The late summer #tinytokyogarden game in my neighborhood is so strong. I think...I'm going to have to restart my blog documenting it all. Stay tuned. (at Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Japan)

August vibes on the Kanda River.

Myōtsū-ji Temple in Obama, Japan.
So sad that my journey in japan has come to an end (for now), but I'm delighted that Narita Airport is giving me a sendoff with tiny garden-flanked walkways. High five, Japan. In the meantime, I'll continue posting some tiny gardens from the cutting room floor.
One more photo of the Gassho Zukuri in Shirakawago.
Adventure to Shirakawago, where a village of Edo period thatched-roof farmhouses (called Gassho Zukuri) has been preserved.
Shirakawago was blanketed in snow, but there were still colorful tiny gardens to be found!
Perfect tiny garden in Kyoto with the vine tapping at the window.
Magical Kyoto, Koryu-ji temple.
Buddhas sharing a bib at a tiny roadside altar in Kyoto.
Fortunes at Kehi Shrine (including my "small lucky" one) buried in the snow. May the not-so-good fortune be left behind and the good fortune be carried into our next year.
Osechi, traditional meal of the new year. Homemade and shared with friends.
To celebrate the new year, we visited a tiny Buddhist temple and Kehi Shrine. Blizzard conditions; welcome, 2015!
Happy New Year from the big mountains and tiny gardens of Japan. xoxo
A man on the Kanonji temple grounds was cutting the last kaki from the trees and throwing them down to excited passersby.
Tiny gardener's dream at the Kyoto Toji flea market. It takes place on the 21st of every month and I highly recommend going (for much more than plant life) if you're in Kyoto.
