Transit Chart for Piastri 06/04/01, 07/12/25 Abu Dhabi, UAE 17h
I’ve gone through Oscar’s transits for the final GP of the year, and one theme keeps coming up: resurfaced tensions, bubbling frustration, and repressed emotions. If he has effective ways of managing his feelings, these aspects are fueling his focus and energy. But if he’s let emotions fester or been repeatedly cut by small slights, this weekend could feel intense, both internally and in what we see. Some of these transits simply won’t let things stay buried.
Saturn Square Mars - Oscar is frustrated, and he needs to handle that energy carefully. This transit can feel like he is clashing with other people’s egos, but the tension often comes from them seeing him as a threat. He should avoid direct conflict, because he will be a loser. He needs to anchor that energy into something productive: focused effort, discipline, and a goal he can pour it into. This transit is shaping him under pressure. If his shields are strong, they hold. If not, they are being broken down and rebuilt.
Sun trine sun - This is the sweet spot of the year, happening twice annually, about four months before and after his birthday. Suddenly things feel smoother. Life has fewer bumps. Oscar gets to be himself with no major resistance from people or circumstances. His energy is higher, too, which traditionally makes this a great time for rest, vacations, or tying up loose ends.
Since this is his pre-birthday trine, he is being nudged to take stock of everything he has accomplished recently. What deserves to be solidified? What projects have potential if he gives them a bit more care? It may be tempting to think the hard part is over, but this trine is actually helping him prepare for future challenges. It is cleanup time: refine, reinforce, and salvage what matters.
Sun square moon - He acts with full emotional force under this transit, and whether that works out well depends on how he has been handling his inner world. If he has been avoiding or bottling stress from work, family, or anything else, the pressure becomes hard to bear. The Sun often represents authority figures in transits, so he may react strongly to higher ups in a way that feels out of character. In truth, the Sun is shining light on the unconscious, pulling hidden feelings into the open. It can be irritating, but he needs to let the emotional tide rise and fall before he tries to address the issue. Once the dust settles, he can handle the situation with clarity.
Sun conjunct pluto - Indicates an intense experience, Oscar can’t stay surface level. Whatever he does today, he will have to get involved and results may be powerful. There will be concerns over repairing something that's broken down, this can be an appliance/automobile or a situation that requires radical change to continue. He may have someone who is trying to exert unreasonable power over him today, forcing Oscar to defend his right to do things his way. This is a flow of creative or destructive energy whether the person means well or not.
If he crosses paths with someone who carries strong Plutonian traits, the encounter could be unfortunate.
Moon square sun/ Moon sextile moon - He wants familiar company and comforting memories around him. Emotional support, especially from women, steadies him and improves how he’s coming across publicly. Meanwhile, daily frustrations are harder to ignore. He’s more aware of who is taking him for granted, and his patience is thin. This transit pushes everything to the surface so he can address what needs to change.
Mercury trine mercury - Great time for objective communication. This transit favours all business and commercial transactions especially closing deals and making changes to plans.
Mercury Opp Saturn - Oscar is thinking hard about his role, reputation, and how others perceive him. The heaviness feels larger than it is because he keeps dwelling on his worries. Even so, this transit gives him sharp judgment and the ability to make necessary corrections. Breakup thoughts may arise, but they come from emotional overload rather than clarity. Guidance from a trusted authority figure will help, especially one who can speak to him like a father.
Mercury square uranus - His mind is going a mile a minute, things may not work out as he intends them to. If he’s flexible, it may be exciting. If he’s not flexible he is wracked with nerves. Think of unexpected changes/logistical surprises etc. Although, it has already passed (separating), there may be lingering effects. Caution while driving under this transit, do not make sudden impulsive moves that could lead to accidents.
Mars square moon - There may be more irritability and irrational behaviour today. Oscar needs to be careful about falling into childish behaviour. There is a strong need for him to stay conscious of what he’s doing at this time, as everything he’s buried is now demanding to be handled. Those who he is around everyday will feel the brunt of this. Although his emotional outbursts may feel intense, it’s important Oscar traces them back to their source rather than reacting to their surface expression.
Rashness under this transit can lead to an accident, even unintentionally. Hand advises caution about injuries to eyes, I believe it's from the renaissance period, who warned of hot (mars) tears (moon).
