It was meant to be a break. They’d not had any more pings about magic impacting the timeline, or worse. They’d not even had any pings about any other timeline messups- Sara had just decided they needed a break. Mick hadn’t been paying too much attention to where, or when, once he’d made sure they could head to a bar. 

He was on his way to one when he heard a commotion. It wasn’t exactly unusual for Mick to get involved in a fight, especially an unfair one, and a random bloodied chick lying on the ground versus a big gang of assholes? Well, if he didn’t get involved, Sara would probably be mad at him anyway. Being a Legend wasn’t really about saving the world, or keeping the timeline totally intact. It was about people, and making things better for everyone. It just so happened that keeping the timeline intact did that. Usually.

It didn’t matter what time period they were in, not anymore, as to whether he carried his gun around with him. It had become a permanent feature since he’d gotten it and rarely had anyone been able to convince him it wasn’t necessary- especially after the few times he had gone without, and it had quickly become clear it was. At least he wouldn’t feel so bad about roasting these assholes, and he could get a little bit of aggression out from being stuck on the ship with nothing interesting on TV for a while.

“You okay? Need some help?” He called over once the screaming had stopped and the fire had died down enough for his attention to waver.
