Hey yall, I’m participating in an unofficial art fight this year (because the official one causes me anxiety)

Im looking for fun characters to draw, I have a semi realistic art style and I’ll include photos of my work.

I’m not sure how much traction this post will get but submitting a character DOES NOT automatically mean I will draw them.

I may amend this post with additional details if something feels prudent, otherwise the flood gates are open.

Fact: Apart from pure recognition factor, one of the major reasons your fanart gets more eyes on it than our OCs is because people are perverts for narrative context, and your OCs don't have any.

Corollary: You don't actually need to write a whole-ass graphic novel to achieve that narrative context. You do need to know what your OCs' story is, but once you do, you can literally just draw contexless snapshots from that story that raise more questions than they answer and people will fill in the blanks.

Here’s a charcoal portrait of my OC Kid/Khet! I love him so much <3

Khet is an undocumented Ixian immigrant from the northern plains region. His first day off the boat he’s framed for murder and dragged into detective Abrams’ orbit helping him uncover a grand conspiracy revolving around Ixian aid societies and the northern railroad company. He eventually joins the ritual against Abrams’ wishes in an effort to protect Abrams from the tome.

I was wondering if you would sell the fabric pattern you used to make your whirl plush? Like just a pdf of the flat fabrics with minor instructions on which pieces connect with each other.

Your plush just looks so cool and looks really fun to make but I’m not great with fabric cutting.

I love your work. And I think your whirl looks amazing.

It would take me some time to get a pattern up and running I have most of the paper pieces I used so it’s possible if people really want one.
