random thoughts about the California seasons of Laverne and Shirley

so i’m almost done with season 7 and i don't know what it is about Shirley, but since their move to Burbank, her character has really gotten on my nerves, between her being more whiny and annoying AF than usual, and also treating Carmine like trash while also being weirdly possessive of him.

Not to mention when it comes to her and Carmine “dating” other people, Carmine doesn’t say anything or complain about her dating other men, but (since the early seasons) she gets all moody and jealous when he goes out with other women, and her blatant hypocrisy about it just drives me NUTS.....she has no room to complain about him dating other women when she dates many different men .... and to think i actually wanted them to end up together up until about season 5 or so; what the hell was i thinking?? LOL. Carmine is too good for Shirley!!

I REPEAT, CARMINE RAGUSA IS TOO GOOD FOR SHIRLEY FEENEY, PERIOD.

should i be happy she left to marry a mummy doctor in season 8? lol

as an employee of a public school....

the one thing i hate about public education in this country??? the fact that my coworkers, and other hard working teachers everywhere who teach in a public school, have to “beg” for money and use sites like Donors Choose and cut out box tops off of cereal boxes in order to get educational material (iPads/other tech, alternative seating for my friends in sped, etc.) and other essentials for their classrooms ((i also hate this whole teach-for-the-tests bullshit the districts push on teachers and kindergarteners in my parish having their recess [and almost their naptime] taken away from them too, but that’s another rant for another day)).....i’m sorry but everything about that is totally next level fucked up. it’s something i’ve been thinking a lot about ever since i started working as a para back in 2016. 

There is a meme floating out there somewhere about how instead of kids and parents cutting out box tops for education and federal $$ going to prisoners, that maybe it should be the other way around (i.e. prisoners cut out box tops and the feds can give the $$ to schools instead)......yes i know it’s wishful thinking. i wish that i had enough money to donate to all of the campaigns that my coworkers have established on DC because they’re all amazing and because they deserve it and because the kids deserve to have whatever it is they need in order to get the most out of their education

finished Santa Clarita Diet season 3 yesterday and i’m so bummed it’s over forever :’( such a great and funny show!! can’t believe Netflix axed it, ugh

Stranger Things s3 came out today and i’m liking it so far....2 episodes down, 6 to go ....

also i was today years old last week when i discovered that medium format film (120) is cheaper than 35mm film??? ...basically 5 rolls of medium format portra 400 is cheaper than 5 rolls of 35mm portra 400 ....i don't understand it, but it’s cool i guess lol
