You sent me three cynical messages like this. If that's your prerogative, go ahead. I can't stop you. However, the fact that you're asking for one more reason to keep fighting tells me you want another reason to keep fighting and you haven't actually surrendered to despair yet. Our enemies cannot stand our existence. They cannot stand actual virtue, actual kindness, actual compassion for fellow human beings. They think that everyone is like them - miserable, corrupt, and out for themselves; that other people are a resource to be exploited. And it pisses them off so much when we deny it and we continue to help each other and help ourselves. We SPITE them. If this world is as bad as you say and it intends to swallow us all... then I say make them choke on us. If only for spite, if only for one last middle finger - to kill us, but not defeat us. I shall continue to fight for a better world and to help save who I can, because it is the right thing to do. In the immortal words of Captain Picard:

He had committed no crime. He was not suspected of any crime. Police saw him, a Black kid wearing a ski mask, and decided to murder him for it WITH THE HELP of paramedics. He was a sweet kid who literally played his violin for kittens in a shelter in his free time and he died apologizing to his murderers for not being able to breathe.

During the 2020 George Floyd protests, the anger, the protesting, and the rioting was at least as much about him as it was about George Floyd in the Denver/Aurora area. Local violinists showed up to a protest to perform in memory of him and they were tear gassed for it.

One of the cops was recently acquitted and got to keep his job and walk away with $200,000 in back pay.

People who wear ski masks aren't the issue. Cops are. They will ALWAYS be the bigger threat.
