Does anyone know of the fic/post about Danny being deaged? He is Damian's sibling (maybe twin?) and something bad happens that leads to clockwork yoinking him. He shrinks him back down to the age he was when he ended up with the Fenton's and just as Feral. All his memories of being with the Fenton's were gone I think? And he kept biting people. I don't remember much more than that but I've been looking for it and can't find it.
It might be this one not to sure tho

Seems right. Thank you.

hey uh new type of ao3 spam comment just dropped. (I know it's spam because the fic they left this comment on . doesn't have chapters. lmfao). Report this kinda comment as spam and don't take it personally it is literally recycled bullshit
Also y'all this really ties into how impactful comments are and why it's so encouraged to leave comments and leave NICE ones. If I hadn't known this was spam, and if I'd gotten this on my currently-updating fic, it would've crushed me and likely convinced me to never update again. Adversely, even one nice comment from someone is enough to motivate me to write and share more. If you read a fic you liked, tell the author that! If you're reading an unfinished fic, leave a comment to say you're excited for more, or comment throughout chapters even! It really is so easy and quick to do, and it's not only nice but it can also completely alter a writer's motivation and inspiration
I've been receiving similar comments, and it makes me feel a lot better to know it's not a real person, but just a random bot. Please spread the word
Halloween Dancers
I had an idea, I'll probably write it properly later but for now I'm getting it out of my head. I was reading a post a out Dash being a talkshow host and leading to them outing Amity and this came to mind.
A cousin of a citizen of Amity heard all about all the crazy stuff going down, they keep them updated in their weekly phone calls, but thought they were making it up. Eventually divolves into an argument and they decide to look to prove them wrong. And find the internet oddly sanitised, which makes them look deeper. Eventually they get others involved wondering tf is going on over in Illinois. They manage to break through but mess up, instead boosting the signal so much that the halloween livestreams take over a large chunk of American media. T.v. s, computers, phones, etc all playing the phantom streams, where someone sees phantom just chilling and starts streaming. this time it's Samhain and the place is eerie. Blue tinged fog covers the place, it's dark out, no living person in sight and the camera pointed to the sky. In the sky you see glowing figures dancing to music coming from nowhere. An ageless youth in regal clothes spinning his partner, white hair drifing like he's underwater, his partner dressed like the pharohs of old spinning alongside him. A woman dressed in victorian ballgowns joining their dance. Other etheral beings coming out of the woodwork, spinning in the sky alongside their king. The dead dancing in the starlit sky as the veil becomes thin enough they can all come through with no major issues. And this haunting scene taking over every screen within the signals range. As the hours go by the sun begins to rise and the fog fades. they bow and begin to fade back into the realms, leaving the original three waltzing in the sunrise as the stars fade before leaving themselves and the stream cuts off.
Turns out their cousin wasn't lying, wierd stuff is going on in Amity, and no one, including the JL, knew about it. Someones head was going to rule for the lack of info. This stunk of a coverup.
Landon Sanchez had heard all about the wacky stuff his cousin's so called hero boyfriend had been up to. Paulina loved bragging about their local hero and everyone he had defeated but Landon called bull. If half of what she claimed had actually happened, if beings from another dimension were casually entering and leaving their own world freely, then it would be national news. Half of these so called attacks were massive and surely someone would have reported it. He had never heard of any of it though and it had caused a massive argument on the families weekly phone call. They were both made to apologise but he was not over it and was determined to prove his cousin wrong.
He started simple, internet search. If this stuff was happening then it would have been posted online, that was just how things worked nowadays, and so a simple search should clear this right up. Landon was right, at least at first, there was nothing when he looked for Amity disasters but things seemed fishier the longer he looked.
There were no accounts at all from the city. Paulina's accounts, which he knew she updated religiously, were gone. He couldn't even find her on his own following list when he knew they were mutually following each other. Her old boyfriend, Dash, was gone too. He looked for the local business pages. Nothing. His favourite fast food place, a small kebab house that allowed online orders, but its website was gone. The local shelter? No dice. After a week of dead ends, looking into every place he remembered for sure had websites, checking his screenshots and looking at the old kebab menu to confirm to himself he wasn't crazy, and noticing the town had even lost it's local tourism page? Landon got others involved. It started small. He asked a friend of his who knew Paulina and was good with computers if he could find out why her profile had vanished, not mentioning anything else yet. Nope, he was stumped. They brought in others. No one found anything. It spread, subtly, online and through word of mouth. Somehow a group of hackers found out and took it as a challenge. People all over began trying to gain access to the missing city. People travelled in person, walking in circles for hours before giving up. It took months before they had a breakthrough and things exploded out of control.
Ironically enough considering what happened, they got through on Halloween, over a year after Landon first decided to prove his cousin a liar. They got access to a local livestream and streamed it to the devices of the now massive missing city hunters. Things went wrong and it spread further than expected. Hundreds of televisions, computers, phones and more all began displaying this livestream.
The stream was called 'Phantom Watch'. Wherever was being filmed was dark, covered in strange blue tinged fog and empty of people. It was an odd thing to stream but things soon changed. Whomever was holding the camera tilted it upwards and the scene took people breath away.
Dozens, if not hundreds, of glowing individuals began appearing in the sky. Music came from nowhere and they began dancing. Laughing and smiling and twirling around the sky. An ageless youth in regal clothes appeared, glowing brighter than any other. A partner soon span into his arms and they were off. His white hair drifted as if he was submerged in the deep, his partner glistened with gold. Dressed as a Pharaoh of old, he was dipped and lifted as they danced.
Another soon joined them, dressed in a Victorian ballgown. As one separated the other took their place, and despite there only ever being two people holding one another it was clearly a three person dance.
More joined, all dancing differently and yet somehow all fitting the music. It was beautiful, it was magical, and it was being seen by thousands of people all over America. This was not what Landon had in mind.
Hours went by as the glowing dancers enjoyed themselves in the skies above what could only be Amity Park, seemingly empty with not a single living person in sight outside of those in the sky. The sun rose and the fog faded, the music fading out and coming to an end.
The dancing stopped. They looked around and the odd trio of before came forward. They bowed, seemingly to the camera, and the other dancers followed. Hundreds dropped into bows before rising simultaneously. As the sun began to hit them the group faded out, the original three beginning their dance again as the others vanished from view. After all were gone and only the three were left they looked towards the fading stars and sighed. They too, began to fade away.
Nothing happened on this strange livestream for a long moment, then a small voice whispered "Happy Samhain to both those still here and those who have departed" and the livestream cut out.
Landon was in shock, as were many other people. It seemed Paulina hadn't been lying about their local hero as one of the dancers vaguely matched her description. She was still lying about dating him though, she was not one of his dancing partners. The rest, he admitted, might be true though. Weird stuff was going on in Amity park, a city in the middle of nowhere Illinois.
However if she was telling the truth then something much more concerning came to mind. It was clear that no one, not even the Justice League if their posts online reassuring people they would look into the livestream meant anything, knew about what had been happening over there. Someone was covering up this city, going as far as trying to erase it from existence, and someone's head was going to roll for this. Landon sighed, cracked his knuckled, and texted the find the missing city groupchat.
