Okay, I’m talking a breath.

I actually do really enjoy the doctrine of eternal families. I’ve seen how it’s helped people deal with losing a family member. I love that we love the eternal family, that it’s a unique doctrine. We came up with it, and it’s weird that we do. I love that we started practicing eternal families, and immediately made the most bizarre daily structures around. I love that I’m related to so many people around me, both culturally and literally, if you go back far enough. Polygamy is a bit sticky, but I think it’s a good idea introduced by mortal men (who was it that was sealed to multiple husbands? Eliza R. Snow?) The eternal family such a weird thing that we do and I’m glad we have it

I think we should be excited to bring that gift to as many people as we can, and open the doors as wide as possible, rather than use it as a hammer to keep people out. We love our fellow man, and so we created an interconnected web so we all go together
