Scent mates are supposed to complement each other. Dunk is very nice some can say almost too nice with no confidence in himself.

Rhae and Daella died in a school fire.

Aemon couldn't take the pressure of all his family dying and ended his life.

Daeron tried to do the same but was caught by Maekar.

Daeron drinks like crazy because only in his hallucinations can he see his siblings.

Modern world Baelor is completely healthy and so are his sons which makes Maekar extremely envious.

The only reason Maekar is still alive is because Daeron would not survive without him.

When Modern World Daeron woke up in the body of Westeros World Daeron he was shocked to see Egg his dead brother alive that he burst into tears.

Egg just thought his brother Daeron had a bad dream but still hugged and comforted him.

His brother was bald but he looked healthy, at this point nothing else mattered to Daeron and where Egg was going so was he.

So when Egg eventually tracked down Dunk, he gained two peasant squires that day.

Daeron has no idea why his little brother in his dreams wanted to play squire to some homeless man and wanted to sleep under elm trees but at this point he just didn't care.

Dreams weren't suppose to make sense.

Though he hopes he doesn't wake up, this dream is so peaceful if strange.

I Regret It, If I Could Turn Back Time I would Make A Different Choice AU Time Travel

Valarr goes back in time just as his father asked to borrow his armor and Valarr justs straight up says no.

He said "he can't because he'll be using the armor. He'll fight for Ser Duncan, he'd trust his father judgment, so the ser must be innocent."

So he ignored his father's protest and got into his armor.

Valarr thought he couldn't let his father die for that Hedge Knight but at the same time Dunk had won, he had been proven innocent.

So he can't just let an innocent man die for merely defending an innocent.

He thought it wouldn't matter if he died in the trial because he would have died later to the sickness soon after, what difference would it have made dying a little earlier.

So when he rode up to Dunk he told him your innocent with the conviction of a man who knew the truth(which he did😅 but everyone else didn't know that) and said "all Knights made the same vow."

Valarr had full faith Dunk would win and told him so, "your an innocent man so of course you'll win."

So when the trial ended Valarr walk up to Dunk and said "see you won."

Dunk of course wanted to be the honorable Prince Valarrs man but Valarr "wanted Dunk to be his father's man to dedicate his life to his father since he won't be there."

Dunk was horrified with what Valarr said because it implied that Valarr did not believe he would survive.

So Valarr changed his words and said "If I survive my wounds you would be my man however if I succumb to my wounds, please kind Ser look after my father.

So when Valarr did get the mace to the back of his head thanks to his helmet being the right size he did die but he died slowly like within a few days.

Also Valarr told Daeron of the sickness that would happen in the future and told him to save his brother and keep his father alive.

To not let his sacrifice be in vain.

Baelor had to watch his baby die and his brother was the one who delivered the final blow.

Baelor excepts Dunk into his service because it was his baby final will but he does have complicated feelings for him.

Which is made even worse is when Dunk is genuinely good like it's difficult to get mad at someone who is sincere and honest.

Baelor is glad he helped a good man but at the same time their is guilt because he's regretting helping because Valarr died fighting for Dunk.

Like if only he keep his mouth shut his son would still be here.

Which is then made worse when Dunk who is also grieving his son, the one who believed Dunk would win with such confidence and faith.

He at times of weakness wishes his son was a little more selfish, a little less honorable because if he was maybe he'd still be alive.

Aerion gets sent to the wall instead of Lys because Baelor was grieving hard.

Maekar well let's just say Baelor can no longer stand being in the same room as him without being sick.

But the thing is Baelor doesn't hate his little brother he still loves him and that just makes his feelings of sickness even worse.

Sometimes he wished he could hate Maekar because everything would have been so much easier if it was that.

Daeron POV

He was burning, his throat, his head, he was in agony. He was all alone dying because of his own greed. A stupid pox killing him.

Guilt and regret clawed at his throats like the bile he spat.

His siblings, how will they feel when he is the first to go. He wants to see them at least one last time.

Egg will have to hear of it from a Raven, Aerion still in lys, Clever Aemon in the citadel, Dear sister's close yet not let close for fear they may get sick as well.

Daella and Rhae don't deserve the trauma of hear me getting sicker and weaker by the day talking through a door to me.

Father is busy being king, he doesn't know how bad it's gotten probably thinks I am just drunk. He won't even see me when I am dying. He not here when I need him.

I just want the pain to end, then it did. I began dreaming again but their was no pain in this dream.

I was offered a deal he could go back in time, can change everyones fate but his own.

