About me: My pronouns are zie/zem/zir/zeir, I am a Queer, Autistic, dissociative system, with invisible physical disabilities, who is an Adult living in the United States.

Further context: Durham city council (Reform UK) cut funding and support for Pride. The Durham Miner's Association and other trade unions raised enough money for Durham Pride 2026 to go ahead - a direct call back to when Lesbian and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) raised money for mining communities when Margaret Thatcher seized union funding during the miner strikes of 1984-85.

At the 1985 Labour party meet, the motion to support LGBT rights as a party was passed due to a block vote from mining unions.

Stephen Guy, the chair of the Durham Miners’ Association, said that when it became apparent Durham Pride was under threat, he took it upon himself to “encourage the trade union movement to step up and do the right thing, and stand shoulder to shoulder with the LGBT+ community […] They not only raised funds for us, but came to our communities, uplifted our spirits when they were down, and showed their solidarity.”

I am a mother living with my children in a tent that no longer protects us…

Its walls are worn out, and the cold seeps through every night as if we have no shelter at all.

intersexcultureis

intersex culture is being so damn tired of the tag spam with the inevitable pride month posts that have nothing to do with intersexuality (and often actively exclude intersexuality despite adding the tag). we're already barely considered as it is, it just makes it feel like intersex is one more bingo square to fill out rather than something that refers to real people who are already constantly ignored and pushed out of queer spaces.

(and also that one fucking person who said that intersex people shouldn't count as queer because "it's not a sexuality or gender"?????)

perisex people if youre going to include us in your tag spam, please make an effort to include us as human beings too. we belong at pride, we belong in queer spaces. please make an effort to make us feel welcome and not a shadow. ive spent so long in the closet about being intersex and this year i am making it the focal point of my pride celebration. i dont want to be met with crickets, and im sure no one else in the community does as well. make the "i" in lgbtqia+ feel more welcome if you want to spread good this pride month. anon is right a lot of it feels incredibly perfomative and i hope we can fix that
