Father's Day. My father transplanted this lady slipper over 40 years ago over my tween protestations that it was illegal to do so. Ever since, they have spread rampantly on our patch of lakeside heaven, appearing year after year. The white chair is the favorite dock chair. Robert Capa landed on Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944. He was the only civilian photographer who risked his life to document the Allied invasion. Capa took 106 photos that day. All but 11 were destroyed in a processing accident.
