|| I waaaaaaas going to do a couple replies over here then I realized I should sleep. welp that’s a thing. I hoPE to do them tomorrow but my Akaashi is so active mmm such cute things anyway sleep tiem ||
|| I’m still going to be fairly inactive here because aaahh my love for the haikyuu characters has stolen most of my attention plus I get a lot of attention over there. Though, feel free to like this if you’d like a little Gokotai to either invade your inbox or for a starter! ||

Confusion lit up his features for a brief moment as he watches the tantou run up to him, a palpable excitement evident even before he locks eyes with the other blade. It was rare for others to actually approach him with an intent of making idle chatter. He was sure he made it clear he disliked conversations that had no point.
(However, clearly the timid tantou was in a jolly mood. He shouldn’t ruin it intentionally with a cold reply.)
❛…It’s better than doing nothing like some others.❜ The blade replies in a simple tone, albeit a little lukewarm.
❛If you are finished with your own chores, I will not mind help in carrying these vegetables.❜ He continues, offering one of the many bags he held in his hands. He had just finishing harvesting, and while he hardly felt fatigued enough to need help in carrying things, the other had asked for something to do.
❛You are free to decline if you don’t feel like doing it.❜
“I’ll help you carry them!” Taking the offered bag, he looked up expectantly at Hasebe. Gokotai wasn’t certain how the uchigatana would’ve reacted initially. Though, he was happy with the outcome. Getting to help some more always made the tantou feel better about the fact he wasn’t as strong as the others. “So, where are we taking them?” It was a simple task to accomplish yet it still helped just as much as fighting and going on expeditions.

@senyono
“Hasebe-san!” The small tantou ran up to the taller being. Excitement evident in his eyes as his eyes were turned upward to look into the other’s. “I got to help out a lot today. Isn’t that wonderful?” Helping whether it was with chores or not, always made him quite excited. He had been in need of repairs prior to his chores but since they didn’t take long, he felt refreshed enough to go about doing chores. “Oh, do you need any help right now?”

Lazily sketching, pencil moving much slower than when he was usually drawing. Gokotai’s eyes seemed to be lazily gliding along the paper, hardly paying attention as to what he was making. Moments pass and then he realizes that he’s drawn his saniwa.
“I’m surprised...” His voice soft, as he stared at the picture he had drawn. Rough in most ways but gentle as his hand was usually. “It actually looks like her even though I can’t normally draw any humans. Or the other swords for that matter.” Comfortably sitting by the pond, he didn’t much care to check if someone were to find him as he was a little tired. Sleep edging at his eyes and already trying to settle in his limbs.
@kaminotsumahajiki
Usually, he was a little more secretive of his hobby of drawing. Though, today, he was especially proud of the piece of art he had produced. It was all brought forth from dreams and fueled through the pencil that he moved ever so delicately with his small fingers. Holding the paper ever so softly, his excitement mostly seen in his face.
“Aruji-sama!” Having run up to him, he attempted to gather his attention to show off his drawing. A rather sketchy image of a large tiger laying in a field of flowers as far as the eye could make out on the page. The sky clearly drawn with soft clouds and the sun’s rays visible only in the way the pencil had been spread across the page. “Look, please, at this drawing I made!”
|| I just realized I should’ve probaaably used a gokotai icon rather than one of my ocs that fit my face so well on the previous post oops ||

Welcome back, Gokotai-kun <3
花 — “Hn.” The sound of acknowledgment slipped passed his lips as he began cleaning the wound. The anatomy of swords was still much of a mystery to him. Uses of the uchiko ball and choji oil on their bodies was a strange practice; though he supposed he could consider them a substitute for peroxide or alcohol and antibiotics humans would typically use.
Wrapping the injured leg back up once more, Jin gave it a secure tug as he finished tying the knot. It would not be too long before the wound would heal completely; such were the regenerative abilities of the toudanshi. If humans were able to harness such powers, he could imagine the broadening advances in medicine. But, that was a thought left for another day.
“Gokotai, we are finished here. If you wish to continue sleeping until supper, I suggest you return to your quarters.” Certainly the warmth and comfort of one’s futon would be much more appealing than the sage’s lap. Besides, Jin had other work to attend to for today.
Hardly noticing him tend to the wound, he reached up to rub at his eye. Sleepiness clinging desperately to him. “I can’t sleep on your lap?” It was a safe feeling. Being in someone’s lap. Though, being allowed to cuddle someone with a body like his made him feel wonderful. The tigers were nice for that but he still preferred another being.
“I can get up if you want me to...” A slight pout to his voice, mostly due to the fact he really did not wish to leave the comfortable place he had settled. His wound already losing most of its pain within such little time.

