This building was a bit of an easy find for me. The lines and shapes were very obvious. Hotels are easy subjects since they all look the same.
Black and white made the shadows darker. As you can see I do have certain style and subjects I tend to shoot.

This was taken after a mgym session and I loved the different lines here. I pushed up the contrast, looking at it now I could have made the blacks darker too but oh well.
I cropped it just to see the rails and I liked the building at the background, I felt it gave the photo a story. I take a lot of photos of lines and shapes I think its good to add in something in the background or foreground to take away the surrealism of it. I also changed the perspective because the angle does not work.
The space in this photo works well. It ends up being the focal point of the photo yet there is so much happening around it.
This photo is taken in Glendale, California. I was waiting for my Uber.
When I first saw the building I wasn’t as phased, but you stare at the details and the you can see even though it looks the same. There are minute details, like the window open in one and we have the curtains blowing in the other.
This day was sunny so it was fun to play with exposure. I tried to push up the brightness to create stronger lines and shapes, since it was was good day I was able to capture enough details. I also brought up the sharpness to bring forth the texture. In this case it emphasize the shapes.
This photo was taken at the train Station in Walnut Creek, San Francisco. Originally I saw all the lines near and far. I chose not to keep it in color because it isn't effective. Where as the black and white has great contrast in the background and foreground. Together I feel they make a whole. However I think I could have actually cropped it better especially the bottom left. (*sigh* the perfectionist in me is not happy). I love taking photos that we see everyday and make it into something abstract. The lighting conditions were cloudy which, as we all know is the perfect condition. I just love all the different lines I was able to capture in this shot!
This photo was taken in San Diego, convention centre. I loved the shapes and shadows. I pulled in on the photo to have the focus at the vanishing point. I struggled with the color correction. The light was on the top right corner made it difficult to play with the brightness and contrast. However, I was able to select just the top right and play with the brightness there to try and give the picture an even look.
Ideally I was aiming for sharper lines and darker shadows, but working with a phone camera does come with disadvantages.
This photo was taken while I was shopping at Marshall’s and I noticed the lines and the patterns of the building. The buildings are great subjects just in regards to patterns and repetition.
So the end image next to it. As you can see it is cropped. I wanted my composition to be covered in lines, so the road and cars were cut out. I am currently going through an experimental black and white phase. Turning it into BW it makes the lines and patterns almost the same. I also really liked how there are lines going in different directions it makes our eyes follow the lines all over the picture.

Basically the idea I want to explore is the thought process behind every photo, how I see it visually as an end product, what I do, to get it to a desired look that I am happy to post and what I am feeling or going through. Its a creative diary.
My photos are taken through my Samsung S6Edge, or Fuji Camera. Its from my travels and every day life and anything I see that is interesting.