Mars conjunct mars - Same as I wrote for Qatar, but I’ll add on some extra details. Whatever Oscar begins now under this transit, it needs to be something he identifies and is given credit for. Because in 6 months he will face resistance to it and, in a year he will see if it was successful or not.
*I will add If Oscar finds he’s not feeling energized under this transit, it means he’s been repressing his energy. And, because this energy has to come out someway, he may endure another person’s aggression towards him.*
Mars sextile uranus - Excitement and unpredictability. He may be breaking free from routine, feeling free. Seeking new experiences and asserting his independence. Those around him may find him unreliable and unpredictable now because of Oscar’s sudden impulsive thinking. New friends and associating with people who are unsettling to his usual “normal”. I’d advise to do a risk assessment before any action, think things through but don’t stamp out your fire.
So, what do we think? Has Oscar done the inner work to let these transits fuel him, or is he wading through buried emotions that could make it harder.
i really like your oscar astrology analysis. is this something you might possibly continue like every race weekend or if there are any big astrological events? because i absolutely adore looking at this side of things, especially for oscar, but unfortunately i am not well versed in astrology
I would definitely love to continue to do it, although I’m sad there’s only one weekend left 😔
This is a repost from what I wrote in the F1 Community. But here's a quick look into the astrology of last weekend.
I looked into the transits for the Qatar GP, and the general Mclaren chaos, Papaya politics, and strange internal dynamics show up plainly in Oscar’s chart.
Right now, he has transiting Uranus closely conjunct his natal Saturn, and this continues until Uranus leaves Taurus in late April. This brings sudden shifts, disruptions, and instability to his eighth house and to Saturn itself. He is being pushed to rethink his relationship with authority, power, and long held beliefs tied to eighth house themes. It can feel like burnout, or like nothing he does is ever enough for the people above him. During the GP at 20h, Uranus sat at 29 degrees, which is the most concentrated and intense expression of its disruptive energy, and it was sitting right on his Saturn.
Last weekend also had transit Mars the closest it has been to his natal Mars. That brings energy, sharp focus, and a sense of being fully switched on. It can increase the risk of burnout. This transit gives the drive to break out of a rut or push toward a goal, and astrologers across many traditions agree it brings courage through various channels, whether rebellion, intuition, or a guardian spirit.
His transits to Mercury, the Moon, Saturn, and Mars all echo the same theme: Oscar is meeting resistance or facing consequences after acting assertively. He is starting to see, with much more clarity, a situation where he was overpromised or grew too quickly. Now that the effects are visible, he is making adjustments. He is gaining emotional clarity as well, which helps him navigate everyday decisions. Transits to his Moon also show support coming from women and smoother communication with family or close relationships.
Overall, there is a steady reopening or resurfacing of old wounds, insecurities, and long held beliefs for Oscar. He is being pushed to make real internal changes and recognize his own strength.
This is technically a part 2, because I already posted the fruity drivers before, but I was missing some drivers and that was bugging me

Here is his chart for 5:40pm, making him a Libra rising in the first decan. I did this purposefully, as in the wheel on the right shows, Asc is influenced by moon and mercury.
The majority of Piastri's personal planets and nodes fall into cardinal signs (aries/libra/capricorn/cancer). Hill describes the combined effect of these signs as the “Cardinal Type”. These people are self-starters, independent and active and, on the other hand can be impulsive, arrogant and explosive. As Hill notes and you likely inferred this modality closely resembles Aries.
Hill gives a series of questions to answer about a client’s chart to get a clear astro physiogonomy picture. Here are those answered for Oscar –
Moon in Virgo
Ascendant in Libra
Ascendant planetary ruler is Venus; his venus is in Aries
Sun in Aries
Opposite of sun sign Libra
Planets close to his Asc: Moon
Planets conjunct planetary ruler of Sun, Moon and Asc
Sun in Aries, planetary ruler is mars, mars conjunct Venus and Vertex
Moon in Virgo, planetary ruler is mercury, there are no planets conjunct mercury.
Asc in Libra, the planetary ruler is Venus, Venus conjunct mercury/DSC/Vertex.
