95. The entrance to the common room lies at the highest floor. Students must correctly state a point on a world map where a picture is shown. If correct, the map will roll backwards, scoop up the student, and launch them high into the forest. There they will land on a bouncy pad and find the actual common room is a massive chain of tree houses.

94. Thunderbird, which represents spirit as well as adventure, houses some of Ilvermorny's most religious and/or spiritual students. Thunderbirds who are more secular or atheistic respect this totally, since they value emotional fulfillment over hard rationalism (the way a Horned Serpent would). So Thunderbird is probably the most happily ideologically diverse house.

92. One day, one thunderbird brings like, 20 packages of glowsticks into the common room. For the next week, glowsticks are hanging all around off the ceiling and the lights are off all the time because 'We have glowsticks so we don't need boring regular light!'

91. For Halloween, older Thunderbird students organize the test of bravery treasure hunt! You know, in the woods they have people scaring others out of there wits to make it to the end? Well this one has a twist! You have to collect all the clues to get the treasure at the end. If you don't, that's alright, you are either taken back or help scare/hand out clues for all the others.

Thunderbirds have magical thunderstix (those noisemakers from No-Maj supporting events) -- that when clapped together they create the sounds of actual rolling thunder -- for cheering on their house during events. If the whole house gets REALLY into it, it can create a (harmless) static in the air that raises the hairs on the rival house's necks.

The amount of jobs outside the wizarding world appeals to their curiously, they get to travel the world. Most students go up to 10th grade schooling, then take some time to decide on their future jobs

87. Because Thunderbirds love to travel the world they try to pick up various languages, so they like can half-ass speak seven languages and maybe one other foreign language fluently. When they talk to their old classmates their conversations aren't all in one language, but rather a mishmash of languages they all can speak.

85. Because Thunderbirds love exploration and adventure, new spells and potions can be expected to take place all over the common room. It's more popular among the 1st-5th years because their imagination grows to its peak. The most famous is the Hibernation jinx, which places the user into a deep sleep instantly for 8 hours, created in 2015. The most popular potion is unnamed, but cures even the worst acne/scars/skin problems for up to 6 months. They prefer them as secrets, but will share to others.

81. There's a map of the school grounds in a hidden room, that constantly gets updated by Thunderbird students. The room also has instructions on how to update the map, smaller maps of other magical schools, a world map that updates itself, a library with books that could rival Hogwarts Restricted section, and chests full of things, both useful and not. Nothing is know about the creator/s of the map or the original stoker/s of the room. There is also a vow of secrecy about the room's location.

80. Floating all around the main common room are floating hammocks called "nests". Pillows are littered beneath them for easy nap access. The ceiling mimics the current weather pattern, but it isn't a suprise when it goes thunderous. When lightning strikes on the ceiling it will echo across the walls until it hits the floor. Dozens of animals, including mini thunderbirds, roam the floor to give a feel of wilderness and companionship if they feel lonely, and there's a portkey leading to the main hall
