"You made a deal with him?" said Bruce, barely not yelling at Tony. He was pointing at the screen at the front of the conference room, where General Thaddeus Ross was speaking live with a reporter at the steps of the very building they were meeting him in.

Bruce opened the bag – and something small and furry clambered into his lap. Tiny claws dug into his thighs as it blinked up at the bright lab lights with eyes as blue as ice. Bruce stared at it in disbelief. ‘Thor, this is a kitten.’ ‘It is,’ Thor agreed.

Thor gives Bruce a kitten to keep him company whilst he's away at Asgard. But he didn't tell Bruce just how big Asgardian cats can grow...

Bruce found himself dozing as Thor’s thumb gently stroked the back of his neck. There were worse ways to spend Halloween. The doorbell woke him up. Everyone looked at each other. ‘Who could that be?’ asked Steve, eyes narrowed. Tony snorted. ‘Ever heard of trick-or-treaters, Cap? Not everyone’s out to kill us.’

The Avengers spend Halloween at Thor and Bruce's cottage. Trick-or-treaters come to visit, and some of their costumes are very familiar...
