They eat souls because the afterlife is in their head they have to eat the souls to make their essences become one with their own soul or what's left of it

I was experiencing art block this was a good exercise lol I love soul he's genuinely adorable don't worry Justice is okay plus they tasted tasty this Justice is spending time with the other justices before they get rejected by the afterlife all together with the revival glitch after all Higanbana is never experienced a rejection before so that'll be an experience

I can draw so better now that I'm not art blocked isn't that something anyways I really love the design I added little hearts to the quilted blanket so yeah try to keep it as close to reference as possible while adding little details and creative liberties like the heart patches but yeah hope you enjoy 👍

Yes it is problem, thanks soul is like my favorite I love em I tried to add every detail I could find on the reference art and adding a little spin of my own which was the little soul stitches

The brain rot is real anyways introducing higanbana the caretaker of the afterlife and guardian of it they are the godling of eternity they protect those who enter their domain their domain is omniversal they were originally an afterdeath shipchild named termination afterdeath or just called by their middle name Perse, but in this universe they don't have any contact with their family they died before they could meet them, creating this character now properly introducing Higanbana the personification of the afterlife and godling of eternity.

Their powers sort of border on reality warping because the afterlife exists in their head they have a reality that exists in their head that they can manipulate whenever they want it doesn't work if they're conscious they're a bit of a maladaptive daydreamer they exist in the world in their head and in the real world all at once it can be very disorienting, they also have the ability to make and manipulate liquid determination, they're eyelights are purple and red so determination and perseverance! The things they love manipulating to like make with their determination which is their main weapon when an actual fights in the real world and not their Little slice of heaven is their determination they love making fists strings and ribbons, scythes, knives and their all-time favorite is because their body is completely made of determination they love shaping their arms like guns their favorite guns are miniguns, pistols and snipers they also like bows too

I like to imagine that they have Darwin's voice from amazing world of gumball like they look super deadpan and jaded but they have this super cute voice

It's more sketchy but you can see the top of the outfit better without the scarf and a little bit of how their Determhands work!