Any sign with 2 or more planets: Aries
Dominant element based on Sun/Moon/Asc
Sun in Aries - Fire
Moon in Virgo - Earth
Asc in Libra - Air
Hill describes Libra rising as pure venusian. The head and face are usually egg shaped, sometimes round. The forehead tends to be high and full, the jaw and chin weak. The skin can be smooth and velvety, or prone to acne if Mars is afflicted. The hair is shiny and moist, and the upper lip often has that classic cupids bow seen in Venus ruled signs. Overall, this is the “baby face” type, with very little bone structure pushing forward.
Libra risings are often labeled attractive, but I find that true when the client has venus or sun conjunct their rising. It also helps when Libra shows up elsewhere in the personal planets like the Sun, Venus, Mercury, Mars, or Moon. Take Charles Leclerc as an example. He has a Libra Sun and Mercury with a Scorpio rising. He is easy on the eyes, and the Scorpio edge adds the sharp pull that keeps you looking. A single Libra placement alone does not guarantee peak beauty. It supports what I mentioned earlier: a pleasant face, balanced and appealing, but not always the kind that holds your attention.
Since Oscar’s Moon sits closest to his ascendant, we can pull some Virgo flavor into his emotional and internal processing. Hill notes that Virgos tend to swing between being exceptionally tidy or the complete opposite. They are pragmatic, cheerful, and quick witted. The Moon here can give patience, speed, precision, and a knack for detail.
Physically, Hill notes Virgo traits like thin lips with points at the corners, a long and narrow nose relative to the family line, a reserved or shy manner, small hands, and an alert, efficient way of moving. Their hair is often less saturated in color and can grey early.
Now, in practice, the major force shaping Oscar’s appearance is his Aries stellium and strong Fire type
Hill describes Aries signatures as something striking about the upper face or head, which can show up in the eyes, eyebrows, forehead, or hair. The nose may be narrow and aquiline or upturned with more exposed nostrils. Aries natives often have freckles, moles, or facial scars, a widows peak, and a flushed look. They tend to be fair within their gene pool and usually lean and muscular. Hill also notes that careers calling for initiative, courage, creativity, and assertiveness suit Aries well. Can you guess one of the careers listed for Aries? Yes, a race car driver.
As for being a Fire type, this shows up when someone has an excess of fire signs, especially a strong Sun or Mars in the natal chart. Oscar has both. Hill describes the Fire body type as lean and muscular, shaped like a triangle with the base at the top. The temperament is choleric, which points to someone who is assertive, goal oriented, and independent. Fire type men also have a known tendency toward early balding.
Moreover, Oscar reads strongly as a Mars type (aries abundance). This makes him forthright, direct, and quick to pick up on anything happening around him. Mars types have an athletic build, a widows peak or a sharp V at the hairline, red or warm toned hair, moles, scars, and may be acne-prone. Their head shape is square and angular with a well defined jaw and cheekbones. The hairline is high and straight, which balances the strong nose and chin and gives that proud, warrior like quality. The eyes are medium to large, and the gaze is intense with a noticeable spark. The brows sit low, are well developed, and can overhang slightly.
Hill outlines two Martian nose types. The first is the eagle or hawk nose with a firm tip, a strong bridge, and a sharp contour, sometimes with flared or cut nostrils. The second is the blunted boxer’s nose, more square and pug like, with a bulldog quality. The mouth is firm in structure and can show up in many sizes, but often the lip line is sharply defined or held tight. Mars types have strong nasolabial folds and lips that are naturally quite red.
As you can see, no matter where we place Oscar’s first house, his Aries stellium puts a strong stamp on both his appearance and his way of moving through the world. But this raises the question: if he carries so much Aries, why is he not more impulsive, arrogant, or explosive in the way a Sun Mercury Venus cluster in Aries might suggest?
With a hypothetical Libra rising, Oscar becomes a day sect native, since his Sun sits above the horizon at the ascendant and descendant axis. This shifts the balance of his chart and strengthens certain planets, making them more influential in both his emotional patterns and his physical presentation. When we look at the planets he has in Aries, the picture becomes clearer.
Venus resembles Libra. The refined, slender, and willowy side of Venus gets a boost here. Because Venus is in a fire sign, that elegance is warmed up and made more expressive. It heightens the Venusian pull toward diplomacy and grace.
The Sun amplifies all solar qualities, especially in a fire sign. Confidence, presence, and vitality shine more boldly.
Mercury resembles Gemini. The taller, expressive, and playful side of Mercury is strengthened. In Aries, Mercury develops even more versatility, mobility, creative thinking, communication skill, restlessness, and wit.