"We're totally getting to the bottom of what the heck just happened right?" His phone soon began to buzz with others affirming. Landon smirked, after all he still had to prove Paulina was a filthy liar.
~Day 3 ~ Potential ~
All it takes is one mistake, one bad choiceâŠ
Bruce had been walking out of the WE building when he spotted a child who could fit right in at Wayne Manor looking around. Determining he was probably lost, Bruce approached him and tapped his shoulder. The boy turned around.
"Daddy?" he asked.
Can I expand on this and make this unnecessarily dramatic?
I'm doing it anyways.
Rambling ahead.
Danny just got temporarily deaged by a Desiree wish gone wrong; he'll go back to remembering and turning back into a teenager in like three weeks.
In the meantime, he's wandering the streets of Gotham, lost and confused, fuckin all of six, and thinks Bruce is Jack.
Bruce tries to run a DNA test, but it comes back as super corrupted every time.
With Lazarus Water.
So he's like.
This is another kid. This is one of my kids. He was dumped in the Pits so much it's fucked him over genetically.
Because Ra's is obsessed with the Wayne family (two Waynes specifically but hey) and there's really only one reason he'd allow a rando to be dumped in his precious Pits.
If they were related to Bruce or Tim.
And this kid has more resemblance to Bruce than Tim. (It's because Bruce actually resembles Danny's dad, which is who he's reflecting, but semantics)
Danny's six and scared and this dude actually isn't his dad, but he's scared that if he says that then he'll be kicked back out onto the streets.
Over the course of two weeks they get closer and closer; having to interact with a six year old on a regular basis is forcing Bruce to come out of his shell. The rest of the family loves him. Damian is horribly attached, and has taken it upon himself to "Teach Daniel how to best manipulate his brothers".
Bruce has the fake paper trail set up and ready to be deployed.
They're about to announce their newest member.
Then the two weeks are up.
Danny, sitting in the library while the family just lazes about around him, suddenly remembers. He also realizes what is about to happen.
And he is so fucking embarrassed.
He was tucked into bed! He was hugged by some dude who he convinced was his father! He was fed from a plate!
When Jason had tried to jumpscare him he'd actually broken down into a sobbing wreck!
And these were the richest people in Gotham!
So he just.
Poofs.
Out of existence.
Once he's out of the house he's popped back into being a teenager again and just fuckin books it for Amity.
To the Waynes it looks like he freezes. Looks at them. Starts to hyperventilate. Looks fucking terrified. Looks at his hands.
His hands start to turn invisible.
Then he's just gone.
May I sprinkle in some more drama? Also i know nothing about tech so don't @ me
They were not going to take this lying down.
That was their boy, damnit, and they were going to find him.
Unfortunately, they had only one lead, which was the blood sample. Fortunately, it was a blood sample. No matter how much the DNA was corrupted, that had to count for something, right?
And if it didn't, well, then they'd just have to go and ask Ra's in person.
Tim shuddered even thinking about it. He really hoped the blood sample would give them something.
So far they hadn't had any luck, though. Not a single database held a sample even remotely as fucked up as the one in their possession.
He was just checking out a case from years ago, where a college student had been taken up in the hospital with what seemed like a somwhat similar form of corruption in his blood - though this was an adult man years ago, with nowhere near the same levels of green, and it only showed how desperate he was to find something but he has to find something - when out of the blue, Oracle ended his suffering.
"I've got a match."
"How much of a match?" Bruce asked, hastily making his way to the computer.
"A perfect one."
"Oracle, you're an angel."
"Tell me something I don't know, Nightwing."
"Everyone, focus. Oracle, what have you found?"
"Other than the sample match? Nothing yet, Batman. It's from a heavily guarded database, that has an external layer of encryption covering it. Clearly, there are multiple people who don't want us to find it."
"And now in English, for thos who don't know what that means?"
"Jesus, Red Hood, you've got to update your tech knowledge. Basically, you've got the protection from the database itself. Someone else externally reinforced that protection, making it even harder to find. But considering how they've left a back door into their system for their own use, i wouldn't say they're allies. Would have been really hard to find, too, if i'd have been anyone but myself."
"Yeah yeah, you're a genius, how about you focus on actually finding the kid instead of stroking your own-"
"OKAAAY hey we're all tense here-" Nightwing interjected, physically dragging Red Hood to the side. "How about we all take a deep breath and take a moment to cool down, wile RR and Oracle can do their thing, yeah?"
"Do we know whether these people have a base of operation?" Batman interjected, taking the attention off Jason and Dick. While they stood a small distance away, the others' attention turned back to the screen.
Tim appreciated the diversion. Ever since the boy had disappeared, everyone had been on edge. The only one who didn't show it was Cass, but he wasn't fooled. She had become attached to the boy, just like the rest of them. Hell, even Alfred seemed tense.
"I'm decoding their files now. I've found some logistics files which indicate that they have several bases, but I think they have one main hub."
"Won't do us a lot of good if we don't know where-"
"Calm down, Damian, she only just found the files."
"Names, Signal, though I agree. Give them some time, Robin."
"Time?" Robin snarled, turning to his father. "He's six, and out there alone! We don't have time! For all we know, he's already d-"
"Illinois."
They turned back to the screen at Oracle's interruption. "It's in Illinois. I'm sending you the exact location. And Robin?"
"What."
"Breathe."
Rpbin did just that, frown still etched on his face. Tim could see the kid's shoulders drop an inch. As Robin took a moment to collect himself, gravitating closer to Dock and Jason as he did, Tim turned back to his screen. While Oracle had been trying to find a location, Tim had been focussing on the files surrounding the blood samples.
To put it mildly, he didn't like what he found.
He didn't like it at all.
Name: Phantom_PH001
Status: ghost, deceased entity (TBC)

Lab results: Log July 18 [link]. Log July 19 [link]. Log July 20 [link]. [...] Log August 3 [link].
Most recent contact: containment breach from facility, August 4, 2AM. No sightings since.
Tim felt his stomach sink. August four. That was little over two weeks ago, right before Bruce found the kid.
"Uhhh Batman?" Tim spoke up, interrupting the conversation going on behind him, "You might want to see this."
While his father read the details of the file he's found on Danny (was this Danny? It couldn't be, but - what else could it be?) he felt the gravity of the situation sink in.
Had they been taking care of a ghost all this time? Was Danny dead?
Damian's words came back to him. For all they knew, Danny could be dead.
But that wasn't possible, was it? Deadman was a ghost, but he wasn't visible. Let alone that he could eat, sleep or be tucked in at night.
Tim's head was spinning with the implications.
Had Phantom taken over the body of a six year old? Or was something else going on?
And who the hell had experimented on him??
As his cursor hovered over the first link to the lab log in the hope do find out more, Bruce's hand stopped him.
"You won't be reviewing this footage."
