Me planning a deep, insightful speech for my next therapy session about everything thatâs been going on and how I feel:
Me in the session:
*looking around at the state of my life* I demand to speak to a manager
oh shit iâm the manager
Isolation on autopilot?
Oh damn, this is super interesting. Relatable, too. From the Coping book:
Elm, Sylivia Plath
facts, ladies & gentlemen
Trying to figure out what your biggest issue is that needs to be talked about during your therapy session:
Why should i, sexy tramuatized bitch that I am, have to go to work?
when ur in a really bad mood and one mildly inconvenient thing happens
âDonât use your mental illness as an excuseâ means âChange your behavior, apologize, and do better next time.âÂ
âDonât use your mental illness as an excuseâ DOES NOT mean âYour symptoms are your fault, your disorder is not even an explanation, and you are a bad person if you behave less than neurotypicalâ
itâs totally possible to have healthy, meaningful relationships no matter your diagnosis, but that means taking responsibility for your actions, finding diverse support systems, and doing the work when youâre stable to make sure you and everyone who cares about you will be okay in a crisis. donât perpetuate cycles of trauma. you have the power to build a healthier life and a healthier world.
me, talking about my trauma: haha yeah it was no big deal tho i donât really care itâs whatever honestly
somebody: validates my trauma and says i shouldnât have had to go through that
me, suddenly crying: huh. weird