All together, these planets take the raw Aries fire and polish it with Venusian balance and solar clarity, which helps explain why Oscar reads calmer and more composed than a typical Aries heavy chart might suggest. Even more telling, a Libra rising in the first decan is known for strong self reliance and independence beneath a playful and approachable exterior.
Now, what about the other factors that support Libra as his rising sign based on how the planets and signs fall through his houses?
With a Libra rising, his third house lands in Sagittarius, which is ruled by Jupiter. The third house speaks to siblings, divination, and short distances (this can also be local community/neighbours). When Jupiter rules this house, I would expect abundance in these areas. He has mars here and his actual Jupiter falls in his 8th house or 9th based on the house system used.
If we read the third house ruler in the eighth house using Placidus, the priorities fall into classic eighth house territory: death, debt, fear, and taxes. It can also point to loss connected to a sibling or their local community.
If we read the third house ruler in the ninth house using Whole signs, the focus shifts to travel, the widening of horizons, higher education, and philosophy. This can describe a sibling involved in higher education, religion, or life abroad, or it can point to the native moving far from home.
Mars in the 3rd house brings energy here, so it repeats the jupiter influence, the native may have had many siblings or a very busy house. Anger/aggression is expressed with sharp, cutting words and sarcasm. Native may be able to easily put someone in their place with their words than any outward aggressive action. They’re quick and on it, a verbal spat is useless against them. It may also indicate butting heads/competition with one of their siblings. Maybe a good motivational speaker. Sag here gives it an independent, candid, and a can-do attitude.
Next, we have Capricorn on the fourth house cusp. The house itself is empty (bar for his South node), but its ruler, Saturn, sits in the eighth house. This placement suggests a strong awareness of what you inherit from your family, along with the possibility of loss, or other 8th house themes connected to the home. I also tend to read wherever Capricorn falls as an area where the chart holder feels a sense of inadequacy. In the fourth house, they have a home, a family but one that is emotionally distant or the native is cut off from experiencing their home. Think being fed enough for sustenance but never with love and care.
His South Node in Capricorn suggests innate mastery, discipline, and a past life filled with success and respect. He knows how to achieve goals and reap rewards for himself, but may struggle to extend that ability to others. This sets up the Cancer North Node. With strong family responsibilities, he is here to learn the needs of others. A South Node in the fourth house can place the native in roles like family supervisor or sole provider, often facing challenges that feel heavier than he can manage. By learning to understand and nurture his family, he fulfills his North Node path. With Cancer guiding the North Node, the lesson is to embrace warmth and emotional support rather than material gains.
In past lives, he was highly successful, achieving much in his career or public endeavors. By the end of that life, however, he may have regretted his sacrifices made in the pursuit of achievement (neglecting family, loved ones, and personal relationships). Now his wish is granted. In this life, family, love, and personal relationships come easily, in abundance. Yet he can feel confused because he still carries all the talents, drive, and ambition from his past life. He has forgotten the wish that set this life in motion, and now must learn to work with this gift of love, reconcile it within himself, and begin to remember the wish he once longed for.
For some reason, I see mentorship as a way to rectify this heavy SN. Cancer NN in 10th is calling him to serve others, and what better way than mentoring another young driver within the realm he is publicly recognized for (10th house matters). Oscar may not necessarily seek this role out, but will have others inadvertently put him in it and bring this side out of him.
I could go through the entire chart, really, but I promised a focus on the rising sign. I hope you found this a fun read, and if you’re interested, I can expand it and explore the whole chart, house by house!
When I first saw Oscar, my impression was that his face was tepid. It neither drew me in nor pushed me away. It’s balanced and pleasant, but not the sort that holds your gaze. My mind went straight to Libra rising. After revisiting Judith Hill’s The Astrological Body Types: Face, Form and Expression, I found myself torn between her descriptions of Aquarius rising and Libra rising. So in Part 1, I’ll read Piastri’s chart as a Libra rising, and in the next installment I’ll approach it as an Aquarius.
I know, I know. The poll leaned heavily toward an earth rising. But as we go through his hypothetical chart, you will see exactly where that earthy vibe slips in.
