I am so honored that I'm again invited to be a part of this ongoing campaign filming LAKE CITY BANK with DRIVETHRU in Minnesota. It was early in my career when we started this process and here we are over 15 years later filming another round. Loyalty is rare in this business and I feel truly lucky that I've found partners to continuously collaborate with over the years. This time was extra special as I brought my family out to Minnesota and we got some extra special time on the lake. The Pickleball spot played during SUPER BOWL LX locally in Minnesota.

We teamed up with OBB for the second time for this super-fun CeraVe project. I met and collaborated with some truly amazing people while helping bring this amazing campaign to life. After Draymond Green called out Kevin Durant on his podcast for having the "ashiest legs in the NBA" and saying, "They're so ashy they're scales..." Kevin Durant didn't let this moment define him. So he went to the #1 Dermatologist recommended brand for Lotion and had one of the sickest clap-backs. After KD tweeted out this video, it went on to be shared over 40million+ times on X without engagement boosting. It's amazing what a good idea can do.

DRAFT KINGS

They wanted big cinematic visuals that resembled a fox hunt somewhere deep in the woods in England. So we went to the Big Oaks Ranch in Florida. A few tubes of death (provided by the talented Chris Dugan), and a talented equestrian-savy group of actors and wranglers gave us the look we were after. The trick was finding a path without exposed roots, so that the horses can gallop full steam. We used a service road and covered it in leaves.

Another complicated shot is to do dialog while in full gallop. Can’t mount a camera to a horse, or you’ll get earthquake camera. We can’t stick an arm car camera right in his face, as horses are unpredictable- and we have to keep our actors safe. The budget-flush productions would bring an animatronic horse that is towed by a vehicle- like a process trailer for a horse. We were not that production. So we improvised with strapping our actor and cinematographer into the back of a pickup and had someone waive a black wig in frame. Voila! Instant horse.

Zander Gonif MASTERCLASS

When big-time Hollywood talent agent, Zander Gonif, got a chance to do a Masterclass, he didn’t hold back.

This is a passion project with longtime collaborator Ben Koldyke. We’ve teamed up on many successful short films in the past under the VanRoble collective. He is a brilliant writer and actor.

Out of pure necessity, I cast my son to play a young Zander. He loved playing the role and his dad couldn’t be more proud.
