In 1.03, did they really think they were fooling anyone? They were so obviously smitten.

Ironically, nobody except Sara (and possibly Linda) noticed a damn thing. Compulsory heteronormativity allowed these two smitten boys to hide in plain sight, despite being so terribly obvious about their mutual adoration. Nobody expected the prince to be queer (princes are never supposed to be queer). Therefore nobody noticed him being smitten with the choirboy, and the choirboy being smitten right back.

And this is also the last episode in which Wilhelm is just a prince, and not the Crown Prince. Damn you, Erik, for driving a Ferrari too fast in Swedish winter. Your little brother’s life would’ve been so much easier if he hadn’t inherited your title. Not to mention all the grief he got so little time to process.

1.03 is the last hopeful episode, before the outside world catches up with two boys in love, and catches up with a vengeance.