Below are the features I have noted for Piastri so far. If you spot anything else worth adding, tell me. These are the traits guiding our rising sign debate:
• facial and body moles
• prominent forehead
• higher hairline
• slight downward tilt at the outer eye
• soft widows peak
• light or mousy brown hair with a gentle wave
• soft chin
• high cheekbones
• inverted triangle (tapered waist)
• square palm with relatively slim fingers
• straight nose
I purposefully left out the neck because F1 training gives almost every driver that classic Taurean look.
I always thought oscar would have an earth sign in his chart? Given his steadiness, patience, pragmatic view on things, groundedness and tendency to be a creature of comfort and homebody that keeps a small circle. He lacks materiality and stubborness but i see some elements - the perfectionist of a virgo for sure. The natural beauty. Fire and earth makes sense to me but i don't understand rising signs too deeply and how those work when you have a different sun sign!
I totally get what you mean! Oscar does have quite a bit of earth, his SN/Moon/Saturn. But once we have his rising, we can look into the decans and expressions of the signs it may make more sense!
What do you make of Saturn on the 29th degree?Mine is at 29 in Aries 10th house and a lot of people say I should just read for Saturn in Taurus (regarding the father relationship).
Hi there! I'm not sure whether you're asking about your father relationship based on this placement or just your placement. You would also look at the Sun, 10th house/4th house ruler.
29 is considered an anaretic degree in astrology. Typically it indicates wherever it is, you will have a concentrated expression of the placement. So no do not read for the next sign, as this is true Saturn in Aries expressed.
I'm not sure about any other aspects your planets may make to Saturn, or if you have any others conjunct it. But when we look at the 10th house, it is our 'public/career self' its the house we wear in how we conduct business in our life. Not to be confused with the first house (our 'self'). This is normal as we all have different ways we present ourselves within private or public sectors of our lives.
I would think in your career and how you present yourself is under scrutiny from your father. Whether you're ambitious enough, or successful enough. This can in fact be feelings you have yourself because of authority figures in these sectors. Your father and these authority figures ("bosses") may be cold to you.
In Aries, the sign is known for being a self-starter, pioneer, first sign of the zodiac but on the flipside can be impulsive, imprudent and "the child" of the zodiac.
Your father may be quick to anger over your career choices/ public reputation then settle back to being cold. You may struggle with jobs/choosing a career, that is not to say you don't know what you want to do but how to? Because the beauty of Saturn is he gives us discernment, alongside all the lessons he gives us. As well, wherever he is puts a limit on the house. So you may have limited career options, public roles and status. Think someone who is born into a certain family- their career options and social status are somewhat limited.
Although Anon, your position being 29 deg you may have gone through the brunt of Saturn's lessons/need for discipline. There may be just one last thing you need to learn. Hence the usual 'read the next sign' approach which I don't agree with. So, is there something you want to do but are the first to do so? Or, the first in your family? Whatever it is, you need the pioneering spirit of Aries and the discipline of Saturn to hone it into success rather than something rash. Your father's approval will slowly be won as you do.
This is all I can say off the top of my head in regards to your placement! I can't say much else because I don't have your chart nor your age. Hope it helped!
I've been playing around with Oscar Piastri's chart. And I wanted to find his rising and... I have an inkling. Especially based on his features and mannerisms.
I wonder if you folks agree, so lmk what you think his rising is!
I will be doing a big post on which I think it is and why/how it ties into his chart + answering the ask from last year (yikes sorry!)
please do oscar's chart analysis. i think his will be interesting to see cause he def exhibits virgo moon energy imo and he's already said he isn't into horoscopes and astrology at all so would be VERY interesting to see his dynamics on his natal
Hi, you're not the first to ask! I'll definitely start with him although, the news of Danny leaving is definitely putting a damper on my inspiration 😭

A disclaimer: Carlos Sainz does not have his birth time public, therefore the house placements are all based on different astrology methods and may in no way be accurate. But astrology is predictive and I used that to bring this little piece today. Also, I'm not a professional just someone whose been learning and interested for years!

As I mentioned in my initial post his relationship and dynamic with his father is intriguing to me, honestly all the father-son relationships within the Formula racing series are.
Firstly, since we do not have his birth time, I want to read the dynamics for both a night and day chart since we do not know his rising. Then we can see from each description which dynamic we see most.
𖤓 If he were a day chart (Sun in Houses 1-6) we would look at the Sun to see the father-son relationship.
ִֶָ࣪☾. If he were a night chart (Sun in Houses 7-12) we would look at Saturn.