"What?! Bruce, I can-"
"Names, Red Robin. And yes, you can. But we need to focus, and we are already emotionally implicated in this. We will be sending this image to Zatanna and Martian Manhunter for review. They will let us know what we need to. In the meantime, we focus on what we can learn from their archive of natural encounters. Maybe we'll find a location there."
Tim sighed, but did as he was told. Under his scrutiny and the tenseness of the situation, all he could do was forward the files to the watchtower. Where, Tim knew, Batman would still be reviewing them himself. The hypocrite.
"Already on it, Batman" Oracle piped in.
"The person on the images doesn't look like our Danny, like, at all, but the location is mostly the same; Amity Park, Illinois. Coincidentally, it's not too far away from their base, which was built after their first contact with this so-called Phantom. Also, heads up: I don't know what kind of cover-up is going on here, but Amity park is Crazy hard to find. Someone clearly doesn't want us to investigate this place."
Batman grunted.
"Not hard to figure out why" Jason interjected, joining them again with Dick and Damian on either side. "Danny needs to get his pit corruption from somewhere, and we know they pop up in random placed from time to time. If Phantom and our Danny are two seperate people, then odds are even bigger that there's a Lazarus Pit there."
"And if they're the same?" Tim whispered, still rattled from what he's found.
Jason's eyes narrowed.
"Then we might just have found our boy."
They watched some of the files on the plane. They had hoped it would give them some answer on what was going on.
The file started with a white haired boy. Young, younger than Damian's 16, and glaring at the screen. Hatred was clear in his expression. Whoever held the camera was despised by this boy. He stood in a defensive position in front of another entity. Many of the other "natural encounters" followed the same pattern. Fighting, fleeing, shielding, all in defense of another.
In another area Zatanna and Martian Manhunter were watching the multitude of experiments being carried out on the same young boy, the same ghost. Things were horrifying but it was the final video, on that was well hidden and required intervention to recover for them to see. It was another experiment.
"Initiating test 657, core retrieval attempt 18, subject Phantom_PH001. Electricity will be used in an attempt to gain a response from core in defence. Beginning procedure."
Sparks lit the screen and the boy began screaming.
"Attempt one fail. Increasing frequency." And the screaming began again.
And so it continued. It made them wonder what was special about this clip, it wasn't any different from the others so far so why was it so well hidden? It wasn't until the last five minutes of the video that the question was answered.
"Electricity failure. Now using combined effects. Test one, electricity full voltage and substance A19z. Begin testing." Again there was sparks, screaming, but this time things ended differently. The screams grew younger. There was a flash of bright light and the scientists were thrown back, many becoming impaled on the surgical instruments scattered around the room.
It was what was on the table that made them gasp, however. A young boy, crying, similar facial features to the ghost that had been tortured. There was a significant difference though. This boy, he was alive. Whoever these bozos where, messing with the dead, they had done the impossible. They had successfully managed to resurrect a ghost. There was more screaming, a green flash of light opening behind the boy and then he was gone. The clip stopped soon after. The two watching shared looks and immediately contacted the Batplane. Bruce had to know about this.
Back in Amity Danny had just got home to see no one had noticed he was gone. His parents were still in the lab, Jazz was gone, Sam and Tucker were visiting family and he had gone unnoticed. Something deep within him throbbed at the thought. Danny continued on to his room. A nap would help, he thought, he just needed some rest. The teen ignored the part of him crying out, missing his new family, they wouldn't want him like this anyway.
His nap didn't last long before being interrupted. Clockwork hovered over him, speaking before he could even wake up fully.
"I'm sorry Danny, I know you don't want this." Danny began to panic, something in the old ghost's tone scared him but he found he couldn't move. "The timeline is heading down a dark path, towards your true ending and despite myself I am fond of you. You being gone is not something I am willing to allow. Not anymore. This is for the best, you'll be happy and I'll see you soon though you won't remember me. You'll remember them though. they'll be good to you and your parents will go away for a long time. This won't hurt, I promise, and your powers will be weaker for a while but you'll grow into them stronger than ever. I wish you the best and I'll see you in two months. It shouldn't take me longer than that to arrange things. Now, back down we go." Clockwork poked him in the chest and time began to rewind for the halfa, or so it seemed. It took some careful work to place him back to the age he had been with the Waynes, to also ensure he retained his memories and fondness of them whilst also remaining his half ghost self but it was certainly doable. Another, more selfish, thing Clockwork ensured Danny kept was his fondness for himself. He knew the young half ghost wouldn't remember him, ever, those memories were gone for good, but he made sure the feeling remained. The affection. It was almost better this way, the inherent distrust was gone now and he didn't remember the threats to end him if he went down a dark path.
This was a much better timeline than the one things were heading down, with Danny being disowned and hurt by his parents and being ended through blood blossom exposure. Clockwork was far from impartial now and he wanted Danny to live, thrive and settle, eternally in balance as he stood on the line between life and death.
He would through a fit when he stopped ageing in his twenties though, but that reveal was a while off.
DP x DC Prompt #4
When they all convene at the cave, Alfred is silently wrapping Dick's knuckles. Damian hovers beside him. Tim and Barbara are hunched over the batcomputer, not even sparing Bruce a glance as he strides over.
"Report," Batman grunts. No one reacts.
"Report!"
"Hood pushed his panic button at 2:34 AM," Barbara says shortly, straightening.
The button had been a joke, mostly because Jason would never use it and everyone knew it.
"I patched into his comm at 2:35. This is what I heard initially." At her nod, Tim presses play. What occurs next is a garble. There is the sound of high winds, as if Hood is rushing through the air, even though the comms are designed to filter out any ambiance otherwise the Bats would never hear each other. Interspersed is a mixture of static punctuated by high, inhuman screeches of metal and something else unknown.
"This goes on," Barbara says after thirty long seconds, switching it off. "Red Hood failed to respond to any attempts at contact. I dispatched Nightwing to Hood's location at 2:36 AM. He was approximately two miles away." She pulls up a GPS map of their respective locations, their beacons blinking.
"At 2:41 AM, Red Hood's comm goes off, as does his GPS," Barbara says, swallowing softly as the red beacon indicating Jason disappears. "Nightwing arrives at 2:42 AM."
Dick doesn't say anything, head hanging low as he grips the metal table he sits on. Damian glances between the two of them, expression flat but fists clenched.
"Nightwing, report."
"..."
"Scene was empty, B," Tim speaks up. "No trace of Hood, no sign of a struggle. No cameras in the alley. We've been checking the ones nearby but so far there's no sign of anyone but Hood heading in that direction...and no one, Hood included, caught in the cams heading out, not within that time frame."
"So he's still in the area," Batman concludes. "The local buildings?"
"All the entrances have cameras, which showed no evidence of Hood nor any evidence of being tampered with," Barbara says. "Nightwing, Red Robin and Robin canvased within a half mile radius to check for any signs of disturbances in any of the windows or rooftops but found no evidence to support Hood being taken. A scan confirmed several serial offenders, but when interviewed and searched there was no sign of Hood. Several in the area reported an unusual quiet for Crime Alley."
Batman forces the next question out. "Did you check the dumpsters?"
