SPS Stitchalong '23

It is July, and despite the varied nonsense Prism and Fry are drowning in, Prism blacked out in a fit of insomniac creation. Thus, back by popular demand, the SPS Summer Stitchalong ... uh ... finds a way.

Here is our official color palette for this year (DMC 826, 824, 833 or E3852). Grid is once again 40 x 30. We will not try to gently troll like last year. This is straightforward stitches. Two colors (one light/one dark) of your choice and a "gold". You are welcome to challenge yourself with a metallic, but any gold shade is fine. We do believe the metallic will improve the intended effect.

Our first pattern post is WEDNESDAY the 5th! See you then!

The writing is in Japanese. Not sure what it says, but going by the rest of this, it can’t be accurate.

The top one is katakana, the Japanese alphabet traditionally used to spell out foreign words. It’s just spelling out “English French Toast”.

The bottom one I can’t parse because I don’t know the kanji, but it says Germany-something. Which is not promising.
