I know a lot of you people don’t mean harm by using the tag, but the way you are tagging, you are actually not helping at all, which is unfortunate. 

Please spread the word. EDIT: I wasn’t aware of how shitty tumblr’s tag system right now works, thankfully @fuckepilepsy mentioned that by simply having “epilepsy” within your tag will throw your gif images into the epilepsy tag. I know it’s possible to filter by the actual tag name and not have them show up, but the standard option on tumblr generally seems to be to show everything containing epilepsy!

Why the fuck do Doctors get paid Ash Cash?

Why the fuck do doctors get paid £73.50 to verify someone’s death just because filling in the paperwork for the crematorium isn’t in their job description!!!! So called ash cash is a bonus doctors get when they pronounce someone as dead for a crematorium! I work as a healthcare assistant and I’ve held the hand of several people as they die and the doctors are rarely there for this and then they show up, show sympathy and leave but apparently they’re glad this person has died because they get money for it! One doctor had 10 people die while he was on shift and he got £1050!! No one should get a “bonus” for the death of a person! It is immoral, wrong and completely disrespectful. I know there are loads of forms associated with health care but you should not be paid for filling them out and defiantly not to get paid for someone dying!

Either you’ve never had a job or you’re just lazy af. There’s nothing wrong with 9 to 5 jobs. Nobody is forcing people to work them and people need the hours to make more money. People get breaks too.

1. the eight-hour work-day is cruelty

2. capitalism is forcing people to work. i could just quit my job and hang out at home - but then i would lose my house and most likely starve to death, because of the way our economy works.

3. breaks for most establishments are a mere 30 minutes for an 8-hour shift; at my first job, for a 6-hour shift, your break would only be 15 minutes and any longer shift would only get 30. studies say people are more productive if for every hour you work, you get a 15-minute break - meaning, for an 8-hour shift, you’d need an hour-long break, and so on and so forth.

the way modern society views work is unhealthy for loads of reasons, not just what i mentioned here. the fact that we’re preparing children for such a torturous lifestyle is horrific.

Also like…. small children are not adults. Small children should not be held to the same standards as adults. Even if the 8 hour work day WAS healthy, it would be inhumane to hold a small child to the same standard.

The school system was literally designed to train people for factory work back when child labour was legal so that should tell you how fucked that is

Try being a healthcare worker and work 8-8 weekdays, weekends and nights. You get an hour break at night or 2x15 mins and 1x30 mins during the day. You’ll begin to miss the school day and normal working hours. The odd thing is I wouldn’t trade it in for the world

Edit- I work in England and I know this post originated in America so it might be culturally different, but our schools manipulate us into “good workers” the same way yet don’t actually prepare you for adult life. I’m only 19 and actually find it difficult being in the workplace so young, as I’m still in “school mode” of don’t speak unless required to do so and to do exactly as you’re told which isn’t aslways the right thing so actually doing the right thing goes against all I was taught and feels wrong.