"Yes," Nightwing grits out. "Empty."
Barbara clears her throat. "I have attempted to reconnect to Jason's GPS and comm as well as restart both remotely but there's no signal at all. The thing is, when there's a disruption like that it usually leaves some sort of sign" she pulls up the audio waves, pointing at the end where the spikes conform into a straight line that makes everyone deeply uncomfortable. Upon playing, the noise from before plays before going abruptly silent. "But there is no large spike, this is clean. It just ends. His GPS is much the same. It's not off, it's just gone."
"I know you don't like to hypothesize this early on, B, but we think this involves a meta," Tim says, rewinding the audio. "We've been running the audio from Jason's comm through different filters, playing with the levels and isolating what we can and, well, take a listen--"
The screeching drops to a sort of muffle and in the background, distantly, they can hear bits of Jason's voice.
"No, I'm not---"
"--don't need--"
"get AWAY from--"
a particularly desperate yell that makes Tim flinch, "I am NOT--!"
and almost a whimper that makes Batman's blood run cold, "please..."
And then, unfairly clear even through the faint garble, Jason says "I don't have a choice, do I."
And a minute later, quietly: "Ok."
The audio cuts off.
The defeat in Jason's last words is palpable, and fundamentally wrong. Jason has never sounded defeated a day in his life, and no one knows how to process Red Hood all but giving his hands over for the cuffs. Nightwing pushes himself off the table.
"I'm going back out there," he growls. No one tries to stop him as he stalks out the cave, not even Alfred.
"I will accompany Nightwing, make sure he does not punch any more walls." Damian says, nodding tightly.
"B?" Barbara asks.
"Keep working on it. See if you can identify what could be making those noises if Hood was standing still in an alley," Batman says, walking towards the zeta tube. "I'm going to make a few calls."
I read this and had the thought that what if it wasn't Danny that took him? The kids busy, finally managing to get his grades up, his parents accepting him and wanting to know about ghosts to correct their research, learning about the realms and politics and his role in all of it. Why would he be the one to fetch a young dead being who needed a doctor. That isn't a role for kings. Instead it was a well meaning yeti.
After Danny defeated Pariah a lot of things changed. The man was a dictator. Cruel and merciless and his rules reflected that. One of his rules meant the doctors of the far frozen couldn't fulfill their role and offer medical care to realms residents that needed it. If someone asked them they could help but they were forbidden from offering. Danny's coronation changed that. With the help of Clockwork and the Ghost Writer he was taken out of time, all rules and limitations enforced by the previous kings were reviewed. Some were reworded to better reflect their meaning, some were kept as they were good ideas, but a large chunk of them were dismissed. Many ghosts felt a release of pressure on their cores as the edicts binding them were released and they could finally act freely. The far frozen took advantage of this. They found the list of new dead and spread out, going from oldest, who may have been suffering the longest, to newest who they hoped could wait. It took many years and they were afraid they would never catch up but eventually they were treated and they reached the last few decades of the dead. Many had been found to have not crossed over to the realms and were stuck on earth and they were retrieved to be taught of themselves and their new people. It made tracking them all down harder. Eventually they reached a curious case "Jason Peter Todd - Wayne / Robin. 15. Temporal anomaly resulted in partial resurrection, corruption infected core, resides in living realms. Not a ghost. Not a neverborn. Not a Mirrorborn. Potential revenant. Corruption cleanse needed for further identification" Normally the file simply said what type of entity the patient was, be it ghost, zombie, skeleton, Dragur, Lich, revenant, neverborn, godborn or one of the many other residents of the realms. It didn't often say what one wasn't. The poor child must be suffering from some terrible corruption from nearly the time of his raising for the database to not know what type of entity he was. It had managed to exclude some. He wasn't what the mortals called a clone, such a terrible term, nor was he a ghost or a halfa as the two were intertwined, but what he was remained a mystery. All they could do was find out. The tribes of the far frozen sent out a yeti to go and retrieve the young one for treatment and had been warned of the potential resistance. The poor boy could probably barely think, let alone consent to treatment, which meant they had to take him. Joseph the yeti set out to retrieve the child and treat him before turning him over to the child eduction centres so he could be properly educucted on the realms and trained in any potential abilities the youngling may have. He hated having to force being into the medical centres but with the corruption having gone untreated for so long there was a risk of soul loss, one losing their sense of self and becoming a feral beast needing ot be contained and he wanted to get there before the infection got too far.
After a few weeks and an argument he was happy to report a success. The child was withdrawn and fought against coming at first but he was sure that with treatment the sickness he could feel oozing from him would be healed. And looking after the dead was their role after all.
What if Danny is also sent to those classes and meets Jason their but isn't t bound to them as often like Jason is
So when Jason learns this he asks Danny to take a message to his family for him
Danny, as the guy introduced himself as, stares at him for a few seconds, slaps his forehead with a startling amount of force and just groans.
"Did they forget to tell what the hell is happening after the treatment???" The teen all but whines.
Jason could only sit and blink. All he asked was to pass on a message to his family, which he will most likely never see again.
"They didn't," his occasional deskmate concluded. "Alright, well-meaning but slightly socially stunted Yeti aside, here's what's happening. And I'm so sorry this wasn't relayed to you at all."
The teen sat up straighter.
"You are currently in the Infinite Realms. The realms where all of the Afterlifes and more combine-"
"So I was told..."
"Shush. I'm bad at explaining. And the new King was sorting through thousands of cases that were left unattended by the previous one. Yours was one of them. The King has a program where cases like yours get help and then sent on their way if that place is important to them."
Jason stared at the tired looking kid, traitorous hope blooming in his chest.
"I'm... going to go back? If I ask?"
"Uh, kinda? After you're done with classes and education on your powers, who you are now and what things you need to do take care of yourself, they will ask you what you want to do." Danny nodded, his snow white wisp of hair bobbing with the motion.
All of the tention Jason didn't know was there left his body slumped on the desk. Tears of relief nearly spilling out into the world of the Dead and Undead. He felt a hesitant hand pat his back and couldn't help a wet chuckle that escaped him.
"So...uh... do you still want me to send a message? I can do that..." he was offered.
...
..
Jason sat up. Thought over the idea.
"How long am I going to be here for again?"
"If all would be alright with your recovery and learning, then I'd say a month or two?"
"Then yes, please."
Needless to say, the second Jason realised he wasn't in danger or even trapped, he decided to mess with his family. Not too much. He still wanted them to know he was ok. Just a little bit
-------
Danny stares at the letter in his hands as he sat in his throne room.
He had already reprimanded the responsible Ghosts, the poor Yeti was close to tears. He didn't even THINK that it would be an information the young patient would be so agonised over! No wonder his Core was refusing to heal!
Anyway, now Jason seemed to be doing better.
And Danny has to figure out a way to deliver a message without freaking out the Batman and the Birds too much. In person this time, thank you Tuck.
"I'm sorry to invade your privacy and home but there's been a bit of a situation regarding a friend of mine and a rogue" (you can describe Joseph the yeti as a rogue right?) Danny was desperately trying to stay calm as weapons were pointed at him, but either war he made sure to remain intangible. "It's a bit of a mess and now we're all stuck in it. Can you put the weaponry down and we can talk?"