He thought it was perfect but was wary how can a god be so kind, So I asked the price.

He has to die how he died in the past. If he tries to save himself or live longer then before, then the changes he made will slowly unravel.

He can't do this again he died in pain alone with his sister watching safely from the door. As they screamed for someone to help him as they tried coming in.

He can't put them though this again their desperate hope that he would get better, and their devastation when he just got worse.

"Please Stranger don't make me do this to my little sisters whose only crime was loving their failure of a brother."

So the gods gave me a generous second option if I could not remember how I died or simply doesn't wanna risk somehow messing it up I can simply choose to kill myself before the time I died originally and they would accept that too.

When I fix everything I can simply find a way to die out of my family sight where I can't disappoint my father further or cause my siblings more pain, it not like they'll notice anything wrong.(They will immediately🤡🤡🤡)

Maekarlings Regret AU Part 2

Egg does hear on the road that a prince was struck with an arrow and that another is in a coma but does not know who.

So Egg asked Dunk to take him back to Ashford and confess that he is a prince and is worried that his family is hurt🥺😭🥺.

Dunk was upset that Egg lied but baby Egg is so worried about his family that Dunk let's it go for now and begans to make his way back to Ashford.

Baelor very bad day begans

Baelor was very relieved that his son was okay only to find out he's only okay because Aerion had pushed his boy out of the way.

His son isn't doing well so when Daeron arrive he has him watch him.

His baby brother is gone, Aerion gone, and Daeron isn't doing well.

Aegon needs to found, he will be found.

Valarr POV

Valarr is feeling guilty for not noticing the arrow and having to be saved by his cousin.

Aerion words may have been harsh about him having been a weak fool not to notice he was getting attacked.

On there way back he said "Watch over my drunken older brother and my menace of a younger one."

Valarr was sure Aerion was convinced he was dying and he was getting Aerions final words.

Then it gets worse when Daeron shows up without Aegon with severe head wounds. We only learnt he lost Aegon during the attack.

Then Uncle Maekar get a heart attack from the stress

The only thing he could do is watch over Daeron as Aerion had asked.

Father is not taking any of this well he believes hes at fault for not taking this as seriously as he should.

Daeron had slipped into a coma they don't know when he will wake up.

He is later told Aerion had succumbed to his wounds.

Uncle Maekar dies right after as if to follow his son.

Its now his job to makes sure Daeron survives and makes a full recovery.

Daeron has woken up but he's confused he doesn't recognize any of us he's asking for Egg but he doesn't know who Egg is.

He afraid of us he doesn't know us.

I don't know how to help him. There Maester says it could be permanent, he may never regain his memory or it will take a while at least.

Soulmate Cursed, The One Who Ends Alone AU

The idea hit me what if not everyone is blessed with double sided bond.

The bond between Soulmates is considered incredibly sacred like no one can bring you more happiness then your soulmate.

When some who especially blessed when they lose their Soulmate their is a chance they will get a new Soulmate with another who had lost their Soulmate.

Everyone is born with one soulmate their whole life. However depending on how they live they may be cursed with a one-sided bond.

So Dunks soulmate was Rafe he had her name on his arm and they just knew felt the bond and so when she died Dunk was devastated and felt his whole world fell apart.

Aerion has Dunks name and well Dunk obviously does not have his so while Aerion will feel a bond Dunk won't feel anything.

And Aerion is so arrogant he'll be upset that his soulmate is a commoner while Dunk won't understand why this Prince is so upset with him.

Dunk just ignores him and continues on his way but Aerion get pissed that he's ignoring him.

The real reason why Egg wanted Dunk to change his name to Duncan is so that he will miss Aerion. He does not know that they are not mutual soulmates.

Dunk is trying to live his best life while trying to ignore this prince who is suddenly everywhere and is so rude to him.

Egg is hiding in the bushes trying to figure out a plan to get rid of his brother.

Aerion attacking Tanselle is more because hes jealous that Dunk seems to be crushing on her hard while his "Perfect Soulmate" is right in front of him.

Dunk The Dragon and The Weirdo Who keeps Insisting He's His Real Soulmate AU

So Soulmates glow a bright white light on their first meeting.

Dunk is a dragon shifter so sharper senses, stronger strength, and faster healing. Dunk will also have a strong sense of freedom, he will start to feel unsettled if he stays in one place to long.

As a dragon Dunk will be more possessive and territorial on what few things he has.

Dunk and Baelor are soulmates.

Dunk is more protective of little Egg because he's lonely😭😭 and in his instincts Egg is basically his baby.

