The Mistwood is Kay’s home, so no wonder she was drawn to the Traveler’s Garden. She wants to help plant trees, but she can’t decide on a good spot. The tree’s going to be there forever, so it has to be perfect!

She spots someone nearby who hasn’t planted his yet either, and he looks like an elf, too! Maybe he’ll be able to help her out.

“Excuse me? I can’t figure out where I should plant my tree. This seems like a really important decision… how are we supposed to know which spot is right?”

Admittedly, Ethari hadn’t devoted as much thought to the positioning of his sapling so much as he’d searched for a spot undershade where he could dig comfortably. Attention drifting towards the voice, the tips of his ears twitch in surprise at seeing another Elf, one whose origins he did not recognise as that. 

❝Well, I think these trees will be happy to get planted anywhere, so long as there’s plenty of room for them to grow!❞

 “Pardon me, is this seat taken.” he’s very quiet person, and suddenly appearing beside the elf, there is bound to be some confusion happening , but Shuwen is someone who is looking still for some excitement in his life right now. 

But still appearing instantly beside someone is bound to scare people. Its all thanks to his presence erase skill.

          Ethari was accustomed to the subdued presence of Shadow Elves slinking unnoticed, but the apparition of a stranger next to his ear does make him jostle, almost enough to spill his beverage.

Hey tdptumblr, I'm feeling a bit down at the moment so I was wondering if you could pretty please tell us some little trivias or headcanons about the world? :)

Aww, okay! Headcanon: Rayla helped Zym learn to hunt bugs and small critters for food. It was one of the strangest but most fulfilling uses of her assassin training ever.Headcanon: Viren’s guilt over Sarai’s death on the mission he’d advocated led to a deepening of his obsession with dark magic, because he longed to “fix it” for Harrow in some way. 

Headcanon: Ethari deeply, deeply prefers making jewelry and pretty things to making weapons. 

Trivia: Ezran was very briefly named “Finlay” (FIN-lee, it’s a scottish name!) in early development

It is with a great amount of self restraint Runaan does not ravage his husband then and there. Trailing of delicate, barely-there kisses raises goosebumps and shooting pangs of chasmic yearning. Absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder and he knew not of how terribly touched starved he was until Ethari all but nearly drove him over the edge of unfaltering control. Only one has ever frayed his stoic composure and only one will continue to do so until his dying breath. Runaan ascends their woven hands and delivers heated, scarcely trembling kisses to each and every one of Ethari’s knuckles. 

❝ If we do not cease I can’t guarantee they will refrain from further touching you. ❞

          His smile was soft, all encompassing of the warmth that radiated from his heart just knowing that Runaan was alive and well, let alone being graced by the graze of his lips upon his skin once again. A thumb brushed the line of Runaan’s puckered lips as they lavished his knuckles, desires for them to roam freely along other parts of his body quickly clouding his mind with wanton thoughts.

❝Would that my tongue be torn out rather than ask such a thing of them.❞ 

          Ethari whispered sweet nothings against the pointed shell of his beloved’s ear, guiding their linked hands towards his chest and over the area where his heart drummed up the storm of his mounting fervour.

Oh but they couldn’t, they shouldn’t, not here.

❝Not since he was 17 or so, does that sound about right Runaan?❞ His memory had gotten hazy after so many times.

Ethari’s overly generous ministrations and dotting concern is appreciated. Runaan will always be thankful for the kindhearted Elf he married and would never dream of shying away from his husband’s affection! After spending what felt like an eternity sequestered away from the arms of his love, fearing he’d never lay eyes on or touch again he would never take for granted these moments of intimacy shared with Ethari! 

But right now hes being smothered into an early grave

The more fussing that’s done the more Runaan buckles down and retreats in on himself! Crossing his arms rigidly, he exhales a sharp, exasperated growl in warning.

❝ Talking is pointless as it won’t change anything. What’s done is done. End of discussion! ❞ 

❝You...❞ A pause ensued as he inhaled a breath to maintain composure, eyes closed, shutting out Runaan’s vexing attitude. He was being quite insufferable, and it wasn’t often, if ever, that Ethari harboured such negative thoughts towards his beloved. 

