I found this photo online a while back and there was an email address associated with it. I wrote asking if I could have permission to post the photo and was sad to hear that the person in the foreground of the photo, Peter Katzenbach (1939 - 2021), has just recently passed away.

It so happens that his daughter is the accomplished climber/skier Kit DesLauriers who in fact was taught to ski by Peter.

This photo was most likely taken in 1955 on the Toll Road at Stowe, Vermont.