When Baelor meets Dunk he is happy to meet his soulmate.

Dunk wants to show Baelor the skies as his soulmate.

Egg is so angry that his Ser kept being a dragon a secret from but is happy Dunk gets to be apart of the family.

Aerion is his usual delusional self, is convinced Dunk recognized the wrong targaryen as his Soulmates.

Aerion is basically Dunks stalker who Dunk thinks is a little weird if harmless.

Dunk and Baelor get along well but there is a problem Dunk does not have any plans to settle anytime soon.

So after the Ashford Tournament when he wins he continues traveling he can visit as a dragon if he wants to see Baelor.

He still asks can he take Egg with him to be his Squire.

They are long distance relationship goals I guess.

Egg really be living his best life with Dunk the Dragon Hedge Knight.

Though Eggs favorite thing to do is when they go visit his Uncle Baelor because Dunk lets Egg go traveling on dragon back since it fast.

When the spring sickness hits it takes both Baelor kids and his parents.

Dunk stays with Baelor to comfort him for a little while.

It a shame even then he is too happy being a free Dragon hedge knight to stay permanently in Kings Landing so he moves back to the roads.

Even if they make each other happy Dunk won't be if he's forced to stay.

Dunk is with his Squire Egg and his stalker Aerion who they have given up on trying to Dodge.

Egg is not happy that Aerion is with them this time but finds it hilarious that Dunk seems to be under the impression that Aerion is just mentally Slow/delusional

Especially when Aerion keeps bringing up how there both Dragons. And Dunk is just like hmm. Yes. Yes.

He told Egg it isn't kind to bully those who aren't well in the head and Egg started dying 🤣🤣🤣.

Daeron The Drunken No More AU

The idea is that Egg dies while Daeron is Drunk at the Inn.

Egg leaves to go find a knight to squire for and just ends up getting robbed and killed.

So when Maekar comes looking for Daeron and his lie of a robber and him fighting off the robber and how he lost Egg, not knowing that is basically the truth.

Egg corpse is never found because he's bald and dressed in peasant clothing.

So they are constantly looking for someone they don't know is dead and is bald while dressed like a peasant.

While Daeron is constantly getting dreams of a baby dragon getting slain with a sword.

Maekar is trying to get more details from Daeron while Daeron himself is coming to the realization that Egg might be the dead baby dragon in his dreams and so he desperately began his own sobering up journey.

He for once is trying to get more info from his dreams to see if he can find out what had happened to Egg.

He never touches alcohol after this incident again 😭😭😭 sober but at what cost.

Grief Can Drive Someone Mad AU

Baleor dies at the trial of seven but the moment he dies Valarrs dragon egg hatches the baby dragon has Baelor eyes.

Maekar and Valarr are convinced the baby dragon is Baelor reborn.

Its not Baelor reborn, Maekar and Valarr are just crazy with grief that they just like to pretend Baelor is still with them.

It doesn't help that the Dragon is only friendly with Valarr and Maekar.

Valarr survives the spring sickness thanks to the extra strength given to him by his baby dragon.

His little brother Matarys however does not survive.

After Matarys death Valarr goes a little crazier as he desperately tries to convince himself that his baby dragon is Baelor reborn and Maekar feeds into his delusions as he too misses his brother.

Valarr sleeps with his baby dragon and takes it everywhere with him, you are not separating the two.

Maekarlings Regret AU

Daeron was smarter and got hair dye and proper peasant clothes so when he ran away with Egg he did not get discovered, man did not want to participate in the tourney. Egg still runs away but this time with his hair dyed with Dunk.

Maekar can not find his babies and is stressed and pulls Aerion out of the tourney to help find the rest of his kids.

Valarr offers to search with Aerion only for Aerion to get shot with a crossbow during there search by a blackfire sympathizer.

It was not a planned attack but one made because they were there was an opportunity.

The shooter gets killed so they only know he was a blackfire loyalist

When they return Maekar is horrified but he is afraid that something may have happened to his other kids since they can not be found.

Maekar is now desperately searching for his other sons because in his POV this is a calculated planned blackfire attack.

Daeron does get attacked and gets several hits to the head but it was a robbery, he makes it back to Ashford just in time to reach Maekar and say sorry that he lost Egg and then collapsed.

For Maekar the stress is simply to much at once and get a a stress induced heart attack.

Egg is causally living his best life with Dunk who was not able to meet the princes so no one was able to vouch for him leaves Ashford to go on to be a Hedge Knight with his squire Egg.

