July Update
LESS THAN 3 DAYS until I leave for Montana (August 11!) and then less than three months until I leave for Uganda!
Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support. This past month has been a testimony to God's faithfulness. I just finished my last class at UHCL before graduating. PRAISE GOD! I was able to have Emily, who served with me six months in Kenya, spend a weekend with me and it was a refreshing and encouraging time of reminiscing what God did in Kenya. We were even able to have a night of worship with other friends and it was a great night of sitting at the feet of Jesus and giving all honor and glory to Him!
This month has flown by and I cannot believe that I leave in three weeks! God has been so faithful to guide and provide for Uganda. Here are some testimonies to God's faithfulness:
God has provided an initial $2000 and $550 a month in support for Uganda! Thank you!
I have made all A's in my classes this semester and currently finishing my LAST CLASS at UHCL for my Bachelor's degree
My Professor happens to have a sister that is a missionary in Africa as a teacher that she visits and helps every year, so she showing me what she uses and how she teaches kids in Africa!
God has provided school supplies and materials for my classes in Uganda
God guided and provided for my plane ticket to Montana
This past month has been amazing! I have been able to see how God wonderfully works together all things and truthfully is going before me and setting my path straight.
Please keep praying! There are a few last minute things I need to take care of before going such as:
Cholera Medication ($300) which I will be scheduling this week
Phone unlocked so that I can use it in Uganda
International Medical Insurance
What to pack and bring
Visa for Uganda
I am still trusting God to provide the rest of my finances, I am budgeting for $700 a month for rent, transportation, insurance, and other living expenses. If you would like to help support me whether it's one time or monthly you can by going to
https://www.calvaryh.org/give/
and donating to Uganda Missions. Thank you so much for your support and love!
Prayer Requests:
God would continually guide and lead me where to go
I would finish my time here in Houston faithfully with my family, school, and work
God would give me discernment and wisdom
Humility and to truly love and esteem others higher than myself
My future classes and students would know Jesus and love Him
Protection against the enemy
Thank you so much! I am so blessed by y'all. God is SO SO FAITHFUL! I cannot believe how past time has flown and I cannot WAIT to see what He will do.
Maranatha!
Love, SavHannah
June Update/Questions Answered
God's faithfulness continues! In these past few weeks He has continued to fulfill His word in making my paths straight and meeting my needs. I am so blessed and encouraged by everyone's love and support. God has:
Allowed me to be sent by my church Calvary Chapel Houston! I am so unbelievably blessed that they would want to send me and cover me with prayer and support.
Provided me with a job that works around my school schedule and allows me to pay for my textbooks and bills this summer!
Pressed and provided the opportunity to serve with the High School youth at Calvary Houston! I am so excited to be praying for and loving on the High schoolers this summer. I've been feeling led to serve with the youth the past few months, so for God to allow this sweet time is an answer to prayers.
Allowed my mom and I to go to a Homeschooling conference this past weekend. I was able to buy things for the classroom, look at curriculums, and even get a few books! It was a wonderful day with my mom.
He is truly going before me. I have been so encouraged by everyones prayers and support. Thank you so much for praying for me!
Mom and me at the Homeschooling conference. We got to talk to so many parents and Teachers about curriculums they used. It was such a learning experience. I cannot wait to have my own classroom.

A: Through email! You can email me at [email protected]. This is a great way to ask any questions or for more information. I also have a Facebook that I will be posting pictures and updates through. Please feel free to add me!
Q: How can I support you?
A: My church Calvary Houston is allowing the immense blessing of helping handle my support! If you want to make a tax-deductible donation you can go to
https://www.calvaryh.org/give/
, click 'give online', either create an account or not, and then give to 'Uganda Missions'. I'm still trusting God for $700 a month while I am there to help cover transportation, rent, food, classroom supplies, international health insurance, and all other living expenses. Thank you so much! I've been so blessed by everyone feeling led to partner up with me in this way. You are helping me fulfill God's commission and I am so grateful.
Q: How can I help you prepare?
A: Prayer! There are still many unknowns and details to work out. Pray that God continually guides my steps and makes my path straight. He has been so faithful! Pray that the enemies attacks are defeated. Pray as I look into Christian counseling over the summer and how to counsel others in Uganda. Pray for my family and God's continual peace for them.
Thank you so much for your love and encouragement! Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to prepare.
Also, please contact me with any questions to may have.
Love,
SavHannah
May Update!
God is so faithful. Fifteen years ago I knew that God was calling me to be a Missionary. Thirteen years ago I knew that I wanted to go to Africa. For the past three years I have been able to serve in both Uganda and Kenya, every time it has been an answer to my prayers and the cry of my heart. Twice I have gotten to serve with Potter's Field Ministries in Kenya and it has been amazing to see all that God is doing in the hearts of the children and teens through this Ministry. I am so blessed to be a part of it! Potter's Field has invited me back to be the English Teacher for the school they have in Uganda. I will be teaching 3rd - 8th grade, with the possibility of also having K - 2nd, and then also teaching adults and Teachers English at night. It is so amazing to see how God answers prayers! I will be there for 1-2 years to start off, with the possibility of forever. The past two years I have been studying to be a Teacher and will graduate with my Bachelors this summer, all with the hope of using this in Africa. This has been my dream and desire for so long that to see God work it out feels unreal! God is so so sweet. I feel so seen by Him! I will be going to Montana in August for training, then from there to Uganda in October. Their next school year will start in January, so I will have a few months to adjust to the culture, move in, learn more of the language, and help out in the Potter's Field Ministry School. Thank you so much for going on this journey with me and Jesus! I appreciate everyone that has been praying and supporting me over the years. This is an answer to your prayers as well, I know that this would not be possible if not for everyone praying. I need your continual prayers! The needs are vast and above all I want to give these children Jesus. I need your prayers and support. Please be praying for:
My heart to be prepared and that God draws me so close to Him!
Wisdom, as I begin planning lessons, learning the language, and preparing for my classes
Guidance with visas, insurance, plane tickets, and also where I will be living.
Financially I am hoping to raise $700 a month or $8400 for the year in support to cover expenses.
