It’s almost Juneteenth and you know what that means. Time for some reparations. I’m a black, trans, mentally ill and physical disabled person and with that come trouble with money. The stimulus check made me have more money that I have in a while but that obviously didn’t last forever. My car keeps breaking and I have to use grocery delivery a lot. That’s expensive. I participate in elections but I never understand the way people genuinely seem to *support* politicians as like symbols and project that onto who they are as a person. As far as I’m concerned, what I’m doing is choosing my enemy. I’m still going to be against the United States as a settler imperialist state whether the president is Warren or Trump or Sanders, I’m just choosing what administration will be the easiest to challenge with the fewest deaths. Who is the most likely to respond in a material way to protest and direct action? Who is least likely to use military force to suppress uprisings? It’s just practicality.. I don’t care about arguing about their personalities. Every person in a place of political or economic power in the United States is someone I oppose.
