The National Institute for Archaeological Research (INRA) in Luxembourg has published a report on an amazing find: almost one and a half hundred gold coins were discovered during excavations in the north of the country near Holztum. Interestingly, they were minted under various rulers of the Roman Empire, who ruled in the second half of the IV century.
Scientists have paid special attention to three of them. It depicts Emperor Eugene, who led the Western Roman Empire for only two years— from 392 to 394.
Scientists note that the gold solides are in excellent condition. INRA experts estimate this treasure at 308,600 euros.

| With all the flying I do for my photography and videography, it was a bucket list item to finally fly in a hot air balloon. My friend Michael and I went ballooning in Bagan, Myanmar, and it was an exhilarating way to travel. Companies used to be allowed to fly closer to the pagodas, but tensions with the government prompted restrictions. Even from a distance, we were treated to incredible views of sacred pagodas surrounded by forests and farms. Follow @tobyharriman for more.
