Hello! I just want to start out by saying that I adore pretty much all of your cosplays. I mean, wow! 😍 Anyway, I'm working on my first cosplay that requires a wig and well... I really don't know where to look. I'm scared of ordering something and having it end up being too thin or patchy. (I've had way too many friends suffer from that problem.) Is there anywhere you would recommend looking? Or maybe a way to counter these problems? Thanks, and all my love! 💕

Thank you for your extremely kind words :) I usually buy my wigs from Aliexpress and eBay, and in both cases there are of course risks of the wig being quite different from the given photographs. I have had pretty good luck though, and often the wigs are even too thick.
Suppliers like Arda wigs and Coscraft are reliable sources for wigs for cosplay purposes, but they can get very pricey very fast. I don’t know where you live but both of these do international shipping and have amazing customer service, I’ve heard.
Tips for when you buy wigs from places like eBay and Aliexpress:
1. check the feedback of the seller - if they have good feedback, the general vibe is that they sell what they claim to sell
2. it’s better to buy wigs from sellers who only sell wigs or who sell wigs and cosplay stuff - i.e. they are specialised and know what cosplayers are looking for.