A soft smile graced her presence, the tilt of her head to the right only further made her cheerful self shone more than usual. Excitement that came from the thirst of knowing someone else’s thoughts and aspiration was something that she longs for everyday. Learning never has a stop, just like what her teachers back in elementary school had always been telling her. Though, her smile did fade a bit when Gokotai mentioned about her nihontou ever to go away.
“I will try my best to not let anyone go away,” she answered with a thinner smile, “And if they really would have to go away, then I wouldn’t make it easy because I love each and everyone of you. I treasure you as both sword and now, a human.”
Such naivety. She could almost hear her cousin telling her this in his own mocking tone she knew only.. recently. Her brows knitted to a frown at the memories, but her lips had failed in spilling out her thoughts with the other. When she saw the other jumped off the fence and glanced towards inside the pen, a questioning look was present in her eyes. Was there something that he was looking right now?
“Ah–o-okay.. I’ll probably return to my room after I finished taking care of the horses here then,” she answered, nearly shouting when the tantou already sprinted outside.
It seemed strange, likely, to any of the others who saw him frantically running around to see them. It looked somewhat like he was searching. Searching for something lost. They’re here. They’re safe. I’m okay. This is okay. Chanting it over and over in his head. He refused to let the memories blur his vision for even a moment.
While he had refused to let that happen, he came to where the old room was. Where he had been stuck. It didn’t matter that it was a different citadel. He could still feel that it was around that area on those grounds. Even though he was on different grounds, the dreadful feeling ever present. Instead, his feet moved to where she said she would be.
Ah, why am I in aruji-sama’s room again? Though, this isn’t like his... The thought trailing off as he realized she said she would likely return to this place after she finished. I... I’ll wait and apologize for running off. That’s what I’ll do! A quick nod of confidence as he settled himself on the floor. Neatly sitting as best he could.
Letting his eyes close, taking in her presence within the room. It still felt comfortable even though he wasn’t usually in there. It’s as if she’s still in here. As if... His thoughts trailing to a close. Forgetting, for a moment, of his frightening memories.

The nightmare seemed to be quite.. intense, if she had to put it in words. The worry, instead of decreasing, only escalated further when the spirit was still not answering her call. Tsubaki sighed softly as she continued caressing and gently patting his cheek to wake him up, all while still calling his name and wiping his tears off.
“… ?!” Surprised, the saniwa was even more surprised when Gokotai suddenly jumped from the tatami she laid him on earlier and made a run towards the exit, “Ah–wait!” she called. She nearly scrambled on her feet and made herself tripped on the tips of her own kimono in attempt to chase the tantou, searching and wondering where he could have gone to.
“Gokotai, where are you?”
After his initial adrenaline wore off, he was already in the pen. Half trying to catch his breath, half trying to hold it in. He stared where the hole would be. It’s not there. Having practically jumped over the fence in his panic, somehow not startling Shiroge. It isn’t there. Aruji-sama didn’t do that.
Hearing her voice, he blinked away the tears that had seemed to fade away once he started he running a moment ago. His mouth slightly agape, he continued to stare at the spot the hole would’ve been. This isn’t that place. I’m safe here. Everyone is safe here. His body stilling as he caught his breath, after falling into a sitting position. Tears blurring his vision once more.

She was in no place to be asking such question right now, she knew. Biting her bottom lip slightly as she breathed in a gasp of the cool, night air, her arm which was wrapping around the smaller figure of her tantou tightened slightly–making sure that she didn’t accidentally squeeze him in her attempt to hold in her pain. Her head lifted up a little in response, for her neck felt too stiff to turn around and see the expression on his face.
“… Thank you…” she whispered quietly, weakly hiding herself in the dark of the night that shadowed her eyes from showing the real pain behind her dark amber optics. Gasp. And there was another as she continued trying to drag her feet to walk into her room; though it only felt as if she was moving boneless muscles from beneath her waist. No. She couldn’t be weak here, not now when the mission from the government she’s working in at the moment was still going. Responsibility, she has been taught of it since she was little and her strong feeling of compassion for her nihontou were the two things that had kept her fighting here.
“Gokotai..” she breathed in quietly, her brows knitting as she felt that her legs were almost giving up again, “It’s close enough to my room already.. You can leave me here..”
“Anything to help you, aruji-sama.” His small form hiding a fair amount of strength. He didn’t wish to invade her thoughts, only to help. Yet, he still would not leave her in a state as weak as the one she was in. I can not leave another wounded alone. She is so weak and I refuse to leave her be.
His thoughts interrupted by his name. His own brows furrowing at the statement. “Aruji-sama, I’m not going to leave you til I know you are safe and laying down. It’s my responsibility alongside the others. I know I may seem small and weak but...” Nibbling on his lip, a habit he had picked up in his human form. “I can not leave you hurt like this. Even if you forced me to leave, which I know you can not.”
She may not know of the nightmares or the memories. I know but... Maybe I will tell her one day. Maybe. “Aruji-sama, I can not be forced to turn my eye on an injured comrade. Not again. You are my saniwa but by that, you are my comrade. An ally. A friend.” Biting down on his lip again, he tried to summon forth some more strength to hopefully lift her up some. To release some weight from her weakening legs.
