so Chapter 7 Side B is definitely gonna open with Noelle being dead.
I have no means to predict what The Other Side Of The Lake looks like. is it a dark world? is it a fucked up mirror dimension? is it an inky black void as it's depicted in the S Rank game? I have genuinely no means to guess. however, speaking of the S Rank game,
I think it's pretty easy to say now that the part where you and White Cloak walk to the right uninterrupted for several screens represents the walk across the lake. you can only get here after following White Cloak's directions and you can only follow White Cloak's directions after freezing the bird NPC. in the real game, this is analogous to casting Snowgrave on Berdly, following Noelle wherever she leads you (on the Weird Route she's the one who invites you to her house AND the one who pretty much tells you you're going to the festival with her), and travel rightwards into the lake with no further options. in the S Rank game the lake path is narrow with no deviations. in the real game, there is nothing you can do other than walk deeper into the lake. the only way out is to neglect to press Proceed and get booted into a secret Aborted Weird Route, which is its own can of worms.
the only question is, what happens in the S Rank game when you reach the other side of the lake? you arrive at the door to "hell", a place which I have my own theories about that need not bother us here. and you open this door by using up both the Ice Key... and White Cloak. the message "SHE WAS USED UP" appears and all. White Cloak disappears and is never seen again. in the real game, this pretty unambiguously translates to the dark reality that Noelle isn't actually going to make it to the other side of the lake. my prediction, since monsters in Deltarune turn to dust when they die, is that Chapter 7 Side B is going to open with Kris in a nebulous location next to a pile of Noelle's clothes. you won't even get the chance to mourn her death. you'll be lucky if you get more than one dialogue box worth of flavour text when you check her clothes. and then you'll have to move on to whatever the fuck is waiting for you after that. I have much less of a means to guess what this would be but, again, based on the S Rank game, it's likely that it somehow leads to the complete decimation of Hometown, as well as whatever event transports Sans and Papyrus into the Undertale universe (Sans Is From Deltarune is a separate theory that was all but confirmed in Chapter 5. I'm an ardent believer and I especially ardently believe it only happens on the Weird Route for reasons I'll talk about someplace else).
this is probably why Toby Fox insists as of Chapter 4 that it's called the Weird Route or Side B. Snowgrave Route implies that the Snowgrave spell is the major player in all this. and to a degree it is, since it's the catalyst for everything else to happen at all, but to call it the focus is to miss the point. especially since we're only gonna see the spell once, seeing as, under my interpretation, we've seen everything Noelle does in the Weird Route as of Chapter 5. this is the punchline to the sick twisted joke that is the Weird Route. you spend so much time with Noelle, making her stronger and watching her change, only for her to be entirely disposable. fitting with the theme established by the Weird Route so far, Noelle isn't a character but a means to an end. in the same way you metaphorically discard her character by changing her to the point of breaking the game's narrative in Chapter 2 and 4, you will physically discard her character in Chapter 7 Side B and move swiftly on to whatever the ending is. because that's what the Weird Route is about. getting a different ending. through any means necessary. even if you have to directly kill no fewer than two lightners to get there (let's be real. Berdly isn't waking up).
also, separately, we're destined to kill Susie and Ralsei in Chapter 7 Side B according to the S Rank game. we've seen the last of them as our allies on the Weird Route. my prediction is that they come back as an ultra hard boss fight made harder by the fact that Kris desperately tries to stop us from hurting them. just as another emotional punch in the kidneys. how does Susie get to the other side of the lake? my best guess is that Ralsei knows a shortcut. Ralsei knows everything. the sneaky bastard