Maekar wakes up only to be told Prince Daeron has slipped into a coma, Prince Aerion condition is still unstable as he lost a lot of blood he needs to be watched closely, and Prince Ageon is still missing.

Baelor too is not having a good day his brother is not okay and his nephews are in a precarious situation.

Later Prince Aerion succumbs to his wounds and passes away Maekar receive another heart attack that he doesn't survive. Prince Daeron wakes up with amnesia because of a brain injury.

Baelor is watching Daeron like a Hawk with his son Valarr because Aerion got struck with the arrow, pushing him out the way.

Baelor is determined to makes sure Daeron survives his wounds and makes a full recovery while still searching for Aegon.

The One That Got Away Modern AU

Dunk and Maekar are divorced.

Dunk is a PE Teacher, Maekar is a Lawyer and his family is from Old Money. They Rich rich.

Daeron, Aerion, and Aemon are Dyanna and Maekar children created together she died in childbirth. They are all Alphas

Egg, Daella, and Rhae are there child they created together. They are all omegas

This is an omega verse with Alpha Dunk and Omega Maekar.

Dunk and Maekar meet when Dunk found Daeron passed out drunk in an Alley and returned him home. Dunk being his usual honorable self charmed Maekar with his sincerity and honesty.

However while Daeron and Aemon both grow fond of Dunk and Aerion "seems" to on the surface never warm up to Dunk and is constantly plotting the man's downfall.

The truth is that Aerion is just jealous that he doesn't constantly have Maekar attention and it doesn't help when Maekar just has more kids.

It also doesn't help that Dunk is an attentive father who constantly tells his kids he loves them and plays with them as often as he can.

Dunk can come back from work tired and still play with Egg and fix his daughter's hair or read to them.

Aerion doesn't actually hate Dunk but is deeply bitter that Dunk is such a good and openly loving parent. Dunk was a pretty good influence on Aerion until the children he had with Maekar came along.

Maekar love language is providing.

What makes it worse is that while Maekar isn't super loving as Dunk is, he's not a neglecting parent. It also doesn't help that Dunk would drag Maekar to play with the kids.

So yeah Aerion is secretly jealous of Dunk and Maekar children. He also enjoyed that Dunk listened to even the little things he enjoyed.

He eventually turns to violence against Dunk kids and Maekar can't really bring himself to punish Aerion to badly and part of himself is aware that Aerion behavior is his fault.

Dunk has enough he doesn't really mind Aerion harassing him because he basically knows that from Maekar kids that Maekar used to be not intentional negligence towards them but more accidental from his grief from his first wife and he only got better when Dunk entered his life.

Dunk does divorce Maekar because he feared for his children's safety and he doesn't want to force Maekar to choose between Aerion and him.

Dunk was well liked by the Targaryens/ Baleor kids because he treated Maekar really well and his attentive behavior towards the little things.

Dunk only found the courage to divorce Maekar thanks to his friends Lyonel and Raymun.

Lyonel was 100% whispering in Dunks ear about how his kids will feel much safer away from Aerion and his toxic behavior.

Raymun was deeply concerned about Dunks kids was talking about how Aerion should get counseling for his violence against his own siblings.

Raymun thought Dunk should take a break from Maekar not get divorce if only because of how Happy Maekar and Dunk were.

Time Travel AU Death Leaves A Mark On The Soul

Aerion when he dies of wildfire he is given the chance to go back in time but he is won't be alone he can chose to take someone with him but they can't be alive in his current timeline so he chooses Baelor.

He believes they can make the biggest changes with Baelor help. With Baelor jn the know and with him filling in the gaps in Baelor knowledge they can fix this mess.

There is just one problem Aerion has died before and so has Baelor that has changed something fundamental in the human mind. They have experience death and there alive when frankly they shouldn't be.

Humans have an instinctive desire to survive so they will struggle even if is meaningless but what about those who died. Once you've died you lose that instinctive response death was peaceful no stress and no constant worrying. There is a reason bringing back the dead is a taboo, it never ends well. When both come back to Ashford there will be a carelessness with their own safety, it won't even be intentional at first. However as time goes by they will feel the call to return to the Stranger's embrace.

For Aerion waking up back in Asford should bring relief he should rush to Baelor to confirm that they both been brought back. However all he feels is tired, his body feels heavy. Somethings wrong but he can't tell what.

Then he leaves to look for Baelor, however in his walk to search for Baelor he runs into his father Maekar. He looks better happier if grumpy looking. Something was clawing at his chest whispering promises of a peaceful rest before he knew it he was dropping to the floor.

