“Well, best uncle, it’s quite an honor to be in your presence right now. Soccer is one of my daughter’s favorite sports, so if you’re up for playing her sometime, she might kick your butt.”
“Oh, just very basic ones – card tricks, sleight of hand. Nothing that would impress anyone in Vegas. He’s three. And your little girl?”
“Well, you’ve clearly impressed my little girl, so I think that should be enough.” Tinley teased the man, smiling sweetly. “Awe, how cute! Just passed the ‘Terrible Twos’. My little girl Peyton here is five years old.”
“Oh, well, either way, good for me.. that sounded bad. I meant it has a joke.”
“Don’t worry, I thought it was funny. Are you quite the jokester all the time?”
He grinned as the girl ducked behind her mother, clearly flustered. He glanced up at the woman, letting out a small laugh. “Ah, thank you… glad to know I look younger. Early thirties, actually. Thirty-three, to be exact. Although, I guess that’s just a little bit too old for the little lady.” He continued to smile as he winked at the little girl, who was still mostly hidden behind her mother. He observed them for a moment. “I’m Theo, by the way.”
“Really? You don’t look thirty-three whatsoever.” Tinley said surprised, smiling over at the man. “Oh yeah, you’re just out of her reach, but I think she’ll be okay with it.” She said in a teasing tone. “Theo, it’s a pleasure. I’m Tinley, and this is Peyton.” She said, motioning down to her hidden daughter.
“I’ll agree with that, she has a very cute mother too. Hello, little one.” Rebecca cooed softly with a smile as the little girl came closer to her. “How old is she?”
Giggling cutely, Peyton waved hi to the redhead and hid close by Tinley. “She’s five years old. She’ll be turning six just after my 26th birthday.”
Alese looked at the little girl from her spot in the booth. “Aw, that’s cute.” She turned to look at her daughter. “I like your hair.”
Smiling sweetly, Peyton giggled cutely and hid her face in her mother’s arms. Laughing softly, Tinley looked over at the woman again and smiled. “I think she likes yours, too. That’s probably why she’s staring at you.”
“Why do children stare? It makes me feel very uncomfortable.”
“I-I’m sorry to hear that. I think children stare for awhile because they’re interested in something or someone and want to talk to them or figure it out.”
“Awwww,”‘ Ki Jae smiled and leaned over to give a little wave. Kids were so cute, and she seemed very nice. “Hello! It’s nice to meet you.” he smiled at Tinley as well. “and you.” he smiled, giving a quick nod. “I’m Ki Jae.”
Waving hi shyly, Peyton gave the man a smile and so did Tinley. “Ki Jae, it’s a pleasure. I’m Tinley and this is Peyton.” She said, motioning to her daughter right by her side. “Are you new here?”
“Really? I tend to scare little kids.”
“Really? Well, if you want to try and scare my daughter, you’ve got to try really hard since she’s a tuff little cookie like her mother.”
“Really? Well, just to let you know that I’m not into little girls. I’m not one of those. But I feel flattered.”
“Don’t worry, I think she’ll be fine with that like I am. Right now, she thinks boys have cooties, but men don’t, so you’re in the clear.”
“What? Oh, oh Gosh thank you. She’s one gorgeous little girl herself though.”
“Awe, you’re too kind. Her name is Peyton and she’s five years old.”
“It’s the beard, my son goes crazy for it too. I think it reminds him of the dog and he’s absolutely crazy about the dog.”
“You have a son? How old is he, if I may ask? Don’t worry, you’re son is not alone since my little girl here loves dogs.”
“I’m flattered. She’s the adorable one though. How old is she?”
“She’s five years old. She loves barbies and the color pink, but those are just fun facts.”
“Aw, that’s sweet. I’ve been told I have a welcoming face.”
“Well, the people telling you that are very true. Look, your face has already made me open up and be honest with you already.”
“Must be the badge catching her eye, I’m flattered though she’s quite the looker too. Get’s it from you I’m starting to see.”
“That’s very kind of you to say. I appreciate it. I think the badge is pretty shiny for her taste.”
“I’m a grad student at NYU.”
“Really? I went to Columbia University a few years ago and have visited NYU a couple of times. How long have you been there for?”

PAST:
Once upon a time, on December 7th, 1992, Tinley Humphries was born in Lanford, New York. Being the youngest in the Humphries family, she made sure she was the full-time princess whom her parents loved so much. Not having a single interest in the family business, she took a liking to taking care of her toys like they were her sick patients. While caring her dreams away, she kept a big smile and always wore a beautiful dress for the media and press. At the age of eight, she began to show her spoiled side and became the real princess in and outside the house. Entering her high school years, she was known to be one of the biggest party girls you’ve ever seen. Keeping up high grades and staying at the top of her class, she was all about the multiple hook-ups, drugs, and drinking more than she can handle. After seeing her attend multiple raves and parties, you would never know she was a Humphries. In the house, she was the princess who always got her way, but was always polite and kind to her siblings, especially her older brother.
When it came to outside of the house, Tinley was definitely another story. Continuing on her rebellious behavior, she graduated at the top of her class and attended Columbia University in New York City with a full ride. Her freshman year of being a lively Lion, she stayed her party self, but became more laid back as college was hard on her. This was when she first met her ex-boyfriend Caleb, Caleb Matthews. He helped her with every homework assignment in every way and she didn’t know how to repay him. Almost throwing herself at him, she instead felt a connection with him and they lasted a year together. Breaking up with him since she didn’t know how to love properly, she fell back into her rave stage and fell pregnant in no time. Not knowing what to do, she ran to her favorite nurse and she took her in. Finishing her first semester with straight A’s as a sophomore, she dropped out of school and lived with her nurse for the remainder of her pregnancy.
At the age of twenty, Tinley gave birth to a beautiful, sweet, lovely baby girl and named her Peyton Marie. After holding her baby girl for the first time, she knew she had to keep her. For the first few years, she and her old nurse took great care of Peyton and she couldn’t be more happy. She was a teen mother who was making it in the world. Being a hard working new mother, she got her bachelors degree in Nursing, obtained an RN License, and took the School Nurse Certification Exam.
PRESENT:
Now at the age of twenty-five, Tinley has changed for the better all because of Peyton. Her personality took a huge turn and she’s now a loving, selfless, kindhearted, sweet woman who would do anything to help anyone at any given moment. She is passionate about taking care of people and is looking for a job. Hearing bits and pieces from her older brother, she found out that she needed to be home with him. Getting a job as the head nurse at Haverford High school, she rushed home with Peyton in hand. Arriving back in Lanford, she got her own place, put Peyton into Kindergarten, and started her job. Her and Peyton have been back in Lanford for about two weeks now.