This was not how Danny wanted to introduce himself to the Waynes, let alone how he wanted to deliver Jason's letter, but it seemed to have worked out this way. He blamed Joseph for pushing him through a portal to Wayne Manor, the poor yeti was eager to make up for his mistake and didn't think things through. However, it left him stuck in a bit of a rut as the members of the family pointed weapons at him in their living room.
"Why are you here then?" One of the blue eyed boys asked, seriously did this family have a theme? He thought most were adopted.
"To deliver a letter." Danny thought he'd keep it nice and simple. Hopefully that wasn't threatening.
"From who?" Another blue eyed boy asked, this one with dark circles.
"I believe his name is Jason." Instead of relaxing they all tensed further.
"Jason was kidnapped over a week ago, are you telling me you are responsible?" The old man stepped forward as the others continued to aim their weapons at him.
"Oh stars no, but because of anothers actions I have become involved. Put down the weapons and I will explain." They slowly put their weapons away and looked at him expectantly.
"My species have been around since the beginning. We don't often interact with the mortal realms and prefer to stay out of it." Danny was being careful in his explanation whilst staying truthful. People had weird hang ups about his age and treated him differently when they found out he was royalty, so he didn't tell them. None of his subjects did. New ghosts didn't know who their king was and mortals especially were kept in the dark. He didn't want the chaos of summonings if they knew his name. There were records of him from ancient times but it would take some serious digging to find them.
"We were ruled by a tyrant, who centuries ago we forced into an eternal slumber. However his rules remained, his edicts were binding and several of us were unable to fulfil our roles as we should. He even created a council to watch over us and make sure we were obeying his rules or we would be punished, be it through total destruction or some imprisonment. The punishment depended on them. They grew to like this power and even assisted in sealing away their master, as with him gone they would be the ultimate authority as they were the enforcers of the kings edicts. Eventually someone thought to release him and a war began. Our throne is not inherited through bloodlines but through acceptance from the realms. Another was accepted as king after the defeat of the old one and he sought to review and revoke the tyrannical rules of his predecessor. He allowed people to do their duties without risk of sanction. This included the doctors. Our doctors our bound by oath, but not in the way mortal ones are. Theirs is truly binding, they are to help all who are brought to them and cannot release them until they are truly healed. This is how your Jason came to be in their care. Another took advantage of this and he was handed to them unconscious. They were told he had a form of corruption on his soul and was knocked out for his own good. They immediately began treatment and their oath came into effect. It was only after he awoke from the first set of treatments he let them know he was not there willingly. Which leads to the current dilemma. They cannot release him until he is fully healed, mortals are not welcome in the realms of the dead and his family were preparing to storm my home to get him back. I am friends with the chieftain of the healers tribe and he is distraught about the emotional damage another has made him complicit in. I am one of the few residents of the realms who can travel between realms unhindered, who would not be challenged and could safely communicate with you. We spoke of the issue to Jason and he wrote this letter to you to confirm his health and safety. It is now up to you. The living cannot come to the deathly realms without great harm and the kings permission. I cannot take you to him. I also do not wish to say the punishment the oath with inflict upon my old friend if he were to deny it and allow your child to be released before he is fully healed. I value family and do not wish to cause yours any great stress but I cannot break the ancient rules, no matter my age or power. And so it is up to you. The corruption on his soul has been there for nearly a decade at best guess and has sunk in deep. It will take a while to deal with it. There are also other issues. Jason has given me permission to be told of his medical history and a request to speak of it to you. It's an issue but one we can hopefully work with." Danny ended his explanation there. He could elaborate in a minute but he thought it better they read Jason's letter first before he got into the medical histories. He held it out.
Bruce had had a trying few days. His son had been kidnapped. They could find no trace of him and now a glowing being had claimed he had been used as a way to harm a group of doctors. Not only that but he was in the afterlife if the realms of the dead wasn't a lie and he wasn't allowed to see him. Days of stress, worry and fear and now he was supposed to simply trust this had all been a misunderstanding? He wanted his son back. He had lost him once. Bruce didn't want to lose him again.
Yet, if the glowing boy was telling the truth then was it right to take his anger out on them? If his son had been a tool used to target a group of healers by someone who was angry at what sounded like a regime change and a loss of power then the fault lied with them. Combined with the magical vow, and whilst his knowledge of magic was irritatingly limited he had been informed about the danger of vows and deals, then everyone was stuck.
"I want to read the letter first. If what your saying is true then I want to know more about the one who took my son. Your healers may be innocent but I want to know about those who are angry at their loss of power. Who would benefit from turning me, and potentially my team, against you? I want to know about the risks to my children."
Danny simply smiled and handed over the letter. He let them read it and thought through the potential responses. Despite them thinking that they were asking about one person, the one who took Jason and those who could be angry, in reality they were two different groups. It would take some careful wordplay but Danny was good at that after so long dealing with the denizens of the realms. He could even swear it, tell them he would let them know about the people they were speaking of, whilst speaking of two separate groups. Tell them about Joseph whilst also letting them know about those who could and would threaten his children.
Danny felt slightly bad about misleading them but honestly? His people came first and he would not risk the Yeti's, not his truest and dearest friends in all the realms, even if it meant misleading the heroes of this dimension. This wasn't his home realm, he had learnt his lesson about prioritising that which was his a while ago, and it wasn't like he would be lying to them. Simply telling some very careful truths. If they misunderstood? Well that was on them and it wasn't like it would hurt them to know about the actual threats aimed at them for being the family of his newest friend rather than threatening one well meaning yeti.
Unknown, the Wandering Hero
So! We all know the typical Vivisection AU, right? Danny is revealed to his parents and they take it in all the wrong ways. They capture him, Vivisect him, and eventually he manages to escape with the help of his friends.
But what about his Rouges?
Sure, we all like to think of some of the more friendly ones like Ember, or Sydney, or Johnny 13 and Kitty, but he has WAY more Evil Rouges than good ones.
Without Danny there to reign them in, the Rouges spread out across the world to fulfill their obsessions, unhampered by the Heroes and Villains of the world that have no means to fight them.
And Danny? He feels responsible. He was the one to open the Gate, he was the Sacrifice, the one to let them through. And when the going got tough he just up and left? No, that won't do.
His Obsession is Protection for a reason, and nothing has changed. All he needs to do is expand his area of focus a little.
Danny, after healing up, starts wandering the world in search of the Ghosts who have escaped into the Mortal Realm. He battles all of his old foes, as well as many new ones who he hadn't met before.
His travels take him far and wide.
He defeats Skulker in Metropolis, as he is trying to hunt down the Super Family for their pelts. They are the last of their race after all, so he is inclined to try and hunt them. Honestly dealing with Skulker was easy, dealing with the Rich Asshole who was funding him was a nightmare.
He chases down Spectra in Gotham as she tries to feed on the misery of an entire City. (Thanks to @impyssadobsessions for the idea, this Prompt specifically). She is actually a very tough fight, especially powered by both the Misery of an Entire City as well as his Own Misery, but he manages.