Why was father looking at him like that. Someone was screaming in his ear his vision was shaking.

Maekar very bad no good day POV.

He was rushing to his brother chambers when he saw Aerion stumbling like a drunk, while he was getting ready to scold him. Aerion reached out to him to and pulled him into a Hug? Alarmed immediately spiked through him, then the mumbling began "Father glad your okay, really tired for some reason."

His boy started mumbling nonsense however that didn't matter when he suddenly dropped like he lost all the stregnth in his legs. "Father my chest feels heavy".

Fuck he picks his boy up and yelled for a Fucking Maester. However Donnel started rushing toward him and said something that took his breathe away "Prince Baelor has collapsed".

Suddenly Aerion weakness now seems a lot more terrifying, while his sons disappearance no longer seems as innocent as before. He thought Daeron simply ran away to avoid the tournament but now with both Aerion and Baelor collapsing this looks like a calculated attack on the royal family. Someone needs to check on Valarr.

Soulmates when think they about to die or about to receive a mortal wound their Soulmates can feel it, so they can chose to switch places with them as a way to protect there soulmate. Dunk x Baleor, Dunk takes a Mace to the face and just goes down and doesn't get up, Baleor in shock doesn't dodge Aerions blade and goes down willingly. Poor Maekar.

Soulmates are a divine blessing so Soulmates have a tendency to bring what you need when you meet them. So let's say you lost something important your Soulmate will have found it maybe on the road or just by walking by. Soulmates will know they are soulmates on site. Dunk x Baleor. While Dunk on his travels finds a dragon egg something in him tells him to keep it safe. When Ser Alarn dies the Egg hatches Dunk is all like so Targaryen soulmate probably. When Dunk sells sweetfoot something in Baelor tells him he needs to buy this random horse.

Maekar told Aerion to tell Daeron he won't be expected to be participating in the tourney because frankly everyone is concerned how Daeron acting. Mumbling to himself trying to hug Maekar while apologizing deeply unsettled him. He looks like he hasn't been sleeping he takes to long to respond to simple questions. He hopes what ever has taken over Daeron mind will calm when he hears he's no longer participating in the Tourney maybe the stress was too much.

Then the door flew open Aerion walked in and calmly said something that took his breath away.

Lets give some Background on how Soulmates work in this AU

Soulmates rarely meet mainly because the bond only activates when they take some of each others wounds. Soulmates can be around each other and simply never know it but of course they tend to be close even when they don't know that their Soulmates. That's just people with high compatibility at work. Also soulmates who die taking their Soulmates wounds leave their surviving Soulmate stronger more healthier as if they took the vitality that there soulmate should have had.

Now after the trial of seven Dunk declares himself Baelors man and Baelor does his little dramatic maiden fall into Dunks arms. Now here's where things get sad as Dunk is telling Baelor to get up the connection snaps into place and Dunk can feel Baelor dying so in a panic he tries to take all of Baelor wounds and while he a little to successful. Baelors left with but a few cuts, Dunk dies immediately and his bond with Baelor snaps. This leaves Baelor extremely traumatized because he knew his wounds were fatal he should be the one dead not his soulmate.

The situation only gets worse when they realize little Egg just watch Dunk just drop dead in front of him and he is in shock. Egg does not have a good time here and feels extremely guilty and extremely angry. When Maekar stops Eggs attempt to murder Aerion, well something in Eggs head snaps. Egg leaves the room and when Maekar thinks everyone is solved Daeron finds Egg on the ground mumbling and Drunk and he feels horribly guilty. He drove his baby brother to alcoholism so young. When he put Egg to bed he heard him whispering "it would have been better if I died then maybe then Ser would still be alive, its all my fault." Everyone will later learn the real reason Maekar sent Aerion away is because hes afraid he be murdered if he stayed here.

Also although Baelor is alive his relationship with Maekar completely falls apart and they truly are doomed Brothers. It's one thing to forgive Maekar hitting him with the mace but to know that wounds killed his soulmate who pledged himself to him and saved his life is something else. Baelor can't stand to look at Maekar much less be in the same room. Baelor can't stand to look in the mirror because he looks too healthy younger more youthful even and it breaks him. Knowing this is all at the cost of his soulmate, this new healthy look. Baelor wants to die but he can't bring himself to do it because his soulmate died saving him so he has to live no matter what. It also doesn't help when the spring sickness takes both his sons while leaving him completely untouched. Like mans mental health fractures, like his body is completely healthy while his mind died with his kids. He still lives because his life doesn't belong just to him anymore.
