Levico, on the edge of the theraputic lake of the same name, offers more than just rest and recuperation. It's a great base with which to get out and explore the local area, being located close to the north of Lake Garda in the foothills of the Dolomites. There is also a good public bus to the nearby city of Trento (20km away), and if you want to explore on foot rather than on 4 wheels, Levico is well known for its many walking trails in the surrounding Dolomite mountains.
You will also be able to combine a stay on Lake Levico with one of Italy's other destinations - perhaps a cultural city like Verona or Venice, or a week on Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake.
Warm lake waters are ideal for lake swimming
Perfect for some rest and relaxation
Numerous rambling routes to explore, including to WW1 forts, or into the mountains
Theraputic and beauty treatments at the Imperial Grand Hotel
The number one holiday resort in Istria, this old town with narrow stone cobbled streets dates back to Roman times. As the sun sets, the town comes to life, whilst during the day the lure of the small surrounding coves will be hard to resist. There are numerous walks to try - the walk towards Zelena Laguna will reward you with some spectacular views. It's also possible to combine a stay in Poreč with another destination in Slovenia on a twin centre holiday.
Reasons to explore Istria and Poreč, Croatia
On the UNESCO World Heriatge list, Poreč's old town is a must-do
Crystal clear waters, ideal for lazy swimming and snorkelling
Beautiful walking along the 'lungomare' sea front paths
Country-hop over the waters to Venice