He defeats Technus is Central City, as he tries to Raid Star Labs for their advanced Tech. It actually took a while to beat him after he amped himself with all that Power, and he did need help from the Local Hero to deal with him. He's just thankful Technus is one of the more "Harmless" ones.
After every Victory, he sends them back to the Realms using the Banishing Spell that Sam taught him a while back (the only bit of magic he ever really managed to master).
He knows they'll eventually find their way back out, but it's all he can do anymore. It's his eternal Punishment for unleashing them out into the World in the first place. He was the Catalyst for this Situation, now he was tasked with Fixing it, no matter how long it took.
...
The Justice League is caught in a tricky situation a the moment.
In the past few months, they have been encountering more and more of these Extra Dimensional Beings known as Realms Ghosts across the World.
Justice League Dark has had some success in battling them, but even they are getting tired of having to deal with every single incident alone.
They did get approached by a Government Agency known as the Ghostly Investigation Ward that seemed to want to help, but it didn't take long to realize that their main Aim was to Genocide the entire Race. The JLA had quickly cut ties after realizing that, and took what little Tech and Information they had been able to gather.
Still, it wasn't easy to deal with these Entities.
Thankfully, they have had some outside help. An Unknown Being has been routinely showing up whenever a Realms Ghost appears and defeating them, before using a (as described by Constantine) "Rudimentary Banishing Spell held together by willpower and luck" to send them back to their home Dimension. There's honestly no way it should be functional, but he did make it work either way.
They don't know much about this Unknown, aside from the fact that he seems to be the only one able to consistently damage the Realms Ghosts. His Powerset leads them to belive he may be from the same Dimension, or at least drawing his power from the same Source, but as he actively avoids the League and takes every opportunity to not talk to them, they know they aren't getting any answers any time soon.
Over the past few months, they had affectionately started referring to him as Unknown, creative they know, because they could never get his Real Name. Sure, some of the Realms Ghosts seemed to recognize him, but they always called him stuff like "Whelp" and "Punk" and "Usurper", which were not very good names to use when referring to him. Although the last one was a bit concerning.
They had only managed to trade a few quick words with Unknown in the past few months, but it was enough to get the Gist of it. He was just doing his job, sending the Realms Ghosts back where they belonged. There was apparently a Tear in Reality letting them through, but he seemed hesitant to reveal what he knew about it.
After a few months of sparse interactions, they eventually managed to convince him to at least take an Emergency Communicator. Just in case. They even let him take it apart to look for any Tracking Devices, which earned them a small bit of trust. They took whatever wins they could.
Fortunately, it seemed he never did need it. In fact he was getting more and more efficient with every battle, defeating his foes in half the time it would have taken before.
Unfortunately, it didn't last forever. One day, the Communicator went off, a distorted voice quickly saying, "Need backup, some of them decide to Team Up" before cutting out.
They quickly rushed to his location, finding an active battlefield with no less that a dozen Ghosts battling Unknown. And he seemed to be on the ropes.
With their arrival, the combined force of the Justice League and Unknown eventually managed to defeat the Group of Ghosts. Justice League Dark volunteered to work on the Banishing Spells while the others cleaned up the damage from the Battle.
One of them approached Unknown to make sure he was ok, and froze.
During the battle, Unknown's Mask had been Torn off, and they could finally see the face of the Hero they had been working with for the past few months.
And he was a Child.
They learned more about him in the infirmary.
"I was a sacrifice." That one sentence froze them all as the young hero continued. "I thought it was an accident, that it was my fault I went into the portal. That I turned it on. It changed me, the rift, both life and death are possessive and neither wanted to let a linchpin go. So they share me, one foot on either side of the grave. I thought I hid it, hid the effects of the infinite realms until space fell onto my shoulders. I was wrong. They knew from the beginning. They knew that a sacrifice would be needed to open the portal. Knew that it changed me. They looked at the portal and decided their daughter was worth more than their son, their perfect little girl next to the failure, and offered me up. The scientist shot at me, targeted me, made me sit at their table whilst they talked about how they would rip me limb from limb, molecule by molecule. I thought it was fine, that they didn't know they were talking about me and I just had to show them the dead wasn't all bad. My mistake. They weren't best pleased I survived, any other wouldn't have after the weight of a dimension fell on their shoulders, but I had been conditioned from the womb. Accidentally conditioned, but conditioned none the less. They didn't take care and I had been ingesting and absorbing the essences of the realms since I first came to be and she recognised me. It's concerning when a dimension has more care for you than your own parents. That despite her desires she was willing to let life have some claim to me to prevent me from losing my mortal life. My parents watched through the cameras as I was changed by her embrace and returned as whole as she could make me. They thought me a nuisance but not a threat. Not until Pariah." The Unknown had stunned them all into silence as he went on, seemingly desperate to get this off his chest. Superman went to interrupt but Constantine shook his head. It was rare to get one of the realms residents to talk about their life, rarer still that they talk about their death. From the sound of it this was a baby ancient telling them their history, which was so rare it was practically unheard of. It was best not to interrupt. Let the child speak.
Does anyone know the name of a DPxDC post. I can't remember what it's called but in it Constantine summons Danny and he and Ember show up. He needs help defeating aliens and they're mad he interrupted rehearsal. They end up working together and the two of them beat them with music. I remember distinctly that Embers guitar connected to Danny's neck like a collar and her guitar changed colours. He complained about using his wail and it would result in a sore throat. I don't remember much more than that but does anyone know which post I'm talking about.
Underground
In every fic where Danny is somehow related to the Batfam (via Bruce, Talia, Jason, Dick, etc.) While trying to avoid them he always thinks about hiding out in the ghost zone, but never actually does it. And I crave it. ïżŒ
Imagine, family trying to find their long lost relative, and heâs fast but theyâre faster and theyâre catching up and soon /soon/ they will have a reunion and get to know him and heâll see that theyâre really not that bad and be part of the family where he belongs.
But then.
Nothing.
And they search and search, call up old contacts, travel far and wide but every lead is a dead end but they just keep trying because eventually-
And years go by, and occasionally they get an alert or see something in the corner of their eyes during patrol and they run because they canât miss him what if this is their only chance-
And itâs not him, itâs NEVER HIM. He could be dead for all they know or heâs gone completely into hiding and thatâs almost worse because are they really that bad? That awful?
(And Danny has been traveling in the ghost zone for maybe weeks, maybe years now, time is tricky where the laws of nature of different dimensions collide. Heâs gone universe hoping and done the ghostly equivalent of a college students gap year to see the world but heâs ready to go home and surely they have given up by now? Heâs not that important and heâs sure theyâve realized that after his time away so he leaves the ghost zone and-)
Ever since they had learned the truth about ghosts, Jack and Maddie had been tossing around the idea of an extended excursion into the Ghost Zone to research ghost society. However, they had decided to shelve the idea for the time being until Danny and Jazz were able to comfortably move out.
