Wendy kept looking around at the people that were there. Some were staring back at her, some were not. She jumped on the place she was sitting and let out a giggle of surprise. “Hey Abbie. How are you?” She said with a huge smile and then, realized that the girl had asked her the same thing. “I guess I’m good…I guess…I can try drinking today.” She nodded. “Something light for starters.”

Abigail smiled at Wendy. “I’m good. We need to see each other more. I basically just working for way too long.” She giggled. “Sure, I’ll make you a straberry cocktail.” She satrted making it and glanced at Wendy. “How’s your brother? Everything okay?”

It wasn’t the first time Wendy went out at a time like that. But it always felt inconvenient when she did. She had told Chris that she would go out that night and chewed on her lower lip, wishing he’d come to surprise her, on the other hand, she needed to do a lot of catching up with Abgail. She had missed her a lot and she didn’t know what to expect from her. High School was a long time ago and she was a really closed down person back then. Of course she had changed a lot as a person, and Abgail seemed like the pleasant person she always was. She let one of her sorority roomies to do her make up and they chose her outfit together, which was something that she’d never thought she’d ever feel nice about. After pulling her hair up on a bun and wearing her coat, she waved her ‘sisters’ goodbye and took a cab to the bar, Abgail was working in. Once she arrived, she took a deep breath, trying to hold her nervousness from all the people that seemed to be in that place, and stepped in. She kept looking around, until she found the other girl and jumped confidently on a stuhl by the bar, letting her purse on the counter. 

Abigail came to work on time. She like her job too much, and maybe that was the reason why she was delaying college so much. She was waiting an old friend to come to to the bar and she was extra happy. She separated the alcoholic drinks, the fruits and watched people coming into the bar.

At some point, someone sat at the bar and Abi came to her. “What you wanna...?” She paused as she saw Wendy. “Hey girly... How are you? Up for drinks today?”

So, I’m pretty sure my boss will give me a few drinks for free on my birthday. Who wants is invited.

Being 21 gives me a lot of privilieges, so I went out shopping and bought new clothes. I’m planning on hitting it off this year.

Any interrest in bars?

Work at night seems to make us even more tired, don’t you think?

Yeah... No thank you. I rather sleep, because my work makes me tired.

My actual question is… Did you drink a lot of coffee until you got used to the late night shifts? 

Oh, so much. I think I’m still a little addcited.

One of the other, for sure. But I ratehr the first.