Carlos has his Sun in Virgo and a Saturn Pisces. Using the Pullen Astrology method, it housed his Sun in the 11th house and his Saturn in the 5th. Making his first house - Scorpio like Leclerc. (Is Carlos a Scorpio rising though?). So because of this I'm feel more pulled to the night chart aspect first.
For this part 1, I will speak on his Saturn placement.
°.🪐.ೃ࿔*:・ Saturn in Pisces in the 5th House Retrograde (Rx) .ೃ࿔*:・
Firstly, What/Who is Saturn?
Saturn within our charts is a generational planet so, the sign it is in does not weigh as heavily in importance as much as where it's housed in. This placement lets us know where we may see lessons (karmic or otherwise) and restrictions in our life. Hence, why where Saturn is stationed we see delays as we traverse through our lessons. It also gives insight to our relationship and dynamics with our fathers/ authority figures. I believe this is due to the nature of Saturn, he is teaching us lessons here so until we are confident in ourselves we defer our authority to another. But as each Saturn Return nears and passes, if we have put in the work we see a slow reclamation of our authority back. Many claim Saturn subtracts so depending on the house it's in, it may be beneficial or harmful. But in my experience, wherever it is stationed in your chart is where you need discipline within yourself. Because there are many aspects and placements within our chart that mitigate the malefic ones we have and vice versa, there is no one placement that's the culprit of your circumstance. Please keep in mind a natal chart is an energy map of what we are given to work with in this life and, once you're aware you can use it to your advantage by working with it than against.
What does Saturn Retrograde (Rx) mean?
Typically, a retrograde planet brings a more introspective dynamic to it. The native turns the planet's energy inward rather than out. But Saturn Rx indicates issues with the father. This is not emotional or physical absence that we see when Saturn is in the 8th or 12th house. But more so, a conflict or a falling out with one's father that may come later in life. It does not have to be severe but there may be conflict from which a change arises.
ex. Changing your relationship dynamics with your Dad if they're overbearing - you may set boundaries and take back control or your father falling out of favour in your eyes due to cheating/an action etc.
Saturn in the 5th House?
The 5th house is all about fun, creativity, and children. With Saturn in Sainz’s 5th house, there’s likely a sense of restriction around fully embracing these areas. It can feel like an internal battle to let loose and express joy or creativity, as if he had to grow up too quickly or take on more responsibility early on. Saturn, often seen as the father, may represent his actual father’s legacy, making it harder for him to feel free in his self-expression, as if he needed to be more of a man than a child to live up to his father's expectations. This placement may bring partners who are emotionally unavailable, prone to substance abuse or other tendencies that may create a toxic relationship. People with this placement often feel they must prove themselves worthy of love, creativity and joy, holding back until they feel secure, which can lead to imposter syndrome. This may manifest as hiding their creative endeavours from others until they feel confident in its or their success in it to share with others. This placement may also suggest wanting fewer children or waiting until later in life to start a family. There are so many more interpretations because this is a joyous house, but I'll keep it until here for now.
Saturn in Pisces?
Here, we see an interesting contrast between Saturn and Pisces. Saturn is all about authority, rules, and structure, while Pisces is more fluid and free-spirited, with one foot in reality and the other in a dream world. Pisces doesn’t follow strict boundaries like Saturn does—it prefers to blur the lines and go with the flow. Think of it this way, where Saturn sees and imposes fences, lines and boundaries, Pisces is aware there is nothing which can keep it in within any 4 walls. It will traverse where it desires, and must go.
When you mix Saturn with Pisces, especially in retrograde, it softens Saturn's usual strictness. Instead of rigid rules, this combination brings a more flexible and intuitive approach to responsibility. It’s still Saturn, but hazy, allowing for a deeper, more fluid pervasiveness of being in one's life.
So what does this all mean for Sainz Jr.?
Carlos seems to have known restraint from a young age, whether it was controlling his desire to play, managing his temper, or staying disciplined with his responsibilities. Saturn in his 5th house speaks to this internalized self-control, which he has likely carried throughout his life. In an article even the writer clearly sees this as he explains, "In fact, the impression is that Carlos is more reserved about everything, including his frustrations.” Now, if other planets, like the Moon, were present in this house, it could highlight specific dynamics—like wanting to indulge in fun and parties, but ultimately feeling content alone. But Saturn is alone.
