Tony’s History: Avengers Assemble

After the whole incident with Obadiah, things started to get weird. Tony had lived a relatively normal life, for that of a transman at least, up until then. Because of the suit he'd built, he now seemed to be on the radar of an organization called the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division. To be honest though, once he started looking into what and who they were, they seemed to have their finger on the pulse of everything abnormal in this world. It seemed odd that they would seek him out.

Then again, Tony really never considered himself the superhero type. Neither did they, considering once they were officially able to sit down with him, labeling him volatile, self-obsessed and didn't play well with others. He'd nearly been about to argue with that, but then acquiesced. It had defined him to a T and he simply moved on, wondering how they could approve him for the project they'd presented to him but not approve him. Instead, the director Nick Fury said they wanted him as a consultant, to help them piece together the initiative. Really, Tony should have known even in that capacity, after becoming Iron Man, known that he'd be a part of the initiative anyway. It was bound to happen.

Many times, Tony found himself fixating on the fact that he was in fact a superhero now, just like Captain America was. He was Iron Man. Aside from the fact that he'd noted that the moniker wasn't exactly precise, that his suit was actually a titanium alloy, he did like the not so obvious detail about being called Iron Man. Being transgender, he had a certain affinity to what the periodic table element of the word. Fe for Iron, and then man=male. Iron Man was really the best depiction for Transgender Man and he loved it, working it into the transgender clothing and accessories sideline to complement the phallus prosthetic venture. It was pure genius.

While working on the Avenger initiative, Tony learned that S.H.I.E.L.D. had found Captain America frozen in ice and once they brought him up to speed, they wanted him for the Avengers Initiative as well. It was odd, somehow all the childhood fantasies started manifesting in his dreams again, both sleeping and waking. He remembered how when he really little, he'd imagine that he was like Captain Roger's sidekick, Bucky Barnes, and go on adventures with him. It was funny how he hadn't imagined himself to be a superhero back then, yet now he actually was one.

When he actually met Captain America face to face, things didn't seem to go how he'd imagined throughout the days after he'd learned he was alive until then. He had thought he'd be as obsessed with him as he had been when he was younger, but instead all his resentment toward his father seemed to channel itself toward Captain Rogers and they ended up on the wrong foot. It wasn't how he'd wanted their association to begin, but he hadn't done anything to stop it.

They worked extremely well together though. Just as Tony had predicted, he was not strictly used for his consulting capabilities, but for his usefulness as Iron Man as well. When Loki of Asgard attacked the city of New York, Captain America and Iron Man lead the newly formed Avengers in taking back the city and driving the invaders out. The whole team had worked very well together, despite being a motley crew. It just seemed to really work.

Meeting Bruce Banner had been a delight. His genius rivaled Tony's, but he was even more impressed by the fact that he literally was two different people. It was quite the Jekyll and Hyde situation, but the Hulk was actually pretty handy to have on the team. His IQ left little to be desired, but Banner definitely made up for that when he wasn't hulked out. Tony was glad to have him on the team and even more so to have someone around he could have a halfway decently intellectual conversation with.

Getting to know Natasha Romanoff had been interesting to say the least. When she showed up at Stark Industries, under an assumed identity, infiltrating the system so Fury could get intel on him, Tony nearly shit bricks. If he hadn't been dealing with palladium poisoning from his arc reactor at the time, things probably gone a whole lot differently. As it was, they helped him unlock the secrets that would lead him to discovering how to create vibranium to replace the core that had been killing him. All in all, he was glad to have someone with Natasha's skillset on the team.

Clint Barton… Tony was still trying to figure out how he thought about less lucrative Robin Hood. He seemed resourceful yet not all that practical. Then again, he seemed to be connected to Natasha in some odd way, which seemed a lot like a liability. Tony wasn't altogether certain if it was good to have them both on the team, and Natasha seemed like the more likely option to stay, but that call wasn't Tony's to make. Then again, it's not like they really had a boss, even if S.H.I.E.L.D. seemed to think they were the boss for all of them.

Having the God of Thunder show up was quite fortuitous, Tony realized. Certainly, it would have been lack of judgement on the Asgardians not to follow the deviant Loki to Earth and not try to stop him, but Thor showing up and making an alliance with the Avengers was definitely advantageous. It definitely saved Earth from having to figure out how to contact the Asgardians to come pick up their criminal. Then again, Earth's officials had wanted to keep him to stand trial there, but none of them were willing to go toe-to-toe with the Asgardian King, Odin the Allfather, a god, especially after not seeing what his children were capable of doing.

