Who doesn't like hot water bottles?
During these winter months, or when you have your period (argh, I said it), there's nothing more cosy than snuggling up to something hot and rubbery. We have been using these inventions since the 16th Century, so why not keep this going.
In Japan there has been a recent surge in using hot water bottles as an ecologically friendly and thrifty way of keeping warm. So even better to have a recycled hot water bottle cover.
Here are some examples of one that I have made for gifts. These have gone down well, especially with this weather, burrrggh!
Recycled from old jumpers.
Made up from an old pair of PJ bottoms.
Recycled from my brother-in-laws childhood robe and an another old pair of PJ bottoms. He is now grown up so he has this also to keep instead of keeping the robe.
If anyone is interested in having one made from your old beloved items please contact me :

From a warm jumper to a snuggly hot water bottle cover. This made a great christmas present.
These can be made to order, all you need to do is choose your items to recycle, ideally two (but not essential).
For prices, delivery, order times and any other info please email -
What will this become?
Welcome to my world!
I am Scaifeytosh. I upcycle/recycle old garments instead of throwing them away. I make things for my self, I make gifts, and I also make bespoke requests. My request is that you supply the garments to recycle, thus saving it from landfill and you gain a new item. Each item comes with it’s own unique illustration.
I also accept donations of items that are no longer wanted, (for trimmings). Buttons are much appreciated.
The aim? Is to put life back in to the oldies hung in the cupboard, to save some pennies and to save our little world one stitch at a time!