When it comes to his father, I see him as a constant, yet subtle, force. His father’s presence seems to envelop all aspects of his life (this is the nebulous nature of Pisces)—personal, familial, and professional—blurring the lines between Carlos as an individual and Carlos Sainz Jr., the son of a legacy. This isn’t a harsh or domineering relationship, though; rather, it’s a responsibility Carlos feels he’s accepted. He’s not just a boy carving his own path but someone who will naturally grow into the man his father is, possibly surpassing him, without getting distracted by unnecessary pleasures. His father, being represented by Pisces, likely expresses love and kindness, but still serves as an authority figure—a guiding hand that never fully lets go.

Okay now to the fun part! This is where if anyone doubts astrology or the power of a saturn return have them read this.
Up until late 2023, Sainz's journey through F1 was solid and well-paced. From Toro Rosso to Renault, then McLaren, and finally landing a coveted seat at the Prancing Horse, it was clear his trajectory was always on the rise. With multiple podium finishes and his ability to support his teammate’s success while securing his own, Ferrari had every reason to keep him on board until they were ready to promote talent from their feeder leagues. His strategic thinking, demonstrated again at Monza, and calm under pressure made him a key asset. Yet, despite his strong performance, Sainz found himself without a seat—at the very moment when he’s achieving greater heights.
So what happened? His Saturn Return.
This turning point coincides with Saturn’s return to his natal Pisces, signaling a time of transition. Saturn's transit through the 5th house is often marked by endings—whether in relationships, careers, or personal chapters—as it challenges the individual to find their limits and redefine them. For many, this transit brings about a painful but necessary breaking point, especially in long-term relationships or roles. It's as if Saturn strips away what no longer serves, forcing growth through struggle and laying the groundwork for your next 6 to 17 years.
In Sainz’s case, the signs are unmistakable. Since Saturn re-entered Pisces on March 7, 2023, he has experienced a series of shifts—breaking up with his long-term girlfriend, Isabel Hernandez, who, fittingly, is a Pisces herself. His search for a seat in a series he's been in since 2015. Alongside these changes, Sainz quietly ventured into new endevours, like the opening of his burger restaurant, suggesting he is planting seeds for life outside of racing. He had appendicitis around March 6-8, 2024. while Saturn Rx in Pisces opposed his Virgo Sun and Mercury (Virgo's planetary ruler is mercury). There was also a pluto cross to his uranus which typically in medical astrology foretells a medical emergency/ailment to watch out for and pluto was crossing his mercury too.
Essentially, areas where things were easy before have become exponentially harder for him. And, Carlos during this time may find himself measuring his worthiness to allow joy or fun by how much he's accomplished or got done so far.
There’s undoubtedly more going on with Sainz, but this is the nature of Saturn’s return. Saturn continues to demand to see if you have mastered his lessons, and at every turn there is a new question, you must answer to satisfy him. To which I think so far Carlos has.
Carlos Sainz’s move to Williams in 2025 feels like the start of something new, both for him and the team. In that famous GQ piece by Tom Lamont, Ferrari was compared to Saturn, the god who “devours his own sons,” a haunting reference to the tragic deaths of Ferrari drivers under Enzo’s leadership. The parallel with Carlos is hard to miss—his father’s influence always looming, and now he’s stepping away from Ferrari, which in many ways has been F1’s Saturn. (Is this a foreshadow of what's to come with his own father?)
After eight years of working his way up to Ferrari, this shift to Williams begs the question: has Carlos mastered his Saturn return, breaking free to carve out his own path, or has Ferrari, like Saturn, consumed him in the process? Moving to Williams might be his chance to break free from the pressure of legacy and expectations, and find a new, more personal direction in his career—one where he can build something fresh. But this too carries the weight of Saturn’s lessons, where the struggle and loss lead to eventual mastery—or the acceptance of limitations.

I have never met Sainz and probably will not in the future. But he reminds me of a bull, resolutely toiling away, responsible and accountable in his role of what he must do. It is quite melanchlonic because I want to ask are you happy, or are you happy because this is all you know...all you've ever done?
‧₊˚ Thank you for reading, I know it's a long read but I hope it was worth it! If you have any drivers you'd like me to do a piece on or any aspects, please send me an ask or even on this post. And, I will be happy to research. ‧₊˚
