Hearing his response, Bella fake gasped and shook her head as she closed the door behind him. “I’m honestly shocked to hear that. I actually don’t think I have any words to respond with.” She said in joking disappointed voice before letting out a small giggle. “We had such a good thing going here, Tin. Then you went and chose smelly fish over me.” Bella teased through small burst of laughter. It had honestly felt like forever since they were like this. So much had been happening that it was a relief to be joking with him again.
Walking towards the kitchen, she turned and started to walk backwards to tease him even more. “Oh! FYI, that chocolaty aroma you are smelling, that’s the homemade brownies I will now be eating, all by myself.” She spoke, whispering the last three words as she turned back around and entered the kitchen to get plates.
Tin laughed and shook his head at her. “I don’t think I could actually pick smelly fish over you. They don’t laugh at my jokes or make great conversation partners. They kind of just sit there and stare. Not great company.” He explained in the light, carefree tone he almost always used while in the presence of her company. Jokes and conversation in general came easy whenever the two spent time with each other and it always had.
He opened the pizza box to reveal that it had chicken and bacon on it instead of smelly fish. “Here I actually brought over your favorite type of pizza, which I remembered, and I don’t get a single brownie.” He shook his head in a fake, sad disapproval. “I guess I’ll just have to eat this whole pizza by myself. It’ll help me achieve my dream of being a professional pizza eater too.”
