It’s time to meet the cast, starting with: Arlo Rainborn, a young and ambitious sorcerer in possession of powers from an unknown source. Unburdened from familial expectation for the first time, he pursues success within the local branch of the Gilded Hand mercenary company.

Arlo: Honestly, if I could get a single signature for the Gilded Hand, it would be a good day.

Hippodamo: Recruitment's still... slow, I take it.

Arlo: Well, we just have to implement our new, ah, postering campaign. That'll change everyone's mind, I'm sure of it.

Hippodamo: Of course.

Arlo: It's a great one this time, we got a great illustrator! I mean - we sort of - there *was* a great illustrator and then we sort of... hired our own, and... It's gonna be great, it's gonna be so good, we saved so much money on the whole thing!

[Entire crew losing it laughing.]

Clark: There *was* a great illustrator??

Hippodamo: (still laughing) I trust that that is true! There - (trails off still chuckling)

1) Vaping is confirmed to cause cancer. Vaping coats the lungs with toxic substances, such as heavy metals and benzene, which are known to cause cancer

2) Many vapes contain diacetyl, which, when inhaled causes popcorn lung, or scarring of the lung

3) Ultrafine particles, when being inhaled, can be lodged in the trachea (not good!)

4) Ultrafine particles can also constrict the arteries in the lungs potentially causing A HEART ATTACK

5) Vaping is relatively new. Not much studies have been done in comparison to tobacco. Plus, the vaping companies are powerful people. There is a large chance that they are purposely downplaying and even burying any evidence that vaping is harmful - just like the tobacco companies before them. They do not care about you, or your health, or the truth. They only care for money

sometimes you need to give up committing to the bit when someone genuinely can’t tell if it’s a bit or not and is getting distressed about it :/ sorry

sometimes all u need to do is take one second to say "(yeah this is a bit)" if someone is genuinely asking because they genuinely can't tell, and then you can continue with the bit. i just feel like refusing to acknowledge someone saying "i cant tell if youre joking or not" and you just continue, or even say, "im not joking" then you're not being very funny, you're just being kind of mean, i think.

obviously there is nuance to this and if you know someone really well sometimes going in harder on the bit will make them get that it's a bit and that's fine if you know them. but just be mindful, yknow? not everyone can pick up on stuff like that, and pushing harder on a bit by saying "im serious" when someone asks if you're joking or not can be harmful in some situations.
