My thoughts on EP 1

Spoilers obv!  - I loved that we got to see more of Sarah and her final day. She and Joel were so sweet together and of course her death continues to wreck me and now we have a live action version to end us D:  - Ellie’s “fuck you” was beautiful <3  - JOEL IS LITTLE SPOON CONFIRMED.  - Joel’s reaction when he noticed Tess’s beat up face was perfection. - Idk how I feel about Joel and Tommy still being in contact. I love their surprise reunion in the game but we’ll see!  - I liked seeing Ellie’s time with the Fireflies shown. Her shaky little voice when she asked “Why won’t you let me go home?” BROKE ME.  - I know it shouldn’t but Joel absolutely wiping Ellie out like that made me laugh.  - LOVE that they kept the “your watch is broken” scene was exactly like the game.  - Overall I LOVED it and it stays accurate to the original story while mixing it up a bit and fleshing things out. I have more thoughts but these are just my quick first thoughts after a first watch.
