Don’t look at things you know will make you angry. Don’t read the comment sections. Don’t look at the blogs of people who add dumb comments to posts to confirm that they’re dumb all the time. Don’t read old conversations you had with people you don’t talk to anymore. Go look at pictures of kittens or something instead. Protect yourself from negativity in every way you can.

one of the hardest things to learn as a depressed former Gifted Kid™ is that half-assed is better than nothing. take the 50%, 40%, even 20% job. scrubbing your face is better than not taking a shower at all. picking up your clothes is better than never cleaning. nibbling on some bread is better than starving.

DO THINGS HALFWAY. NOW YOU’RE 100% BETTER OFF THAN YOU WERE BEFORE.

One of my college professors used to say “anything worth doing is worth doing poorly.”  I didn’t understand that for years because I didn’t do anything poorly, I couldn’t do anything poorly, I had to Do Everything Perfectly.

But brushing your teeth for 30 seconds is better than not brushing them at all when that 2 minutes seems exhausting.  Doing ten minutes of yoga is better than 10 minutes of sitting when 30 minutes of cardio sounds impossible.  Changing my clothes is good when a whole shower is impossible.  Standing on the porch for a few minutes is worth it after being in the house for three straight days because I don’t have the energy to go anywhere.

Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly… because doing it poorly is better than not doing it.

SO CALL ME CRAZY BUT

after watching the latest episodes of SU I’m sticking with the theory of Rose Quartz being pink diamond. 

Think about it: Steven possibly has memories of being pink diamond (and lowkey mentions he’s had those dreams before) and if Rose had the power to transform into a human (which now that I think about seems wild for a simple quartz soldier to do) whose to say she couldn’t transform from a diamond into a quartz? It would explain why the diamonds took her rebellion seriously and fought her so much, I really don’t see how they would have to fight a quartz that hard. I think Yellow might have had something to do with her being shattered (just based on her being generally annoyed with Pink) and maybe Pearl was involved in some way where she had to pretend to shatter/help shatter Pink Diamond- which was staged and was actually just Pink Diamond transforming into Rose Quartz, which could be twisted to look like she was shattered and explain why Blue and everyone else bubbled all the Rose Quartz soldiers but somehow missed Rose herself. I’m probably wrong but like I’m determined to keep this theory man