But with the current situation, Danny has convinced them to do it sooner. To⊠disappear from the world for a bit.
Because somehowâperhaps due to his college enrollmentâhe had been noticed.
He didnât actually know who they were or why they were looking into him, but considering his childhoodâs⊠entanglements, he doubted they were after anything goodâespecially considering their dedication. Heâd had Tucker erase as much info on him as he could from the internet, and then some strangers had shown up in town asking around about him.
Heâs very lucky Amity Parkers didnât trust strange outsiders.
So yeah. Vanishing.
With his parents safely out of reach in the Zone, Jazz far away at college (and her identity and trail obfuscated by Tucker), and a bunch of other Amity Parkers working together to erase any other traces of his life, it should be like âDanny Fentonâ never even existed.
Though he himself chose to stick around just a little longer. Not openly, of courseâthatâd ruin the whole point of the vanishing actâbut he watched over the town invisibly with his powers. His family should be safe from the pursuers, but he had to make sure his plan hadnât put his friends at risk either.
But after concluding the pursuers hadnât immediately cottoned to things and werenât going to immediately jump to torture, he let his friends bully him into finally leaving. Better not to risk getting seen; heâd already had a couple potentially close calls thanks to a (probable) Meta on the stalkersâ team. They could still contact him with the Fenton Phones of course, but aside from that, he would be out of his stalkersâ reach.
And thus, Danny Fenton quietly slipped through a portal and out of reality.
âŠcompletely unaware of the growing chaos among the Bats in the wake of his absence.
The batcomputerâs security is top notch. Even if it wasnât entirely breached, the fact that an unknown hacker had been able to get so far was highly concerning.
And not long after, the lost brother theyâd just started looking into had seemingly vanished from the face of the Earth.
Did the hacker find out about their interest in Danny and decide to target him to hurt them? Did they get their new brother killed before they could even meet him? Or maybe he was kidnapped, and is currently being held captive somewhere while they scramble around looking for clues in the holes left behind.
They canât stop looking. If Danny had gotten hurt because of them, they wonât be able to live with themselves.
The alternative possibility, that Danny was avoiding them of his own free will, never even crossed their minds, too unwilling to consider the idea that he might reject them.
But no matter how much they searched, the trail remained cold. They canât find even a hint of a villain responsible. The most they get is a few occasional pings from facial identification systems, easily dismissible as false positives.
Well, that and the gut feeling that thereâs more to Amity Park. Not anything they can prove, but thereâs clearly something going on in the town.
At first theyâd thought that might mean the town had worked together to kill Danny and cover it up for some reason, but the evidence didnât seem to hold up to further scrutiny. As suspicious as people seemed, not even Cass could find hints of any signs of real malicious intent. If the residents knew anything, they were keeping quiet out of some form of good will rather than criminal conspiracy. Perhaps that meant they were being threatened by the kidnappers if they talked, but no one could get confirmation.
As the months dragged on with nothing but infuriating circles, they had almost given up. The investigation was going nowhere, and Gotham always needed their attention. Gradually, observations of Amity wound down.
And then, one random day, Danny was back.
Completely back. Amity Park barely seemed to react to his missing stint. Even many of the erased records were back to normal.
And moreover, he looked⊠good. Healthier than before, even. Not at all like theyâd expect after a kidnapping.
Well, either way, they could finally now introduce themselves and bring him in to the fold!
âAre you fucking kidding me,â Danny mentally swore the moment he opened the door and saw the people heâd gone into hiding to avoid standing on the other side.
The oldest man opened his mouth to say something, but Danny cut him off. âIâm not gonna join your cult, or pay whatever debt you think i inherited, or whatever the hell it is that you want. Fuck off.â
He tried to slam the door shut, but the man stepped forward so his leg blocked him. âI think we got off on the wrong foot, Danny. If you could just let us come inside and talk, Iâm sure we canââ
Danny grabbed the Fenton Creep Stick from its spot beside the door and swung it upwards, whacking the man in the stomach. He seemed more surprised than actually pained, but Danny used the opportunity to kick his leg out from the doorway.
âFuck. Off,â he growled out. Then under his breath he muttered, ânever should have come back to this dimension,â as he slammed the door shut and locked it.
Okay, but it's Cass. He's related to Cass. Through David Cain, bc that's the bitch who raised Cass so that's the only reason Danny would be known.
Like, Cass thought he was dead because that's what David told her. David decided to discard him because compared to Cass he was a failure. But David also didn't kill him because that's like still his kid or something, idk how idiots work.
And now the only reason the Bat's and Birdie's know about Danny is because David Cain couldn't keep his mouth shut and started taunting one of them about him. Your choice who.
So there's most of the batfam going: đ„șđ„șnew brother?đ„șđ„șbaby????baby brother?đ„șđ„șlittle brother??for free??đ„șđ„ș
And Danny is like: nonononono, nope, no thank you, absolutely not, no, not a single chance, nope, LEAVE ME ALONE
And then there's Damian in the background, after the case of the purple backed gorilla is known, going: It's going to be brother-in-law, because I never lose.
(The younger Damian is, the funnier this is. Like. Tiny little 12yo murder baby running after his first crush is adorable. Or awkward young teen 13-14yo Damian, just getting a teste of teenage hormones and already deciding he's in love. Just. All around hilarity)
Okay so compared to Cass he's a failure. He's been told he's a failure his entire childhood. He's internalised this, it's why he struggles so much with thinking he's as smart as the rest of his family. In this world lets make that known, his parents know he has issues with feeling inferior and had a bad family so had to spend more time with him. They spoke to psychologists, learnt how to help their new baby. They wanted to do everything they could so it resulted in them leanring everything they could about the subject. Ghosts took a break for a month, their baby needed them. This resulted in them taking a hard look at their research with this new information in mind. How can something be planning to overtake the world and be non-sentient? Some of their research didn't make sense. Every scientist makes mistakes, they just need to learn more. This resulted in no rip apart molecule by molecule, and after making the portal they gathered evidence and came to the conclusion ghosts were capable of thinking. Now a new line of study, one specially chosen so they could talk to Jazz about it afterwords. They had spent so much time talking about their interest so now they could link to hers. How does death and the afterlife affect ghosts mentalities and society? Hence the extended trip to the ghost zone.
Danny however, despite being not as good as Cass, is still damn good compared to everyone else. Lets say he is as good at fighting but falls behind in body language reading. This means he cannot predict his opponents like she can and therefore is beaten more often or makes mistakes in fights. He builds on this in the zone, learning new fighting styles in the different communities to bond with his new subjects and learn about them and their culture.
The bats, however, hear about this kid who was abandoned for being a failure in comparison to Cass. A kid who Cain is now taking an interest in as he's lost one weapon, may as well go back to the second choice. So they have it in their heads he can't fight and needs saving, part of the reason they're so desperate to track him down. Cass can barely remember him, they were raised separately so as not to form loyalty to each other instead of David Cain and only really saw each other every few years for a match, which she won. They were still fond of each other but didn't realise they were siblings, just the closest thing each had to a friend. Now she finds out she has a twin who's in danger, who she thought was dead, she wants to add him to her family.