❝Are so unreasonable at times, Runaan!❞ He couldn’t refrain from snapping, ire brewing, slowly bubbling to the surface.

❝It would make me feel at ease if you would just explain what reduced you to this sorry state and if my feelings are pointless to you, well.❞ Ethari sighed through his nose. He regretted the terseness of his words but, he wasn’t one to keep his emotions locked away, unlike a certain someone.

❝ Ethari.. E-Ethari! Its fine. Stop worrying. ❞ Reassuring his husband was something Runaan had done time and time again. No matter the circumstances or trials ahead he would always return to Ethari so as his face was being prodded by curious hands Runaan remains level headed and insists everything is alright. They are, after all, only bruises. He’s endured far worse and felt the incessant inquires and brows riddled with worry was needless. He hisses only once when the black and blue swelling surrounding his right eye is inspected and lightly bats away Ethari’s hands.

❝ I’ll. Be. Fine. Okay? ❞

          Ethari can admit, ever since Runaan had returned to him under miraculous circumstances he had become...a somewhat overbearing spouse. He’d married an Assassin Elf and long accepted the consequences that went hand in hand with that title, yet Runaan’s brush with death had given him bitter taste of what life would be like without his better half around to fill it with, well, something worth living for. In the past, seeing Runaan’s mottled face would have been a concern Ethari recovered from swiftly, after a bout of doting and smoothing healing balm over his poor husband’s injuries. 

          This time was different though. His worry felt more like a tight ball of anxiety spinning in his chest, the mere thought of losing Runaan all over again almost pushing him to the verge of tears every time. It made him susceptible to fussing a whole lot more, and even turned the usually good natured Elf a little moody, especially when he’s swatted at by that stubborn mule of a husband of his!

❝Yes, of that I’m sure Runaan.❞

❝But I still want to know what happened to you, please, you can talk to me.❞

Green eyes are looking over the different choices of chocolates. If he remembers correctly he had one that was not overly sweet. “I think these are pretty good.” Dark chocolate. With a hint of sweetness to it but with also a mix of bitter. He liked that one, “These are the best.” 

❝Wonderful, then I shall take three!❞ 

          One for himself, one for his dear husband ( who is also a divine concoction of both sweet and bitter! ) and one for the kind human boy who’d helped in his decision making. Ethari grabbed a handful of the bars, tucking them into a small shopping pouch he’d fashioned of leather scraps.

❝Thank you for your help, shall we go and pay for these?❞

“They’re very good.” He remembers when he first tried chocolate. It was back in the previous city.  Klaus wasn’t much of a sweet tooth person, but chocolates. Man, he likes them a lot. “I would recommend trying. Just for the experience.”

❝Don’t mind if I do!❞ Ethari agreed, but with so much to choose from, the Elf was at a loss on what to pick. Half of the ingredients used as garnishings he’d never even heard of before now.

Miu quickly apologizes as the man catches her staring at him for a good while. He is yet another otherworldly person that she meets in this Radial City. Truly, this city is full of people that probably comes out from fairy tale and fictions, no matter how impossible it might sound.

Miu turns her head away in embarrassment, lowering her head as always just to keep half of her face covered by her bangs for as long as she wants to.

“I-I don’t mean to stare at you… I’m sorry…” And she apologizes, again.

          Awakening curiosity is always better than aggression, Ethari thinks, especially when concerning humans and elves. Though he’d noticed very quickly that most humans on this island didn’t harbour the same animosity for his kind, which made sense in a way, the feud between the two being very much a grudge specific to Xadia.

❝Oh, it’s no problem, really.❞ He assured the timorous girl, offering a smile to show she hadn’t caused any offense.

          Muscles tensing in surprise beneath the gentle drum of his husband’s touch, Ethari turned to face Runaan, hazel eyes lowering to the bestowed flower. While it was strange for Runaan to willfully adhere to a human custom, the soppy gesture, was not. Coarse fingers carefully pinched the stem, hovering the petals just under his nose where Ethari inhaled its sweet, intoxicating scent. His hand reached for Runaan’s cheek and cupped the smooth flesh there, thumb tracing delicate circles.

❝Of course.❞

❝You know my heart would have no other, Runaan.❞
