I do not believe that people have absols as service pokemon tbh. If my service pokemon was an absol, the absol would need a service pokemon to support it in seeing all the inevitable disasters in my future.

okay hi! i actually do have an absol as a service pokemon!

they're super good if you need one for anxiety/psychosis like i do since you can tell if whatever you're scared of or seeing or whatever is real or not. they're also super intelligent and are pretty easy to train into the role, and understand commands very well which just generally makes them good service pokemon. obviously they're not for everyone. if you're constantly getting into trouble or something then yeah, maybe an absol isn't the right choice, but they're great when trained properly

that's because chouchou is a service pokemon! he's trained to help my sibling manage their bipolar disorder and keep them from getting into bad situations when their mood is disregulated. he's an extremely good boy.