Tony's History: Never Again

The longer he was on T, the less dysphoric he felt. There were times he still had his moments, especially when people would intentionally misgender him, knowing that he would never measure up in everyone's eyes, but for the most part, he lived a happy existence as a man. He could use a public restroom without getting the stink eye. People who didn't know he was trans saw him as a man. If he always kept his packer on, he never even felt that he was lacking, not with the prosthetic he'd designed for himself. If he didn't know he hadn't been born a man, he wouldn't even know himself.

For the most part, even the many people he slept with, aside from what lay behind the prosthetic, no one could tell the difference with him even naked except for his labia that perfectly hugged the prosthetic in place. There were only a few select people in his life who knew what he looked like without the prosthetic. With the videos that circulated through the Internet of him and his many sexcapades, everyone who knew was familiar with Tony Stark and his fully functioning prosthetic that helped him feel just as though he'd been born with the right equipment and not had to make one.

He'd even turned it into a side venture of Stark Industries, much to Obie's exasperation. Transmen from across the globe could have their very own Stark Tech prosthetic for less money than bottom surgery. It was a marvel of the transgender community that Tony was particularly proud of, and not just because it pissed Obadiah off. He had to admit, pissing Obadiah off, especially with something regarding anything transgender related, was something he really got off on.

Of course, Obadiah always took his frustrations out on him sexually, demanding he remove the abomination every time. Tony always told himself in the moment, this time would be the last time, but Obadiah always seemed to weed himself into Tony's bed and into his pussy more times than he cared to admit. Though it wasn't as though anyone knew the type of relationship he had with his godfather. No one ever would. That was a secret he would take to his grave, one he thought he'd take sooner than he'd ever anticipated when he was abducted by terrorists.

He'd been visiting a U.S. Military encampment in Afghanistan where he had just given a weapons demonstration and was being escorted back to his private jet when the HUMVEE ahead of them hit an IED and they were instantly in a downpour of bullets and missiles. Tony had been told to stay in the vehicle, but he never listened to anyone and had scrambled away from the vehicle to try and message someone from his phone for help.

He'd just pulled out his phone and had started to contact someone not in the chaos, but then he heard a thud and crunch of something heavy landing on the ground beside him. Turning to see a Stark Tech missile there on the ground beside him, he panicked and jumped up to run and get as far away from the explosion, even knowing he wouldn't get far— which he didn't. He'd been wearing a bulletproof vest, but with the explosion being in such close proximity, he instantly felt the piercing of several pieces of shrapnel at his chest.

The pain and rapid blood loss had him passing out almost instantly. Over the next few hours, weeks, days, he still wasn't sure how long it was before he fully came too, he had come to and passed out several times. He had expected to wake up in a hospital, if he even though he'd survive that at all, but he hadn't expected to wake up to being in the hands of terrorists who expected him to replicate the exact weaponry he'd just demonstrated for the military who knew how long ago. He agreed, but had no plans to actually do what they'd asked.

Instead, and with the help of his fellow prison mate who said they had met before but had no recollection of the encounter, he built a suit to help them escape. Of course, all this was happening while he was dealing with the fact that he had an electromagnet strapped to his chest that was keeping the shrapnel the man who called him self Ho Yinsen hadn't been able to extract. He'd tried to lighten the situation by marveling that he'd finally met a man named Ho and his father wasn't alive to share that with him. It was funny the things you think of in life and death situations.

He had managed to break out of the terrorist clutches, but Yinsen had died helping him escape. He vowed then and there to become a better person. He had to for Yinsen, the first in a long line of deaths he was personally responsible for. The only thing that helped him feel better about the man's death is that when he had held him dying in his arms, he had told him that he was going to meet his family, that his plan had been to escape the terrorist clutches this way. It still hurt, but Tony understood.

In the metal armor he and Yinsen had devised, he'd blasted his way through many of the terrorists themselves before blasting himself up and away from where they held him captive. The suit was primitive at best and he'd barely gotten far enough away before crash landing and having to basically hitchhike to a place where his friend Rhodey and the military could pick him up.

He returned home and started to make a lot of changes, most of which that started to piss of Obadiah, but since Tony was basically recovering from surgery and adjusting to life with an electromagnet in his chest, Obadiah thankfully stayed out of his bed. Though when Tony learned it had been him who had hired the terrorist faction known as the Ten Rings to kill him, perhaps it was guilt that had kept him from taking his liberties out on Tony again. He was grateful that Obadiah had died trying to steal his technology and his company from him him. He'd never again have to submit to that man's disgusting desires.
