Nozomi: But enough about that story.* Let’s talk about the Bow Hall “New Wave! –Flower-“ Everyone was bursting with energy from the beginning! It was around this time when you started to stand out. What do you think?
Serika: …It was fun!
Nozomi: That was a weak response…
Serika: That was a weak topic…
Nozomi: Liar!
Serika: “One can speak a lifetime’s worth of lies and never utter a word of truth.”* The longer we talk the worse I get, don’t I?
Nozomi: True. Cuz you’re getting tired! (lol)
Serika: Haha, I always have this “I wanna go home—“ look written all over my face [at the end of the day].
Nozomi: And I’m always telling you, “I get it! Go home already.”
Serika: (laughs)
Nozomi: Because our changing spots were next to each other in “New Wave! –Flower-“ we were always chatting nonstop.
Serika: We were always out of breath by the time we got off the stage.
Nozomi: What did we talk about [back then]?
Serika: I have no clue (haha).
Nozomi: And next up is “Last Tycoon” where you played my character Bronson Smith in the Shinjinkouen.**
Serika: Is that so?
Nozomi: You’re laughing.
Serika: Ah no, it’s just when it comes to stuff like that I…
Nozomi: And yet, this very same Kiki who has the gall to casually call me “Fuuto-chan, Fuuto-chan…” will suddenly turn humble as soon as a shinjinkouen casting is released. She’ll say things like (whisper) “Please excuse me…” as if it’s her first time [landing a role].
Serika: It’s because it’s a shinjinkouen I’m polite…
Nozomi: That’s funny (laughs)
Serika: I’m hopeless, really.
Nozomi: (laughs)
Serika: The thing is, being up next to sing right in the middle of the show is like having singing lessons right after you, Nozomi-san.*** That was the kind of pressure I felt when I had the Shinjinkouen role. It was an “OMG…!!” kind of feeling.
Nozomi: I see.
Serika: It was my last Shinjinkouen so I learned a lot.
Nozomi: Very touching but…that’s all you have to say?
Serika: Eeh!? (laughs) I followed everything you did very closely, from the way you sing to how you created your role. You always struck me as someone who can do everything perfectly from the beginning. It’s like you’re ready to perform the moment you read the script. You’re always so sure of yourself. There.
Nozomi: Oh Kiki, it’s nothing like that. Even now I just get caught up in the moment and a lot of things are going through my head. If it, for whatever reason, looks good it’s because I put a lot of energy into it. Similarly, I get a lot of motivation from you too. I too worked hard to transform myself into the person I am now.