Amity doesn't like these new comers who are after the small Fenton, he struggled so much when he first came here and had that period when the ghost attakc sstarted where he retreated sharply into his shell. He finally seemed to be doing okay again and now this lot was driving his family out of their homes. Combined with their bad experiences with the government and rich people and you get people who are very reluctant to help.
The Necromancer
DP x DC Prompt inspired by 'The Ghost Warlock' on A03 by Cas3_Blanca
The Justice League has been dealing with matters related to the Undead recently. And JLD could barely handle the undead. That is until Constantine had called in a favor from someone he knew. A young man in a black trench coat with a skeleton following him everywhere, that skeleton had a burned headband on it.
The young man is a necromancer, and he is very good at handling the matters of the undead. He just has a bit of disdain for the Justice League and keeps to himself whenever he is around any Justice League member. The only person he seems to trust is Constantine, as he doesn't even interact with the rest of the JLD members. The young man had told them that he's only helping because he owed Constantine quite a few favors, and once Constantine used up all those favors on helping the Justice League, he's done with them, which means he'll leave the Justice League and Justice League Dark to deal with the undead.
Danny's life was as good as it could get. His parents had accepted him as Phantom, Clockwork assured Danny that he doesn't have to be the Ghost King just yet, his grades are steadily rising, and he is scheduling fights with his Ghostly Rogues.
That is until the GIW had shown up again. They were in the process of isolating Amity when the entire city fought back against them.
There were a few casualties, which mostly consisted of people Danny is close to. His parents, Jazz, Sam, Tucker, Valerie, Dash, Mr. Lancer and Star had perished during the struggle, and only those close to Danny hadn't become Ghosts. There wasn't enough to recover from them. Danny only has a few things to remember them by. His mom's Goggles, his dad's fudge recipe, Sam's bracelet, Tucker's PDA, and Valerie's earrings. Jazz was the only one to be buried, as she still had a body that wasn't vaporized.
He tried looking for Dani and Vlad but learned from Technus that they were captured and ended by the GIW. Now, the only person he has to lean on is his "Uncle" Constantine.
Constantine has helped Danny many times during his first years as Phantom. That's why Danny owes Constantine so many favors. He had tried to call help from the Justice League whenever Constantine wasn't around, but he was just brushed off. Hence why he doesn't like helping the Justice League's undead problems. He had also asked Technus to put his information and anything else related to him under lock and key. He doesn't want the Justice League to access and have files of his information. He's got Jazz's skeleton with him because he's taken up the role of Ghost King, and it came with Pariah's ability to raise a skeleton army if need be, but he only uses it on Jazz and other nearby buried bodies to help him deal with undead that aren't Ghosts. He also doesn't want to show his Ghostly half to the Justice League.
He's gotten quite good at hiding his mental presence from the Martians on the Justice League, but some of his emotions and thoughts slipped through. Now, the Justice League is being annoying to him by trying to apologize to him for whatever it is they did to him so they could still rely on him for any undead related issues.
Danny sighed as he saw another of the League of Hypocrites coincidentally walking into the room with him and Uncle Connie. Was them leaving him alone too much to ask? Did he need to put up with another insincere apology from the group looking for a more permanent attack dog?
Danny knew they weren't apologising because they felt bad, quite the opposite. Some of these individuals were very haunted and more than a few of their ghosts didn't like the one they were bound to. They were perfectly willing to report what they were saying when they thought no one could hear them. Many were irritated at Danny. How dare he refuse to help them, didn't he know everything they did was for the greater good? Sure, apparently they did something to earn his ire but no one knew what it was. It probably wasn't that big a deal anyway and they were certain they had a reason for whatever happened. And wasn't that boy arrogant, all that power and refusing to dedicate his life to helping others like a good person would. Maybe they should keep a close eye on this contact of Constantine's, everyone knows his people are shady.
Danny had heard it all and oh did their arrogance bug him. This little League of theirs had gone so long being the big boys, had been told for so long that they were good, moral and just they had come to believe they could do no wrong. At least some of them. Pride choked him whenever he had to spend extended periods of time around the idiots and the half-ghost could not wait until his honorary Uncle had used up all of the official favours Danny owed him. He would happily leave them to deal with their own messes after that.
He continued on with his work pinpointing the source of the incomplete resurrections, or as everyone else was calling it the zombie apocalypse which was extremely overdramatic for a few measly corspes that couldn't even run, as one of the idiots dithered behind him. He didn't even know the name of this one but it wasn't worth learning. He wouldn't be here for long anyway.
Danny walked off to compare his findings with John as whatever-their-name-is opened their mouth to speak, be it to apologise or repremand him as both had happened over his unhappy stay with this lot, no matter what it was he didn't want to hear it.
Two more favours left and considering the rate they were being used he wouldn't need to deal with this lot for much longer. Danny gestured to the skeleton form of his sister to join him as he wandered to the other side of the room.
Villains had discovered the Leagues ineptitude when it came to dealing with the undead and were taking full advantage. The amount of death magic incidents had spiked, which was probably why they were trying to create bond and convince him to stay. The living couldn't deal with this magic, it was toxic to those who weren't born with an affinity and ironically the halfa was always capable of handling death magic. His ease with it had apparently only grown with his death, at least according to the denizens of the Realms. Anyone else who came into contact with it would die at best, be driven mad or worse.
Sadly for them there were no other people in this dimension with the ability to stand it. He knew, he had checked. Danny, Vlad and his sister were the only ones born recently with the affinity and according to Clockwork no one else would be born for around 700 years. Even Ellie couldn't handle much, hence her many issues, and required intervention from the king of the dead to stabilise. No mortal could impart such a thing and Danny certainly wouldn't give anyone such a blessing. Too bad so sad, Danny's ability to care had faded with his family. These dumbasses deserved it anyway and he was certain he could grab John and keep him safe if needs be. It wasn't like this was apocalypse level danger anyway, just a few shambling corpses, and the villains who were invoking them would begin dropping like flies soon enough. Toxic magic after all. The amount of zombies and other undead would be finite as those with magic learnt to leave necromancy alone.
He simply had to put up with them for a little bit more, then he could leave the hypocrites alone.
Annabeth: What's the most polite way to phrase "you fucked up big time and need to fix this now or else" in a professional email?
Percy: "Hello, I hope this email finds you before I do"
Iâm sure someones already said this but I often see Tumblr described as a hellsite. This is fundamentally incorrect.
Tumblr is the faesite. Everybody is super confused and lost, you keep running into random places. Somehow you end up stuck there forever after interacting a couple of times. The people are all strange, everybody simultaneously seems to be from the future and the past as if time is meaningless.
also technology breaks at random, and sometimes you just suddenly feel a thousand years old
everybody has a half dozen names and none of them are their ârealâ name.
which name(s) you know gives you different powers over them.
there are Rules but you mostly have to figure them out for yourself.
getting the Rules wrong or breaking them can cost you more than you ever even knew you had.
Maximum Horny at all times
be careful what you wish for or you just might get it
